Thanks Cora <3

We have a half day at school today because we are preparing for our fall carnival...so I went to my apartment to go pack some things and an hour later I left because there were SO MANY BUGS....I gave up...My friend is gonna come help me Sunday morning before my parents come and get a rental truck and help me move it all D:

Cora 10-26-2012 06:07 PM

Damn....I'm glad you are leaving, that is not a healthy place to be....sounds like it should be condemned.

It really should be - it's absolutely disgusting! D:

Cora 10-27-2012 02:58 PM

It sounds it. I'm glad my home, as bad asthe neighborhood can be.....does not have that problem.

Maria-Minamino 10-27-2012 03:42 PM

The apartment was also located in a really terrible neighborhood...but it was the roaches that just topped the cake for me. They are giving me my deposit back and everything....they didn't take me seriously so my mom pushed it all the way to the top.

Cora 10-27-2012 03:50 PM

Go Mom!

Gotta love mothers don't cha xP

Maria-Minamino 10-27-2012 03:54 PM

Always! She even got my deposit back for me :D

Cora 10-27-2012 04:09 PM

Awsomesauce!

Maria-Minamino 10-27-2012 09:05 PM

Other good news - got a new computer. If I'm going back to school AND teaching my 4 year old netbook, as great as it is, isn't gonna cut it. Plus my stepdad's computer died recently...and I was already considering buying one...so I did :) I gave my compu to my daddy and bought a bigger, newer sony vaio. My little vaio has lasted 4 years no problems but it was too small for all the documents.

My compu came and I got it today and it's a bigger screen = easier drawing :D PLUS it has the NEW paint which is what I've been using on my mom's compu to make pixels with....the older one was harder to work with....I'm so happy - can pixel now any time I want :D

xuvrette 10-28-2012 06:42 AM

SONY VAIO!
Vaio is a higher range, how much price different between Vaio and Mac?

Maria-Minamino 10-28-2012 10:44 AM

I'm not sure the difference between them honestly. But I got my vaio netbook like four years ago afte the computer I bought for college kept messing up and dying and blue screening, etc. i was spending so much money to fix it that a new one would be cheaper. So I got the little netbook for 499 online...no tax, no shipping cost, and a free 3 year warranty. It has been almost 4 years and had no problems at all.

To me, it was worth it to by the sony vaio because I knew sony was a good name and it has done so well for me for four years. So when it was time to upgrade, I decided to go back to sony vaio even though they are more expensive.

I'm pretty sure macs are more expensive than even a vaio though. My vaio was 509.95 this time around....aren't ipads like 700.00? I'm pretty sure their computer computers are more than that even!

xuvrette 10-28-2012 07:49 PM

hmm, okie~ I had not been checking prices for computer for 2 years since I got my HP...
I am not that Mac maniac though... just also not so vaio maniac. Ironically, I bought Sony phone, video camera and camera. XD the prices for phone and camera do not pose such a huuuuuge difference with other brands.

Shadami 10-28-2012 09:18 PM

your items create great inspiration for me somehow. xD

Maria-Minamino 10-29-2012 12:51 AM

xuvvie - I've actually never owned anything from apple...no ipod, ipad, mac, etc. Nothing XDDD too expensive...can never afford it XDDD

I had originally bought a gateway computer but in my second year in college it was alreayd dying - the chargeport had come unsodered from the motherboard and that was super expensive to repair...then it kept blue screening...then they fixed the blue screen but the speakers stopped working...then it started blue screening again. and I was spending so much in repairs because the warranty was only for one year...so I just bought a new computer because it was cheaper D: I thought about HP but we always had problems with HP computers in my household and thought about dell but my friends all had dell and had problems. macs are so expensive and I don't have the patience to learn the system...so I went with sony XDDD I looove it :D

@Sha - awwww <3 I'm so happy :D Hopefully I can start to create NEW items to inspire you :D

PS - I'm all moved guys - hopefully there will be no more bugs!!!

off to make a halloween avi maybe i think xD

xuvrette 10-29-2012 05:14 AM

I am pretty fine with my HP...
few years ago, my dad's company support dell, which he get me a dell laptop.
then 3 years ago, dad's company found fault with dell and change to support HP, there I got my HP desktop. XD mostly base on the company's review.
2 years ago, got another tiny Laptop, Toshiba Protege. That is the smallest laptop in the shop that time. not smallest netbook, it is a LAPTOP. it makes a big difference. XD Always emphasize the word 'LAPTOP' when telling my aunts about the Protege.

Cora 10-29-2012 12:46 PM

LOL. My mom has had a dell, HP, and gateway desktop over the years. To be honest her gateway desktop runs like a beast...that's why I got the laptop when I first went to college. But then I got there and after a year it was already breaking down and dying and costing a ton to fix so I was like "UGH" XDD

I've heard the acer? asus? computers have a ton of problems...

I guess Acer is the problematic ones. Many of my classmates get Asus. Cost wise is better. And they run heavy programmes like Adobe and 3D.

But truth to be said, there was hardware harddisk problem for my HP in the first 3 months. But the support came and fix it promptly which lasted until now. I guess it is just simply bad luck for the hardware, not necessary meaning its quality low. It has a inbuilt hardware healthy check, which check the health of all hardwares inside the CPU, which I felt safer.
