Today is not shaping up to be good. I forgot my meds too much and am paying for it now, and my cats knocked over my new cactus plant last night (FIGURES) and now I have a mess to clean up and I get to try to re-pot the cactus. =n=

I don't mind potting plants, but the little bulb thingy that acts as its root right now has spikes all over it and it's difficult to handle.

A couple of the buds came off from the fall too :C

That is the major downfall to cats. u_u They can be little bitches.

Yeah. I got my first cactus because it was the only plant I could have indoors that they wouldn't eat (I lost a really REALLY nice bamboo plant to them), but the pot it came in was top-heavy and tipped over easily. It fell about five times and lost a lot of spikes before I finally put it into a wide shallow container that wouldn't tip. Then yesterday I transplanted a cactus from my back garden because I didn't want the moles to uproot it, and go figure I pick a top-heavy pot and it gets knocked over even though I think it's on a shelf the cats can't get to or won't bother with =n=

So, I might just leave it out on the deck until it gets good roots.

My sister and I have found that most people who are allergic to cats are also allergic to her rabbit. Which is a shame, because that includes me, but I love my nephew-bunny too much to leave him alone!

Hahahhaa, I know right?!??!! It's totally impossible to leave him alone at all! And he's got SUCH a personality. Loves his papaya like nobody's business.

Haha, my mother-in-law told hubby today that she thought our cats had a lot of personality. I'm like "woman have you never had pets before?!"

Haha, nice. Yeah, non-cat people don't necessarily realize how varied cat personalities are.

Funnier is the event that led to this epiphany for her: there was a hummingbird outside of the window that saw boycat and decided to tease him. He then splat himself against the window in an attempt to get at it. According to hubby, it looked something like this:

Bwahahahaa. That's funny. But totally pretty normal cat behavior.

And oh my gosh, YES, Keyori. Scottish fold kittens are OBSCENELY ADORABLE! I cannot resist the foldy ears.
