Good morning lovelies!

Today I am going to "work" so I won't be around for much of the day. I'm gonna spend a few hours with kittens at the humane society. I'll bring a camera with me :D

Well I have discovered my new dream. And am already taking steps to making it a reality.

Oooh, what would that be?

Well I've been loosing weight, so I'm going to start training to run in a 5k sometime in the future. Eventually I would like to be able to run in a marathon, though after the 5k my next goal would be a half marathon.

Is... 5k... five thousand feet? Yards? /not athletic at all/
I've been trying to work out to lose some college weight, but I'm gaining muscle mass faster than losing fat, so, I'm gaining weight. xD

I've just been trying to get in shape in general. I had to cut down on my work outs though so I feel really lazy lately.

Awww, I miss you too! Those terror children gave me bronchitis. I've been dead for the past four days. I can finally talk again, but every time I do anything worthwhile, I get so exhausted that I can't do anything else. I'll probably still be on and off for a few more days, just because I keep wearing myself out.

IN OTHER NEWS I HAVE KITTY PHOTOS FROM VOLUNTEERING TODAY, INCLUDING KITTENS.

I am still going through them all though, so it'll be a bit before they're up.

Yeah, I can walk 3 miles. I do that on weekends when I walk to the village for lunch. The round-trip is about 3.5 miles I think. I wouldn't dream of running it though, not on this knee :talk2hand:

My boyfriend ran 9km recently... :gonk: He used to be a triathlete, and he's still a badminton player. I heard of this and started getting exhausted. xD;;
I just don't have the stamina! I can run real quick for short distances, then poof! All tired by like 1/3 of a mile! :gonk:

Beh, I'm just terrible at running in general xD

I took 53 pictures today, currently weeding out the bad ones and putting labels on the cats whose names I remember.

There were NINE kittens there, three litters of three kittens each. Bwah~<3

OMG, I just read the newsletter. There are 20 more kittens going up for adoption on Friday (when I'll be back in again anyway MWAHAHA) and 25 next week x_x

Turns out I am going again tomorrow as well to help re-collar cats for next month's event, where they wear colors based on personality instead of gender. Bawww yeah.

Anyway, to the PHOTOSSSSS~

I'm gonna start with Snowball, because he is probably the favorite at the cattery right now. He's been at the shelter for about two years, and is the largest cat there at 17.5 lbs. Early last winter, he got cancerous tumors in both of his ears, which required several treatments including removing the ears. He still has his hearing though.

As you can see, he kindof looks like a bear now! But he's still sweet and affectionate. I'd bring him home if I didn't already have two cats, he's such a sweetie! xD

Hehehe, Bear! But that must also make him vulnerable to getting ear infections and stuffu. :(
Also, HIS EYES ARE SO NEAT~

I KNOW! His descriptions in the cattery book say "the first thing you'll notice are his eyes..." but of course that is not true anymore. The photo in the book isn't updated either. But he has his own poster next to the cattery explaining his ears.

Side note: kittens are kept separate in cages by litter, instead of free-roaming in the cattery. Something about immune systems I think. Also, because of their different diet.

I don't remember this guy's name. He's really new, recently surrendered by his owner, so he's still pretty skittish and I didn't get very close to him today. I love the spots on his legs! It's like he has freckles!

Cute kitties. I need to put my phone pictures on my computer. My neighbor has two little Siamese kittens that need to be adopted and I have some cute pictures.

So it had started to slither away into the ice plant by the time I got my camera out xD

It's about the size of a garter snake. IT WAS SO CUTE o3o
