I can't cook/bake. I burn EVERYTHING! Or undercook it, that happens a lot too. |
Don't time it. Just start at 5 minutes under the recommended cook time and then keep checking it every 2-3 minutes with a toothpick.

Oh, and last time I made a cake it went flat.

Leave a little lump ;D
Since cake doesn't rise like bread dough, the lumps are what help give it bubbles. Beating it too much will result in really dense cake. |
