@ Tachi; It's alrighty. I find it quite amusing at times but whens its a mene holiday event, I get frustrated. Ha!
Ah, but I'm sorry to hear that. I think I've gotten over my abandonment issues a tad? I know its not a pleasant thing to go through. Pffffhahaahaha! I bet other people think your quite oddly cute doing that, though. It is hard to associate with other people you don't know. Sometimes I make them think I'm whack when I just go all out brutal honesty with whatever topic I'm on but then I jump to other topics just as fast and I leave them in the dust. xD Well, that's nice! And a positive outlook on having that occupation. I'm not built for doing lawn mowing. I hate doing it, period. My wrists always feel like they'd snap because our mower is gay. @ Iced; Well, it's the "ticket price" that doesn't really attract me. My brothers the only one who has been to the concerts and Warped Tour. My mom didn't have enough money to spend frivolously on two kids getting into it, so I just stuck with YOUTUBE. lol Oh, I bet. My cousin came back one year with tons of stickers, a signed autographed t-shirt, posters and band buttons. Starscape? That's an interesting name for Dubstep bands. xD I currently only like "Blue Stahli" for dubbing. I don't really like electronic and squeaky renders that much, it makes my ears want to bleed. |
Tachigami: I've seen dice implemented in some role-plays before, and GMs that act like various NPCs or surroundings, but never put together. It's like a match-made in heaven for me! XD
Wow, it does sound like a mix of soccer and rugby! o: Do the players have to wear special equipment like in rugby? |
Miro- Yeah I understand that ;-; Local certs are usually 10-15 dollars. Warped is about 50. 3 day festivals are anywhere from 250-500 xD
The first dub I listened to was Skrillex, then I went on to Flux Pavillion and Foreign Beggars. Everyone knows who Skrillex is though. It's the gateway dub Cx @Tachi- I know that feel bro..I know that feel. Stumbling on words and remaining silent as a result. It's a vicious cycle. Trying not to be awkward makes you awkward. Being your own awkward self is awkward. There's no winning, heh. |
Miro: I've never really participated in Mene's holiday events... I did so for the summer camp event just because there was a writing contest I found, and I couldn't pass it up! Horror stories are my specialty! As the link in my signature says (please ignore the Fluttershy).....
Mostly I've been abandoned by so-called friends. Luckily, I've got a deal on three mint-condition friends I'd like to consider family. One has a daughter to whom I'm a godfather, and the other I've nicknamed Coleslaw. I still worry sometimes, though. I'm so terribly embarrassed when that happens... It's weird and I just need to shut up halfway through. But I'm a bit like a... jackhammer. On and on until someone hits the off switch (which is a good smack in the head). Then I mutter to myself, also not good to do when you're in public. I hate lawnmowers. They're too loud for my liking. When you live in the woods, you get used to the more... hushed side of life, know? Serran: Well, if someone dies and doesn't want to regenerate as a different character, you're welcome to jump in! I'll let you know, eh? No, no special wear. That's also what makes it that much more dangerous. If it were a real game, it'd probably be illegal. Iced: Well... Luckily the thread has 'awkward' in the title! You can misspell and stumble and stutter and be a doofus all you like here and it'll just be 'the regulars of the thread acting up again'! ---------- Post added 06-27-2012 at 02:38 AM ---------- Maiden... I see you lurking down there! |
I'm still in that darn room... haven't had the nerve to approach the partially open door that is dark beyond...
|
Oh, don't you worry my dear little pawn... You'll have to leave sooner or later! Otherwise what shall happen to you? Don't you know that if you stay in a room too long in any horror story, the killer or creatures will eventually just off you right then and there? Note this!
|
@ Iced; u . u Yes.
I think it was actually 60-70$ when my brother bought his ticket? It was forever ago, though. Oh! YOU GOT TO SEE SONNY MOORE? He's changed so much... I kind of miss him being the vocals for "From First to Last"--I love the line "Dear diary, my teenage angst has a body-count" xD This was the only song I loved by him: From First To Last - "Ride The Wings Of Pestilence" - YouTube ; I still don't get why he went into electronica. Then again, a lot of idiots were all in on attacking people who seemed "emo" but I find them quite hilarious. They didn't understand that "emo" means emotional and by definition, all humans are emotional. And they got extremely emotional about kids who got into these bands. Lol Hypocrites ~ @ Tachi; You haven't? Well, I think the Celes Paradi and the Phoenix event should be coming up. Or at least, as long as there are mene staff available to host the events. I join in just to talk to my other friends because they're never around regularly anymore. Did you enjoy the Camp event, besides the writing opportunity? Friends... psh, I've given up on having any here. I do have two I relate to in some aspects but after high school, you really don't keep in touch at all. Quite ridiculous, though, since one of them lives only 30 minutes away from me. The other one lives in Ohio. Former friends just dispersed throughout the years in HS because they were druggies and only wanted to stay in those kind of cliques. But that's good you have a smaller social group, even if it's only three. lol How'd the other one get nicknamed Coleslaw? Well! If you learn to embrace it, it'll make people come in flocks. Hahahaha, that'll be amusing if you go bugged eyed if it works. I don't think you're the only one who does that. I've met a lot of people who talk and talk and never get a legible sentence out of their mouths. They're loud. I hate it when the neighbors mow at the crack of sunrise, I wanna beat'em with a soggy piece of cheese. XD Woods? I can't relate... I don't like spiders, mosquitoes, wasps, black jackets, etc. If I think too much on a spider appearing in my room or crawling on me, my nerves get shot and I can't fall asleep... |
Miro: I'll have to check it out. Luckily I'm sticking around longer this time, rather than just vanishing for several years after making the profile. I learned everything back, though! Lucky, lucky. I tend to keep things in RPs, or this thread. Sometimes I venture out and randomly post in various other forums, but quickly lose track of which ones I have and haven't...
The camp was pretty good. I read around a bit, but only posted in the writing contest. I might branch out a bit and put a sibling thread to Tangled Webs in the next event forum. Miraculously, I've managed to keep a friend from high school. We parted ways after graduation, then after a few very... bad years in a slimehole town, filled with society's rejects, druggies, drunks, and sometimes, wannabe killers, I came here and found her living in the town I live right beside. Such luck would deem it necessary to never part ways again! Though I've only got these three friends, I'd never trade them for anything. Eh... Coleslaw's actual name is Cole Saul. Unfortunate, terrible name. So we call him Coleslaw. I find it hilarious. Never. I don't need people around me! It just flusters me like... I don't know. Something that's easily flustered. We ought to find some people like that and put them all in a room together. It could be an experiment! I hated that too, when they'd break out the monster grass-eater at either early morning or late evening. So glad I'm away! Just note: The more afraid of spiders you are, the more likely they'll end up around you. I feel indifferent to all types of bugs, except roaches. They're the spawn of the Devil and must be destroyed! ---------- Post added 06-27-2012 at 02:58 AM ---------- The time! Look at it! I have to go! ((Sadly, I almost said 'I have go to.'. I can't even talk right through forums!)) Good night, all! |
@Miro- I like FFTL's Heroine cd.
As far as emo music goes. How it went from sad smooth indie alternative, to post-hardcore screaming guitar sweeping craziness I'll never understand xD I love 'core' music, but I LOOOOVE old-school indie emo bands even more. Rites of Spring and Sunny Day Real Estate is what I grew up with in the 90's. @Tachi- Night!! |
Tachigami - Whoa really?? Thanks! :D For now, I'll be happy to watch everyone panic around the morgue. |D
Meanwhile, I've been watching a video about this woman saying you're making PB&J wrong.. Yes, she's serious. Should I post up a link here? =w=; Aww bye Tachigami ;w; Gnite! |
@ Iced; I'm not sure if I remember whats on that cd.
I never knew it really went anywhere... I just noticed that more bands just went from semi-screaming and squee-squeeing like piglets to incoherent nothingness but loud sounds. XD I've never heard of that band... I was obssesed with Savage Garden in the 90's and Tom Petty. My father and step father was obsessed with Metallica and Axel Rose. > . O White Lion "Wait" <- Guys were pretty with long hair back then. XD Especially Bon Jovi ~ @ Tachi; Oh, yeah. I've quit once upon a time on here. It's nice that we have new features to keep in touch with threads we've created and all that sha-bang. Well, the avatar forum is a good place to branch out. That's where most of mene's traffic is ~ I'm glad you did enjoy it, though. I was only there to talk in one thread, I think? aww! That's what you call a "chance" meeting and a happy ending. It's good that you got to reconnect with her. Oh, I shee. LOL That is a terrible name. I'd wanna call'em Coleslaw as well! Hahahahahaa, poor guy! Like a bird. You're like a bird! Easily flustered and your feathers get ruffled and agitated easily. And yes! That's be an interesting turn out. ...Don't tell me that! Somean ~ Hahaha. Agreed! Cockroaches are horrible horrible little buggers! Except that one in the movie Wall-E, though. He's pretty cute. Okedokey! Goodnight, Tachi! |
Miro! Maximus! I love Maximus :)
|
@Miro- Yeahh, all of those screaming core bands they play nowadays aren't really emo. Most people think it is though. Emo is more melodic, soft, with an angsty punk-like feel. Cap'n Jazz/Mineral/The Get-up Kids/Tigers Jaw/ Weezer (old stuff) are things to listen to in terms of the genre.
Also, yayy for 80's hair-metal!! xD |
@ Maiden; Maidenrz! Yes, Maximus is my fav. in that movie. <3
He's sososo funny! @ Iced; Yeah. But you just wait, they'll disappear completely like the good bands from the 80's and 90's. @ . @; LOL I find it kind of "eh" that guys back then wore NO UNDERWEAR underneath their blue jeans and leather pants. If they wore pants with rip holes on the back pants pocket, their bare buttox's were viewable. I only know this because my mom lived through all of that... with gorgeous guys, omg. REAL MEN who wear pink were from that time. Not now, absolutely not now. XD |
Not just funny but smart too ^_^
|
Yeahh, all the good bands will fade away and people will continue to worship bubble-gum pop, rappers with no originality, and cookie-cutter rock bands ;-; I weep for the new generation. I sincerely weep.
&& yeah my mom used to go to certs to see GunsN'Roses, Motley Crue, Slash, etc. when I was really little. The music was great, the style was never my taste though o-o; |
bubble-gum pop? XD You're so funny!
Oh... I don't care for "rapping" it gets on my nerves. They should do away with things about drugs, and discrimination towards women by calling them "hoes" and so-forth. The crap they spout of of their mouths makes me want to shove a WHOLE gallon of laundry detergent down their throats. I don't find them sexy nor appealing if they are fifthly rich from their consumer base. Yeah. But there are some nice songs here and there throughout those bands. But I never cared for Motley Crue... Tommy Lee is a complete skanky joke. @ Maiden; Agreed! I wish could own a horse like him. But anywho ~ I'm going to go ahead and get off of here finally. xD;; I'll see you lovely people later-later, if possible? Bye-bye! |
Have a good one Miro
|
