Pros to writing with this player: Kry is really creative. He's also descriptive, original and fun. He also says it like it is, if he does or doesn't like something. He always gives you something to work with and he never misses anything in others posts.

There had been a brief flash of sorrow in his dark eyes at the simple one worded response the human gave him. He didn't want to tell her how he lost one of his wings, or his voice, but he still would have liked to have a conversation or two. At the very least an exchanging of names. He blinked lightly as she excused herself, watching her as she began to walk away from the bar. Aris didn't think it was safe, yet. The sounds at the door had stopped, but it was to early to tell what that meant.

However, if the girl wanted to venture outside and try her luck, it really had nothing to do with him at all. He had just turned back from watching the human when the sound of shattering glass reached his ears, loud and startling, such a sudden noise. His good wing extended and flapped rather wildly for a moment as Aris jumped up and back off of his stool. If he'd had both wings, they would have instinctively carried him up into the rafters. Up there he would have been safe from the dogs, but he was still on the floor, that wing folding against his back and he was drawing his sword.

One dog was on the human and several others were closing in around her, then glass shattered elsewhere in the building and Aris shuddered. That came unsheathed with a soft hiss, the blade glinted slightly, silver with a sharp edge, though it had clearly been used a lot. Aris could save himself, but his heart beat against such selfish notions. It would be easier to attack from the air, he was more used to that kind of combat. An attack from the rafters, that wing twitched slightly.

Aris grimaced lightly, bringing his blade up, and then down, cutting through the first dog that decided to notice him. Another grimace, he would have to fight on the ground, where he was slightly at a disadvantage, but then, these were just dogs. Mongrels. Mutts. He cut his way two the human. The blade glinted, and hissed as he sliced it this way and that. Occasionally he used his guantleted left arm as a shield of sorts.

He fought his way into the circle of dogs surrounding the human, they were inching closer. There were so many of them, Aris quickly made short work of the pitbull that was trying so hard to rip into the human. He pulled her to her feet with his left hand, trying to be careful so that the steel glove didn't squeeze her arm to tightly when he pulled her up. A dog leaped at them, and his sword moved. Dancing in the air almost, slicing into the beast's throat. A small pack he could fight off on his own, but this was no small pack.

Lips parted, moved then stopped. He would have told her to stay close if he were able. So he kept that hand closed gently around her wrist, to keep her near him. Two mongrels lunged at them this time. Aris body and sword moved so quickly, the blade struck a killing blow on the first animal, then he twisted around, moving the human with him, so that his sword could dispatch the second. His dark eyes were intense, narrowed in concentration.

The woman was firing her weapon at the dogs, and it seemed a powerful weapon. A bit odd, but what did that matter? Aris nodded towards the gun wielding female, and began to cut a path towards her. They might be safer, closer together. Maybe. Aris wasn't sure, but he pulled the human along with him, trying to keep her close and protected from the feral dogs.

Pros to writing with this player: Amani is really descriptive and her characters are really original. She's fun and doesn't miss anything from other posters. She always gives others something to work with and plays both male and female characters.
Cons to writing with this player: Sometimes she gets really busy with her job and family, and she's pregnant! :D So she can poof on the play for a couple of days, but she always comes back. They alllwaayys come back. [yes]

Jaylee had nodded, accepting that the killings had indeed been justified. Slavers. Found in all sorts of cultures and of multiple flavors. They were the ones that deserved death. Sipping at the amber liquid slowly, letting the burn warm her to the core, she appreciated the flavor. It almost reminded her of a good scotch. Maybe it was. Not that she cared really, right now it was something to do to occupy her.

Looking over as the sound of glass broke registered to her distracted mind, she cursed loudly. She really didn't want to leave behind her baby, but it was letting the others, especially the human, get hurt, or keep a replaceable object safe. Decision made, the shifter forewent changing, instead taking up her twin blades in each hand. She probably would have been better off shifting, but there really wasn't enough room. As a shifter, she was a brawler, or at times a berserker, by nature, but staying in human shape let her think more clearly, taking less risks and less damage most times. Slicing another animal, she stumbled a bit as something collided into her back, knocking her forward. Turning it into a roll, she came back up on her knees, one blade already buried deep in the canine's chest.

Hearing the human talk about getting to the second level, she did have to agree that it was a logical choice. Albeit the redhead could still see some danger in it. This was an abnormally large pack, she could hear and smell the numbers. Even if they made it to second level and got outside, how could they get away from the animals? They'd still be trapped. Well maybe. The winged one could probably still fly off, but what about the human? Shaking her head, she gasped in pain as she felt one of the mutts land a bite on her thigh. Oh that was going to hurt for a while. Stabbing into its head, she was satisfied to hear the skull crunch under the power of her thrust, tossing the newly dead creature into another leaping one. Panting harshly as she stood with her back to the bar, she felt the corner of her lip twitch as she saw the damage the gunslinger was doing, but then her lips were pulled back as her vocal cords shifted, allowing her to produce a very menacing canine growl that some of the attacking dogs listened to. Others, of the more alpha variety, as well as strongly independent, paused in their assault but were growling back and puffing themselves up as much as they could to appear more of a threat.

"Human, if you think this'll work, go upstairs and get it done. I'll try to hold them as much as I can." She ordered, her voice still having the growling tinge to as she stared down the other canines. Her entire posture and even the growling screamed to all that she was Alpha, she was in control, and she was to be obeyed! Jaylee hoped she could give them enough time to get upstairs and set up however it was needed, then she'd follow them after a few minutes, cutting down some more of the animals that decided to charge her.

Dahlia let out a sigh when she felt the other leave, a few minutes of annoying poking and him moving her legs around. The winged man wandered off and she didn't even bother checking to see where. Hell a lot of them seemed to be wandering off into their own worlds. Not that she really minded. Meant she could finally get some sleep. A nap would do her legs good. She was about to drift off, finally start her legs on the proper path to mending, when a noise cut through the relative silence this place offered. Her eyes snapped open, a low growl rising in her throat.

"Who, in their right mind, would be playing music at this hour?!" she hissed, sitting up and shakily getting to her feet, glaring around them. Annoyance was clear in her demeanor and voice. She began to move, finally popping out back into the alley, eye twitching as she attempted to pinpoint in what direction to absurdly loud music was coming from. She was going to find it. She was going to go shut it up.

Levi had made his way back into his sleeping area, having removed the old jerky from his pile of things in the corner. It didn't take him long for him to finish it, eyeing his hands almost mournfully. He was going to have to find more food. And soon if his still gargling stomach was anything to go by. He placed his hands over his too skinny abdomen almost comfortingly, hoping to somehow soothe it. Maybe those monsters had food on them. It was a possibility....he shook his head rapidly, scrunching his shoulders up. No. No he wouldn't. He wouldn't even go near those monsters if he could help it.

His thoughts were interrupted by a faint smell, a smell he hadn't smelt in full in months; burning wood. Underneath it was another smell, something sicker and stomach churning. And it made his mouth water. Burning meat. He crawled out of his compartment and stood, quietly making his way back into the hallway, sniffing as quietly as he could in hopes of at least pinpointing the direction the tantalizing smell was coming from. He did not bother to bring any junk with him as defense, the only useful thing dropped and forgotten in the supply closet from earlier. And there was no way he was heading back down....there was noise, loud and long and sad and it caused him to tense up. He didn't know what it was and he whimpered slightly, glancing about fretfully. He relaxed as he glanced at his closest friend, hearing a soft humming sound coming from it. It was alright. He was ok. He just needed to go find whatever that smell was. So he moved, being as quiet as he could as he made his way cautiously down the hallway, intent on slipping into one of shops he knew was unlocked.

Her ears hurt. Her eyes hurt. Every sense seemed to be screaming out to her in pain.

Ash. Dead hunt. Hurt.

The wild dogs were dead all around the 'wolf and the beast itself was blown backwards, roughly tumbling over the pavement. Loose pebbles and broken glass passed through the thick fur and embedded themselves into skin. Each breath brought agony. The beast laid on it's side, chest heaving, an obvious confusion to it.

Explosion. We need to leav- fire. Fire.

The rabid pack was burning - some of them still alive. The building where they were fighting was burst open and partially aflame. Smoke cut through the fog like a knife, black and heavy with a cloying scent.

Muscles locked up in fear. The thrill of the hunt was gone, replaced by a primal terror.

Some of the dogs were struggling to their feet, stumbling as they backed away from the flames. A couple nosed at their dead packmates. A few were heading in the 'wolfs direction.

The beast sluggishly pulled it's feet under it, laying flat on the ground. The broken glass and pieces of stone shifted uncomfortably in their spots in flesh, but the pain was pushed to the back of the creature's mind. The dogs would be angry at a hunt destroyed, they would be mourning the loss of their pack. They would be filled with fear of the fire, as the 'wolf was.

It was not safe to stay so close.

Yes, that's right, we have to leave.

A pause. Fire continued to leap from the building to the bodies and back again, as if it were playing a game.

We need to move.Now.

Gingerly and slowly it moved, placing one paw after the other. The pace was too slow for the 'wolf's liking but it could go no further with the dogs in such close proximity. Angry and Scared and Sad in great numbers was a lot harder to hunt than when they were only angry in great numbers.

The beast was nothing but a shadow to the dogs as it crept along.

When he left, he left with his bag. It was full of blank paper and a notebook, a few pencils and a pen. Nothing to work on anything serious, but something to pass the time, maybe catch a little of the scenery without looking as if he weren't interested in what might be happening at that point or another. When he reached the city-oriented cafe, Johnny was waiting for him at a window booth, and Char slid in at his heavy gaze. "So what's going on?" He asked, entwining his fingers on the tabletop.

"I just need to know some stuff, Char." Johnny had a lot of folders for just 'some stuff'. He piled it all on the table among several coffee cups, indicating he'd been here for a while and his somewhat OCD nature forcing him to request a new cup each refill. Char sighed, but went along with it. He was half aware of what was going on, but gave well-thought answers to where he should schedule another meeting, a book signing, a promotion for the current book and the next one. He himself drank two cups of coffee when the waitress came around, though she gave a disapproving glance to the number on the other side of the table. He had to become aware of when, exactly, he planned on giving the current chapters to his editor, and since he wasn't finished with the current one, decided on next week. Surely he'd be done by then...

"We good, now?" Char asked, sighing in exasperation as Johnny closed yet another folder and scribbled in red across the front.

"Well, I wanted to ask about how this one's coming alo---"

He was cut off by a ringing, and Char jammed his hand into his pocket. "Ooh, would you look at that? Gotta go!" He stood. "Thanks so much, Johnny-boy, we got everything we need so far! Talk to me in a week, I'll have the next chapter finished!" He slammed down some money for the coffee, which was probably too much, and hurried out of the cafe before answering his jittering, buzzing phone. "Thank God you got me out of there." He sighed. "I was about to wring some necks..." Shin was a great distraction---the make of a good friend, Char thought.

Davir walked up to the group "Hey, idiots, get away from my sisters" Davir took note of his sisters along with another girl as the group ganged up more on them. He ran jumping in the air over the group and blocking the way between the girls. "Zia, Kia, keep her safe" Davir didn't need his sisters powers activating tonight and defiantly not right now in front of a lot of people. The boys laughed "We just want their candy" and they really did, but, torturing girls seemed to be something else for them to be satisfied with.

"Riiight, like I am going believe that" Davir rolled his eyes as one of them attacked from behind him grabbing his arms to pin him down 'Crap' he focused too much on those in front of him and not those behind him. At least the girls were safe behind a big tombstone, but, one of the other boys caught eye of them. "You are so mine" the boy said to three girls as Kia screamed, she was the nicer one of the sisters "Damnit" his eyes changed from blue to silver creating the boys to back off away from him. Another boy had teamed up with the one by the girls to create less of a reason for them to run off.

Davir could feel the earth shifting under his feet as the trees moved knocking the boys out of the way. The other one let go of him and they took off screaming, running away. There was only two left now and he surely didn't have the energy to take the other two out with. His eyes stopped glowing, but, he was still connected to the cemetery around him.

The old bookstore feel of the outside continued on within. There were shelves of more than just books however, jars and bottles that held things most people would think a joke. There were gems and jewlery, talasmans and more. Mosquito led the way through the winding shelves of the ground floor. Damian glancing back at the door, slightly catching a glimpse of the cat man from there. Black often spent her time in the back room, or in her more private quarters on the floor above them. He would learn little from listening to a glass door. He would have to dare the trip inside, then, he would be a fly caught in the spider's web. They brushed aside the black curtains from the back, the strong smell of insence filling his senses, his body calmed. He knew this was on purpose, it was sleeper root from his world. When drank or eaten, it could put one to sleep, to high a dose and it would be a permanent sleep. Though when burned or taken in indirectly, it had a sort of dream effect on the body, calming it and making one a bit hazy or drowzy, as if the world were really far away right around them. He had had a few run ins with it, as with most poisons and such. Luckily his body was strong against such things. He glanced towards a black chair behind a dark desk, where the beautiful vision of Lady Black Widdow sat looking back at him. The very webs of her precious spiders seemed to be reflected in her eyes. Like most spider webs, they were invisible to those who did not know what to look for, the oblivious and unwise. She fit in well with humans, because most failed to notice this, those who saw a glimour of it, thought it was a trick of the light. She smiled at him from behind the desk, "welcome."
