Roderich could understand. His parents had been pretty judgmental as well. "I am truly sorry. It seems we both had mommy and daddy issues."
She nodded "I mean... If you want to meet them, it's a trip across town and an outfit change for me..."
He shook his head. "Don't worry about it."
"Well... I want you to meet them eventually... Just, maybe not until I give you a crash course on how they act.."
He agreed, for her sake. "Alright, that works for me."
"Now, what are we gonna do downtown?" She asked, very curious of what was going on
He afte innocent. "Oh, just make some memories is all."
"Hmm... Alright then.." She laughed softly and squeezed his hand lightly. There was a light wind blowing, sending the scent of the summer wildflowers in the air in a further distance than they actually reached. The scent made her miss the flowers she would keep in her hair, and the pin simply didn't cut it.
Roderich hadn't told Elizaveta, but today was the festival of flowers in town. Gilbert had informed him of Eliza's love for wildflowers, and so he was hoping this would be a good experience for her. As they got closer, they could smell the flowers and as they got even closer, the town below looked multicolored.
"what's going on in town...?" she raised an eyebrow at the colorful scene in the distance. "did... Did I miss something?" she was adorably confused.
He laughed. "Yes, But you were meant to miss it so it would be a surprised!"
"A surprise..? Roderich, what's going on..?" She was still terribly confused.
As they got closer, the flowers became visible. "This is what's going on." He replied with the widest of smiles.
Her eyes brightened, and a smile cracked her face. "Wow...."
"Do you like it?" He asked eagerly.
She nodded excitedly. "Yes, of course!!"
"I'm glad. Gil told me you liked flowers and I really hoped this would be fun."
"Like is the wrong word there.... I love flowers... The stupid ground at my house just refuses to have enough nutrients for my flowers to blossom.." She sounded almost angry, but immediately calmed.
He smiled. "Then we can buy some fertilizer while we're here. We can also buy some flowers. I'll help plant them."
"Seriously? You will?" She smiled brightly. "We should totally do that!!" She then frowned. "But, it's summer... there's not many things you can plant that flower....."
He simply grinned. "Pansy's will." He didn't tell her how he knew that
"That is true..." She smiled and looked at all the flowers. "I didn't know there was a flower festival.." She didn't really care that she hadn't known beforehand. It meant more to her that Roderich chose to take her to it so that it would be a surprise to her. "You do realize, the urge to kiss you senseless is terribly high right now, correct?"
He started to laugh. "Very well, then I believe the only correct thing to do in this situation would be to kiss me yes?" He smiled sheepishly at her.
She laughed softly. "But of course! I figured I would at least warn you" Elizaveta smiled, threw her arms around the Austrian's neck, and kissed him happily.
Roderich kissed her as well and then lead her closer to the town. "If I get that reaction every time you see lots of flowers, I will buy you as many as I can possibly carry."
