I may be a horrible person for thinking this, but I thought it was kind of silly. I was appalled at first when I thought I read the link saying the cat was thrown into a helicopter. I think in terms of it being in tribute to the cat, eh I dunno it doesn't strike me as too morbid.

I knew a lady who had all her cats and dogs stuffed and put them in the spots they slept while they were alive. The thought of the animal once being living is what creeps me out.

I get creeped out enough by animals that are stuffed and mounted. This is just.... beyond weird.

Some people just love their pets too much to completely give them up. It's not my thing, but it's a behavioral thing I can understand from their perspective.

Hubby clarified that he wouldn't want to ever do that to our pets. So now I feel better.
He made a similar device for his senior design project, a quad-rotor helicopter thingie. Just sans cat. So I thought it was maybe a passive suggestion to me, but it's not, thank goodness. |
That's kind of creepy, if you replace the cat with a human. Like, you're essentially flying a dead body around. |
That's pretty much how I was seeing it and those stuffed pets at that lady's house. Dead bodies watching me. o.o; I get that it's a coping thing but just not my thing.

Yeah, they made these flying... male bits. And someone made one in real life and flew it at a press conference by Garry Kasparov (he's a chess grandmaster, and has also done some stuff with politics).
