Valefar took her hand and led her back to their room. "Nero had her in his house. Nero kidnapped her to save her...you see, he was walking back home from the candy store and the pierce shop and then heard some bandits talking amongst themselves. They were planning on kidnapping Mela and holding her ransom to get money from us. However, once they got the money they were going to kill us and Mela. So Nero did all this to keep her safe." he explained and began to remove his shoes.

"Oh... wow... maybe we should check the castle staff for traders..." Vixen said softly then sighed before laying back down and smiling some at Valefar opening her arms clearly wanted to cuddle again.

"Traders?" he repeated and chuckled when he saw her opening her arms for him. "Hmph! I don't feel like cuddling with you." he said seriously and turned away before glancing at her and smiling. "I'm just teasing love. I'd love to cuddle with you." he said and pulled her closer to him.

Vixen smiled and teasingly pouted when he said he didn't want to cuddle then smirked and kissed him lovingly. "Well... the only way into the castle now is if you're one of Mela's friends or during the day... it sounded like someone was here way earlier... one of the guards must have known or they wouldn't have let them get as far as they were." she said softly having her Duchess growling at something before.

Valefar smirked and laughed before kissing her back softly. "Well then... I guess we'll have to discuss this with my parents and fire the guards." he commented and shrugged. "That should be tomorrow though. Oh!, little Mela asked me if Nero could stay here at the castle...of course I said yes. I just have to ask Nero if he even wants to come stay here." he said and sighed softly.

"I think that would do Mela some good... she doesn't seem to have constant friends. really." Vixen smiled some before nuzzling Valefar lovingly then let out a soft yawn. "Well, I think we should try and sleep don't you?" she smiled softly before kissing his neck lightly.

"As much as I want to go to sleep...I don't think I can. I'm fully awake and there is no point in me sleeping now." he answered and grabbed a book to read. "You get some sleep though, goodnight and sweet dreams love." he said softly before reading his book quietly.

"Okay I love you Valefar." Vixen smiled softly before wrapping her arms around him lovingly and falling asleep easily.

Once she fell to sleep, he tossed his book to the floor angrily. Why do they forbid Nero to see Mela? Do his parents not like Mela? Why would they hate her though? all these questions remained unanswered in his head and he hated it. He wanted answers but didn't know how to get them.

The next morning Mela was up a bit after when she would normally be and ate breakfast as usual after taking care of her pets then headed outside with Amai to sit and chat in the garden as her pets ran around and played hoping that Nero would show up. Vixen got up at her usual time only to find Valefar still awake. She spoke with him for awhile before going to have breakfast with Eofe as usual then headed off to check on her sister and Setta.

After Vixen left, Valefar put on his shoes and left to the dining room where he ate his breakfast silently then left the house. He climbed into a carriage and gave the driver directions to Nero's house then relaxed as he waited to arrive at Nero's house. While waiting, Valefar looked at his nails and noticed that he needed to file them as soon as he got home.

"You know Nero I'm glad you decided to listen to us and forget about that stupid girl, I mean really I can't believe she's even survived this long, being a fledgeling AND blind?! It would have been more humane if they had just put her down when she was born! Of course the same could be said about her mother!" Nero's father smirked slightly then growled at something. "Come on! You should know how to clean better then that! You've missed like ten spots already! Are they just going to clean themselves Nero?!" he snapped darkly.

Nero said nothing once his father was done talking...or better yet, insulting. If I'm missing some spots...why don't you clean it? he thought to himself as he scrubbed harder. Of course he could have lashed out at him and tell him that Mela nor Vixen freaks or anything. Of course...that would get him beaten and his piercings would be torn off. Just the thought of that made him wince in pain. It amazed Nero how he had to basically do everything here except the food. He had to clean the house, wash the clothes, dry them, fold and Iron them...wash the bed sheets and change them too. He did everything basically but he couldn't complain...if he did it would all just get worse. Valefar told the driver to wait for him as he walked over to the front door and knocked rather loudly on the door, waiting for someone to open it. "Shall I get that father?" asked Nero.

Nero's father said nothing but just waved him off signalling for him to go and get the door not even caring as he was reading the paper and drinking some coffee.

Nero nodded and quickly washed his hands before opening the door, only to shudder a bit as he noticed it was Valefar at the door. "Hello prince, please come inside. "Thank-you Nero." he said and smiled before walking inside. Seeing Nero's father there, he blinked a couple of times before speaking. "Good Morning." he said to Nero's father and then looked at Nero. "Nero, I've come to talk to you and ask you something." Valefar stated.

Nero's father looked up and narrowed his eyes a bit and Nero blinked some before speaking "What is it?" he asked softly unsure of where this might be going exactly.

"I'm sure your parents will be upset when I bring up this topic...but frankly I don't care. You see, my little Mela misses you. I'm sure we all knew she would, she told me that you two are best friends and that she really would hate not being able to see you." he started and smirked. "Well you know me, I want to keep my daughter happy, so I asked her if there was anything I could do to make her happy, and she replied by asking if I would let you stay at the castle. We do have plenty of room, so of course I said yes because my little Mela always gets what she wants. So I've come here to ask you if you wanted to come home with me." he stated softly.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Nero's father said as he stood up and glared at Valefar. "You may be the prince but you can't just come in here and take away someone's child, besides, he still is, just a child." the male sneered darkly as he stepped between Valefar and Nero not letting him answer.

Valefar glared at Nero's father and smirked. "You're right...I can't take him away at all. Though, I'm not taking him away...I'm asking him. The choice is his really. I'm not forcing him to come with me you know...and I suggest that you show me some respect! As you stated I AM the prince and I will not let you raise your voice at me!" he hissed. "I may not look like it, but I am very dangerous when angry...and very angry when I haven't slept. Just letting you know I haven't slept at ALL last night! So I would be very careful if I were you!" he snapped angrily before glancing around the house only to see that there was a soapy sponge on the floor. He didn't think much of it though and wondered where Nero's mother was at. "As I was saying, I was asking Nero and will wait for him to answer." Valefar repeated as his tail swayed casually behind him.

Nero paused thinking a bit and looking between the two males before stepping around his father and nodding to Valefar showing that he wanted to come with him which made his father growled deeply. "You're a worthless excuse of a life ya know that Nero! So go on, go be with the disgusting little freak and her family, I'm sure you'll fit right in!" the male hissed making Nero shiver a bit and move out of the way of the Prince knowing he would not take that lightly.

"MY DAUGHTER IS NOT A FREAK!" Valefar growled darkly and wrapped a hand around Nero's father's neck. "I suggest you be very careful how you talk of my daughter in my presence!" Valefar hissed and began to dig his nails into his neck. "I've never killed anyone before...wouldn't want to start off with you." he warned and threw Nero's father to the side angrily after feeling some blood trickle from his neck. Valefar then glanced at Nero, "Is there anything you need to bring with you?" he asked.

Nero's father choked a bit at the feel of Valefar's nails in his neck then coughed and gasped some as he hit the floor and right away his wife was by his side. Nero nodded and went to get some of his stuff before walking up to Valefar not even looking at his parents. "I'm ready." he said quietly as his mother stared at him and Valefar in shock.

"I warned you Sir, and be glad it was just that!" he said and grinned. "Have a good day you two!" he said happily before looking at Nero and nodding. "Come along, I'm sure Mela will be very happy to know you're staying." commented Valefar as he led him to the carriage. "Hop inside." he said and ordered the driver to take them back home before getting into the carriage as well and enjoying the ride home.

"Thank you Prince." Nero finally said once they were in the carriage and was actually rather glad to be away from his parents and their criticism.

"You're quite welcome Nero. Your parents remind me of mine...my parents were cruel towards me when I was your age...no worries though, maybe after a few years they'll mellow out. My parents treat me kindly now...they changed a lot when Mela was born which still surprises me to this day." explained Valefar before fighting back a yawn. It wasn't long before they arrived at the castle and Valefar happily stepped out of the carriage before motioning Nero to follow. "Come along, I'll show you to your room."
