Some places require a permit others don't care. Depends on the state. They get like 2lbs but have so much energy and are pretty destructive if you don't keep them active.

Do you take care of them like dogs or how do you take care of them? They seem like that like the warmth, because they live in the desert.

From what I've been told they're fairy easy to take care of. Kinda like a cross between a cat and a dog. They do adapt and grow hair like a dog does during the winter. Like they can grow winter coats. I would still not want to leave one out in the snow though. O.o
