I smother everything in sugar these days. My new favourite food is fruit rolled in syrup and then rolled in sugar.
|
Haha. XD I've actually gotten out of most sweets as I've gotten older. But not ice cream.
|
Kumquats rolled in sugar are amazing.
|
D; I've never had the chance to eaven have kumquats.
|
Sorry! No wifi xD I am on my phone >.<
|
It's all right. XD Did we somehow pester you? :o
|
WHAT. MOOGIE HAS A THREAD NOW?
*loves all over the hangout* those stains will never come out... |
That's okay, Keyori. Your love marks are a grace, not a stain. Welcome! ^_^
|
It's more like I'm just shedding second-hand cat hair all over the place.
|
And the beautiful white sheet is made even prettier once the colorful hairs are added! XD
|
|
Any color is color at all, and that's coming from a color blind chick!
In any case, glad you're here! |
Oh, color-blind? Just wildly guessing, are you red-blind?
Keyori is color-blind in a very very very strange way. She's got different colorblindness in each eye, but both are so subtle that there's not really a difference in day-to-day but they test differently. One is red-blind and the other is green-blind. Each is less than 5% loss though. So even if she lost an eye, she'd still see all colors. She also has randomly slipped into third person. Oops. |
Speaking in third person is nothing to "oops" about. Keyori is pretty awesome! XD
That's interesting. I'm color deficient, actually. My eyes confuse similar colors and wavelengths and can't distinguish between them. They cause me to mix up green and yellow all the time, as well as, more potently, purple with either red or blue. I can NOT see purple at all. I've only met one other person who was color deficient - my math professor of last quarter. While my worst color is purple, hers is orange. |
Sounds like blue deficient? Since you're mixing green and yellow.
I love studying vision. I always wonder if there are people who can see a wider spectrum than what most people can, not that they'd really be able to convey what they see to the rest of us xD I probably could have been an optometrist if sticking needles and razors on eyeballs didn't freak me out so terrifically. We had a lesson on vision in my human factors class and it was just so fascinating! Astigmatism, colorblindness, "floaters," motion perception... But then, I'm sure it would be less fascinating if I had to live with any of those conditions myself. I'm the only one in my family who has no glasses; even my younger brother recently got a pair for his astigmatism. I really need a checkup though. I haven't seen anyone about my vision in over five years. I don't really squint at anything yet though, but it would be nice just to see where I'm at. And the last time I did see someone, I had four vision tests (for glasses) in two days. I kept bouncing from doctor to doctor and each one would test me even though I insisted I didn't need corrective lenses. (I had gone in for what turned out to be a lesion on a muscle behind one of my eyes, which kept me from being able to move my eyeball for a few days. It gave me double-vision when I looked in certain directions without turning my head, and moderate headaches, but otherwise I was fine and it wound up going away on its own). |
Haha you can't pester me! :) I am alright. I am sitting with my boyfriend~ woohoo it is his birthday. :3
Plus I am an owner this thread so I gotta be somewhat active ya know. |
Happy birthday to him! :D
|
He says thanks xD

:o I just realized that maybe that's why my 3DS and intense 3D effects on movies and things don't give me headaches when it does others! Because I'm so used to double imaging anyway! Sorry. Anyways, I'm glad your lesion went away! C'est tres bien! |
Honestly I think the worst part was just getting a series of MRIs that took like three hours. I'm a tad claustrophobic and they wouldn't let me just get up and stretch halfway through, but they had to keep restarting anyway because I was getting fidgety for laying down for so long. If they had just let me walk around for a minute it could have gone so much quicker!
Wait, so what about like those 3D Magic Eye posters and books? Can you use those? o3o Lucky you! I was just telling hubby today how, if I got a 3DS, I would probably never use the 3D feature on it because it gives me headaches xD BUT IT HAS NETFLIX! And that is totally worth it to me. Ever since my original DS was destroyed by liquid laundry detergent (RIP little buddy), there has been a hole in my heart for handheld gaming. I still have all of my GBA and DS games in the hopes that one day I'll get another one. I miss Cooking Mama ;_; |

You should get a 3DS. And at least TRY the 3D effect. It might not bother you! You can alter the intensity of the effect. So you can have it very dimly in 3D. This should bother you less. Even if you couldn't use the 3D feature at all, I still say get one. It's truly my favorite system I've ever owned. So many features. So much awesome. And a myriad of great games have already been released on it, with more to come. The only downside is no GBA slot, but the Market/Virtual Console make up for it. :boogie: I am afraid I am unfamiliar with "3D Magic Eye Posters." o.O |
I cannot have sweets. Diabeetus.
|
:[ That's sad. I'm sorry, Flink.
|
Aww, no GBA slot? Maybe I'll go old school then and get a refurb. But Netflix is so tempting...
I demo'd the 3DS in a couple of stores, and every time I'd start getting a headache after like five minutes. It looks really neat, but I just strain my vision I guess and I can't do it for long. Maybe I can "exercise" my eyes and get used to it after using it a lot? Yeah, DS withdrawal has been tough. It died during summer 2008 when I moved my stuff across my college campus. Liquid detergent bottles are NOT liquid-tight, and will leak all over your stuff if they turn over. Lesson learned. WHAT, you've never seen a magic eye poster? Those things were like the coolest! magic eye - Google Search FRINK! *glomp* So I hear you have a gentleman caller? Yay! :D |
Doesn't the 3ds have the option to turn off the 3d?
Alice: It broke my heart to find out. I'd lost a good bit of weight and figured I was improving. Then a bunch of heriditary problems hit me. Keyori: Yush! I have a boyfriend. He's awesome. |
