The Future is Now

I've never worked with a Mac before; I'm a PC girl. But my new job uses Apple products so I'm having to get used to the system. The monitor's also the actual computer instead of the two being separate like I'm used to.
It got me to thinking about how technology has changed over the years. When I was little, having a computer was a big thing. And then came along laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
We've seen all the syfy movies with touch screens, floating cars, and 3D images that you can hold. But these ideas have been around for a long time, will they ever come about in the public way that has been imagined?
Menewshians, what say you?

I think about how ridiculous old Scifi movies/shows are and think it's funny when an old movie/show mentions a year in the 2000's as having technology that we do not have now. It's still fun to think about all the cool gadgets that do not exist and probably never will though.

Touch screens are pretty normal nowadays. I've seen 3D projections here and there.

Ironically, Macs are for those who aren't tech-savvy. XD

I smile right along with you Mystic, but it's kinda cool how spot on movies like Starwars were as far as CDs and displays. Pa-chinko I hear that Macs are for people who are more visually oriented or work with lots of graphics, whereas PCs are more for word processing and number crunching.

What do you guys think of the stuff on the newest Marvel movies like Iron Man and Avengers? I'm mainly referring to Tony Stark's stuff of course, but everyone else had pretty cool stuff too.
