Agni put his arms around her waist as he deeppened the kiss. After a moment he broke the kiss panting a bit. His arms were still around his waist.

Alex leaned against Agni panting lightly as she too tried to catch her breath. She tried to think of something to say for a few moments then gave up and stayed quiet just enjoying being close to him instead.

"I think I'm falling for you." He mumbled stroking her hair. It felt good to say it out loud. Though how they would deal with this in days to come he can't say.

"I... I don't know what I feel right now." She said softly, but made no move to pull away from him. She was confused, she knew she liked him as a friend, but did she did she like him as more then that... she thought she did, but it all just seemed so fast and so strange.

"That is truly understandable." He said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Maybe he was reading to much into all of this.

"I think..." Alex started slowly "I just need some time to figure things out." She said blushing slightly "I've never had anyone fall for me before and I don't know what I should do or feel." She explained not wanting him to think it was anything he had done.

"and I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm a dragon." He said with a small smile. He laid his head on the tree and looked up at the sky. He was lost in thought.

"That doesn't bother me." Alex said softly. It had been one of the many things on her mind as she had waited for Agni to wake up earlier "I don't care that you are a dragon and I don't care what others will think of that." She said firmly

"It does make it a whole lot more complicated though." He said smiling a bit. "For I wouldn't ask you to live in my cave with me, and I would not be accepted by the majority of humans." He looked down at her. She was the exception. She made him feel alive and whole in away nothing else had.

"Your cave and a city are not the only options we have should we choose to peruse this." Alex smiled at him "I will admit it will not always be easy... but is anything worthwhile ever easy to obtain?"

Agni smiled. Alex was the most amazing person he had ever met. "You are truly wise." He said kissing her cheek.

Alex blushed at both the complement and the kiss. "Thank you." She smiled "But I'm not all that wise I just remember the things my father use to say to me when I complained training was too hard." She laughed a little.

Agni smiled. "Then your father was wise, and you did well to learn from him." He said running his fingers through her hair. "I wish there were more people like you in the world."

Alex smiled as rested her head against him and closed her eyes. She was getting tired it had been a very long day and it was beginning to catch up to her. "I am nothing all that special." She protested, "I just do what I feel is right."

"That makes you very unique." He said with a smile. He let out a soft yawn. He rested his head on top of hers. This felt right to him.

"I'm sure you are exaggerating." Alex said with a faint laugh "But I appreciate the complement anyway."

"It's very true." He said. "Most people would have not ever given me the chance." He kissed the top of her head.

"Then most people would have missed out on something good." Alex said then tried to stifle a yawn and failed as it escaped anyway.

"Sleep my friend." He said rubbing her back. He yawned as well. "Shall we lay down?" He asked still holding her.
