Well the item contest back then was people designing outfits - just desiging them - not actually pixelling them. so after they choose a winner they had to have someone actually PIXEL the outfits...and I don't remember if people were upset because they didn't win or not but I do remember the bad thoughts about that.
but maybe if it was just a friendly competition between us pixel artists...it would be cool to have prompts to keep us going. Like - week 1: everyone make an item that is grass themed...week 2: everyone make an elegant dress. Just to push ourselves and give ideans and motivation? @Kendra - the shape of the male one needs work unfortunately :( I'm really kind of scared to go back and tackle it as it needs a lot of work lol - the weightlessness of it was done incorrectly - looks like marilyn monroe as opposed to a wind swept jacket... XDDD The females ones though _ i'm dying to get them in teh shop and see some recolors and see people wear them!!! love how they turned out :D Anyway - I'm off to bed guys - had a rough day, super late now <33 be back tomorrow...or later today really... I do not think it is sore loser for the last contest. But I think more to technical difficulties...but anyway~ if to keep motivated! I would suggest taking turns in hosting therefore everyone have a chance to expose to other themes that themselves cannot think off. Talking about Marilyn Monroe... there was this diaper advertisement... they dress the toddler up with miniature size monroe blonde curly wig AND the flowy white dress! AWWW SO CUTE! and they have the fan behind the camera keep blowing the skirt upward... lol. the point that the toddler press down the skirt at a few seconds actually really looks like Monroe pose is so funny! |
