Anna nodded. "Alright. Well I'll call the place tomorrow to make an appointment." She stretched briefly before slouching in her chair again. "And in the meantime you can see if you can't bully that damn thing into cooperating."

Iris nodded.

"It's upstairs," she said. She hesitated in getting up, though. "So... are you okay with this? And don't just say yes to make me feel better."

"Yes, I'm fine with it. Really." Anna smiled at her. "As long as your kid isn't an exact copy of the creepy Arab." Then she grinned, clearly teasing.

"I'm sure it won't be," Iris replied, rolling her eyes a bit. Getting up from the table, she put covers on the Italian food and put it away. "Save this for later," she said, "maybe when my stomach isn't threatening to show me lunch again."

"Yeah, don't worry about it. Leftovers are just as good." Anna shrugged and pulled over a pad of paper, starting to sketch the insignia. "Good enough?"

Iris went over and took a look at the sketch before nodding.

"We can have the artist refine it a bit," she said, "but it's good."

Anna nodded. "Good." She stretched again before settling down.

"Well, do you want to go to bed for the night or go watch a movie?"

"As much as I'd love to stay up and watch a movie," Iris replied, "I think I should head to bed. I've been so tired lately, I could use the extra sleep."

Anna nodded and waved her off. "Alright, go pass out. You look about ready to anyway." She grinned briefly and shooed her off to bed.

Iris nodded and headed upstairs to bed. It took her a while to fall asleep, though; her head was too full of thoughts about Altair and what she would do about the baby. Eventually, though, she did fall asleep.

A week later the girls got their movie night, staying up late watching movies. Iris ended up drifting off first, although Anna fell asleep only minutes after.

And then, upstairs, the Apple started glowing.

Altair swore silently as he was dumped somewhere else, managing to land on his feet this time and looking around swiftly. Yet another place he didn't recognize. Great. At least he wasn't alone in being totally out of sorts; he could see Ezio here too.

Ezio landed on the floor and swore colorfully to himself as he stood up. He knew better than to swear out loud in an unfamiliar place, of course, but that didn't stop him from shouting at the top of his mental lungs. He looked around warily, not recognizing anything except Altair.

Iris jumped when she heard the noise and jerked awake. She sat up on the couch, already reaching for the knife she and Anna kept by the furniture out of paranoid habit. Her eyes widened when she saw the men.

Anna was on her feet before Iris, a dagger in her hand since she was too paranoid to not keep one with her at all times. Then she paused, blinked, and grinned slowly before tackling Ezio.

Altair snorted at the "children" and moved over to Iris, much more controlled.

The fact that he was mentally jumping up and down like a kid didn't count for anything.

Ezio barely had time to brace himself before he had to catch Anna as she threw herself at him.

"Anna, la mia dolce," he murmured to her, "I missed you so."

Iris got up and went over to Altair. After a moment, she hugged him tightly and buried her face in his chest.

"You have no idea how much I missed you," she mumbled as she started to cry.

Anna smiled brilliantly at the pet name and held on tighter. "Missed you too," she mumbled.

Altair was briefly surprised when she started to cry, but he hugged her tightly anyway, starting to rub her back soothingly.

"I missed you as well," he admitted quietly. "But we are here now."

Ezio just held Anna, grateful to have her in his arms again.

"You've been well, since you left?" he asked softly.

Iris clung to Altair, cuddling closer to him as she tried to stop crying.

"I don't mean to be like this," she said softly to him. "I'm so glad you're here, though."

"Yeah." Anna smiled, deciding to leave it at that. "Climbing buildings here is a pain in the ass, though." She rested her head against his shoulder, content to stay there for a little while.

Altair just kept rubbing her back quietly, not willing to let go of her any time soon. He liked having her there, damn it, and he wasn't about to let her go.

"Then we will need to adapt your technique," Ezio teased softly. "We will have to see about that."

Iris just stayed there with Altair, relaxing little by little into his arms. She was internally debating when to tell him about the baby; she knew that sooner was better, but she was enjoying being with him and didn't want to ruin it just yet.

Anna snorted and glanced over at Altair and Iris. "Come on," she said quietly, pulling back a little but grabbing his hand to lead him up to her room.

"Welcome to the twenty-first century, by the way."

Altair stayed there as well, content with the silence for now. After a few minutes, though, he leaned down and kissed her gently, reassuring himself that she was whole and well.

Ezio blinked.

"So we are in your era now?" he asked as he let her lead him upstairs.

Iris returned the kiss, although it was tinged with a little bit of desperation. She'd missed him a lot, and she was grateful to have him back. After a few moments, though, she broke the kiss.

"There's something I need to tell you," she said softly, looking up at him. "And it kind of can't wait." She bit her lip a little and took a small breath to steady herself, and made herself say it. "I'm pregnant."

Anna nodded. "Yup. Home sweet home." She turned on half the lights in her room, since she'd put in blue lights in the ceiling years ago for when she didn't need the full lights on. "My room. I share the house with Iris."

Altair blinked at that, taken aback. He hadn't even really thought about children at that point. He found that he rather liked the idea of her having his children though.

Looking down at her, he tilted her chin up. "Are you pleased?" he asked quietly, though a smile was twitching at the corners of his lips.

Ezio looked around. It was certainly different from 1489; he could definitely see how the girls had been a little culture-shocked.

"I was going to ask you the same thing," Iris replied softly. She was set a little more at ease when she said the faint smile, though. That was a good sign.

Anna yawned briefly and slid the little dagger holster from her hip, setting it on her bedside table next to her hidden blade and a few other things. "You can go ahead and get comfortable. The house is safe."

Altair nodded slowly. "I had not thought about children much before," he said quietly. "But the thought is pleasing." He kissed her gently again.

Ezio nodded and started to take off his own weapons. He trusted her when she said the house was safe; otherwise she would not have disarmed herself. Once he didn't have anything else sharp on his person, he took off his boots and a few layers of clothes.

Iris returned the soft kiss.

"I'm glad you're pleased," she said softly. "I was afraid you might not be."

Anna was already in a tanktop and sweatpants, so she just stretched out a bit before going over to sit on her bed. "Okay so far?"

Altair smiled a little. "If you are pleased, then I am pleased." He pulled her close again.
