Elizaveta Héderváry Elizaveta looked down at her school's new uniform with a frown. A blue pleated skirt with a black blazer over a white button-down with a blue tie. She wasn't really looking forward to the uniforms, it felt like they were putting a chain on an already caged bird. She clipped her flower pin behind her right ear, not caring that it was against dress-code, and walked to her new school, ready for the torment to begin. She would only know one person, and that was only because Gilbert had transferred here only a few months ago. She didn't even know if the school had a choir. ((Sorry, took me ages to figure out a good pic)) |

Name: Roderich Edelstien Roderick frowned as he was dressed for the first day back to his hell hole of a school. The uniforms were ugly, and he didn't really have as many friends as was considered 'normal' to his mother. He was a loner, and honesty couldn't help that. He knew today was the beginning of a horrible year at the most horrible place in the earth..school. He got in the car as was driven there, going in and finding his first class. He sat down and laid his hands on the desk, waiting for the torture to start. |
Elizaveta walked into her first block, hoping to go unnoticed when the teacher came in, but she knew that was going to be useless. She'd be busted for her dress-code violation and made a fool of. She walked quietly past a boy with glasses already sitting and sat as far back as she could.
Roderich looked at the girl curiously as she walked in. She didn't seem to care that she was breaking the dress code, and that irked him just slightly. He was really one for strict rules and such. He ignore her, determining that she wasn't the kind of person he wanted to hang around.
The boy in the front had clearly noticed the violation and she sighed, putting her head on the desk and putting a hand over the flower. If a student cared so much, surely the teacher would. She unclipped it, cringing at the surprisingly loud noise, and slipped it in her messenger bag. Better to not get a mark on the first day, right?
He heard the noise, but paid it no heed as the teacher walked slowly into the classroom. She eyed the class, searching across it until she came to a student in the back. "Oh, hello miss Elizaveta. You're new to this school aren't you?" She asked. Most of the children here had been living here for years and the teachers and students all already knew each other. "Do please come sit in the front. I'd like to be sure you are on the same page. We teach a bit faster than some regions." She pointed to the seat beside the boy with glasses and Roderich held back a sigh. The kids around the class giggled. "Dude. Poor sexy chick. She has to sit beside piano dork." A boy in the back whispered. Roderich heard it and snarled a bit, sinking down in his desk in humiliation.
Elizaveta sighed and moved herself up beside the boy they had called 'Piano Dork'. She really was more offended that they were picking on him that the fact they called her a sexy girl, which seemed demeaning to her. When she set her notebook on the desk, a piece of sheet music for a song she had been working on slipped out, and landed underneath the boy's desk.
Roderich saw the sheet and picked it up, looking over it. "Dude..? Did that come out of her binder? Dude! I'll bet she's a dork to. Hey Roderich. Who's paper?" The guys asked, snickering. Wanting to save this new girls reputation, he put it nearly in his own notebook. "Mine you mindless brats." He said, a snobby air about him as he pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose. He went back to listening to their lesson, glad when it was over. After most of the kids rushed from the room, he lingered behind, setting the sheet music on Elizaveta's desk. "I do believe this is yours?" he questioned. "I wouldn't let other kids know you have this unless you want to be an ultimate loser." He said grimly, turning on his heel and rushing out to his next class.
Elizaveta simply watched as the boy rushed off. A loser? For liking music? She sighed and slipped it into the front of her binder and walked out to see Gilbert waiting for her. "Hey, Gil..." She walked over to him. "Did, you see the boy that rushed out of here? Had glasses on?" She asked as they made their way to her next class.
Gilbert nodded. "Yeah. That's Roderich. He lives beside me. I don't really like him though. The kids a fuckin musically prodigy, and h thinks he's better than everyone. He told me to stay away from him 'cause he's a loner or something like that. He's suck a nerd. All I wanted was to play my violin with him, but apperatly I'm not good enough for him, because he wants nothing to do with me."
She frowned. "that's not really nice... He gave me my music back though..." she looked around, kind of hoping to see him. "maybe he was treated bad or something..."
Gilbert sighed. "Did anyone even tell you you're to nice?" He rubbed her back. "Oh well. We'd better go to class."
"Is there something wrong with being nice?" She asked as they walked into their second block. "I mean, I could be mean and beat you with a frying pan again like I did when we were younger~"
Gilbert just laughed and shook his head. "I guess you're right." He kissed her cheek. "Just be careful. I wouldn't want him to hurt you."
She laughed softly. "Do you forget I was manlier than half the guys at our old school?" She smiled and took a seat at a desk with an empty one beside it.
Gilbert sat in one of the desks near hers, the one on her left side still empty. "I didn't mean like that. You still have sensitive feelings. You're a chick now, so you have the feelings of one." He frowned as Austria walked in. Roderich frowned and sat beside Elizaveta. "Hello again." He said softly.
"Ja, ja, don't remind me.." She said, pouting adorably before she noticed the boy. "Hello..." She said. "thanks for returning my music... I would've died if I lost it.."
He blushed and looked at his hands. "you're welcome...it was only right. But you really shouldn't talk to me." He said quietly.
She frowned slightly. "Well, I think I should talk to you. There's nothing that would make me not talk to you."
He sighed. He was sick of turning down friends, but he couldn't let them be made fun of like he was. "Let me put it another way. I don't need friends. They're a waste of my time and I enjoy being alone. Don't talk to me." He opened a book and started to read. "Told you he was a dick." Gilbert whispered.
She frowned, but was still determined to at least talk to him. "So, you play piano, right?" She asked, not caring if he was reading about how to cure cancer. "Do you know any Chopin?"
He groaned. "My god girl! You are so persistent!" He tried to ignore her, he really did, but it was impossible. "Look! No one likes me, and if you two talk to me, no one will like you either..." Hebwent back to the book. "I'm a geek..." He muttered.
"Well, I don't care if no one likes me for talking to someone who's nice." She crossed her arms. "Why should I give a crap what these people think of me?"
He just sighed. "Never in my life." He just put the book down, looking at her and Gilbert who suddenly seemed interested. "Dude! Seriously? That's why you didn't want to hang out with me?!" Gilbert laughed and got up, hugging Roderich, making him flush from embarrassment. "O..ok..." He looked back at Hungary. "Yeah. I like chopin."
She smiled happily. "So do I... I've actually tried to compose a song to one of his pieces, but it failed horribly..." She shrugged. "I would like to hear you play sometime."
