Well, just for a reference(and if you did not already know), fresh things like potatoes, onion, carrot and other root vegetables last quite a while and are usually cheap and very versatile. Apples are also hardy, they can can be left untouched for weeks and retain their texture and flavor.

Well we do have potatoes, lol. And onions now that I think about it. I wanted to make a casserole with those, and had already found a recipe for that.

Just with that, I can think of at least five different breads and rolls you could make, but I just really like bread. XD Hm... Soups are easy and reheat well, so I'd definitely recommend looking into some recipes for those. Also, a good thing about soup is you really don't need a recipe, you just have to know the process. The ingredients are quite interchangeable for a typical one-pot soup. You're also on the right track with casseroles, they are easy to change and reheat well. Let's see... you can also saute both fresh and frozen vegetables to pair with a meat or starch.

Well .. I was planning on making some english muffins. They turned out well the last time I'd made them. ^^ As for soups and such, I'm afraid I don't know the process. The only soupish thing I've ever made is corn chowder, and I can't remember how to make it. ><

Mm, sourdough English muffins? And again, soup is easy to learn. ^^ I'd ramble on and explain it all, but instead, I'm just going to give you this link- not exactly as I do it, but it's a good outline. Click! Oh, one thing about this though- you don't have to let it simmer for an hour or more, though it does improve the flavors. You just have to simmer it all until your hardest veggie is tender and the flavors are incorporated.
I'm probably going to have to ask for help getting the ECs and EIs. >< I've barely bought anything and I've been talking here every day, but I still seem to be getting barely any tokens and I'm not sure why. |
