They almost look like icicles pointed up. cool. Is there a more jagged one perhaps? (though it does look good)

I actually really like this...it really looks like molten lava flowing down the volcano!

I do feel like the background looks a bit incomplete or empty but I'm at a lose for what to suggest.

Did you try the fire hair instead of the dragon hair? I'm not sure if it would improve it but it might just be interested to see what it does to the avvie.

Maybe try adding the flames of hell from the evil overlord CI (I think it's from that). It might make it too cluttered...if that's the case nevermind XD

That haze may actually be a really good touch. perhaps some kind of smoke clouds.
And if there is such an item... dead ground/dead leaves or grass..
charred ground with no growth.

i think it looks awesome. The only thing really bugging me is the lightning. But the dark clouds look so great with it (and i'm assuming the lightning is attached to the dark clouds)

Hmmmm. .. there's the chilled beauty hairpin and the glacial circlet. but i'm not sure if that color is off or not.
