"Really? Well... at least your parents probably didn't make you get down on your hands and knees and scrub every inch of the house... or do all of the londery..." Nero said then nodded and fallowed Valefar with his stuff. "so... if you don't mind me asking, is it really true that for a long time you actually didn't like Princess Vixen? And did the king really try to kill her once?" he asked since allot of that had been spread around the kingdom by the maids and their kids.

"So you were the one scrubbing the floor? Well I'm sorry you have to put up with that...but not anymore. You don't have to do anything of that here I assure you." he assured and laughed as he walked inside the house with him. "Ah yes, I hated her at first...I wasn't happy with the idea of having her around. Oh yes, my father tried to kill her once but by that time, I had grown to really like Vixen. It was a crush I had and I defended her from my father, I saved her that day. We both suffered a lot because we loved each other and no one agreed to it...but it was all worth it because in the end, we got married and had little Mela. Things you really want are worth fighting for Nero, never forget that." explained Valefar before leading him upstairs to his new room.

"Wow... I never would have guessed that there used to be so much hostility here... I mean I've seen Mrs.Vixen and the King chatting and they don't seem to hate each other at all now... I mean sure they seem to tease and mess with each other allot but never anything serious..." Nero said then smiled some as he fallowed Valefar to his new room. As they walked Nero spotted Souls helping Nixy along which confused him making him think that it was Vixen. "Is Mrs. Vixen okay?" he asked not knowing that Vixen had a twin sister... since she had been sick for awhile Nixy only came out of her room for a little while at a time so most of Mela's friends didn't even know she had an aunt.

"Oh yeah, it was a warzone in here before. I think it's nice that they tease each other without lashing out at each other." he answered and chuckled. "Huh?" he looked over and saw Nixy then shook his head and continued walking. "Vixen has a twin sister Nixy which is who you just saw. It turns out Nixy isn't feeling too well at the moment but hopefully she'll get better soon." he answered softly before opening the door to a lavish looking room. "Here were are Nero. Make yourself comfortable, I believe that Mela is out in the garden." he informed and smiled. "This castle gets busy at times...but it's never really noisy. If you need anything you can ask any of the maids to get if for you. If you'd like, you can get some breakfast since I'm sure you're hungry." he explained.

"Wow... they look just alike..." Nero commented before looking at the room shocked. "Are you sure? This is an awfully nice room...." he said since he wasn't used to anyone being this kind to him... well Mela was different of course... but for the prince to give him such a nice room on such short notice..

Valefar nodded. "Yes they do, I actually mistook Nixy for Vixen once actually when I first saw her. I'm glad she told me she wasn't Vixen, wouldn't want to kiss her by mistake, imagine what would happen then?" commented Valefar. Seeing how surprised Nero was by the room, Valefar frowned slightly, "Nero, things are going to be different now okay? This is your new room and you shouldn't worry about it." started Valefar. "Just because your parents were mean to you doesn't mean I have to as well. In this castle you will get what you deserve." he added.

Nero laughed slightly. "That would be hard to explain wouldn't it?" he laughed a bit then smiled slightly. "Thank you Prince... I think I'm gonna go look for Mela if that's okay." he smiled some

Valefar grinned and chuckled. "That would be very hard to explain indeed. This prince would be in a lot of trouble I'm sure." he agreed and chuckled. "Okay then Nero, I'm going to go look for Vixen before I try to go to bed. Have fun Nero, if you'll excuse me." he said and smiled before walking downstairs, wondering where Vixen was.

Vixen was sitting in the small sitting room downstairs chatting with Nixy who was telling her what she thought was going on and how bad her sight was now along with a bit of other stuff.
Mela smiled as she sat down under one of the trees after chasing her pets around and looked around rather surprised that she hadn't seen Valefar most of the morning... well ever since he brought her home... she wondered what was going on. |
When Valefar saw Vixen, he decided not to interrupt and quietly started walking back upstairs to his room. He did want to tell her that he was going to try to get some sleep, but he decided to let her talk to her sister in peace.
Nero quietly began to walk down the stairs, careful not to make any eye contact with anyone. His parents usually yelled at him if he made eye contact with them. Walking towards the garden, he smiled when he saw Mela sitting under a tree and walked over to her with a smile on her face. |
Mela looked up as she heard someone walking and smiled brightly before getting up and right away nearly tackled Nero happily. "Yay! You came! I'm so happy you came!" she smiled probably the biggest and brightest smile she had ever shown as she looked up at Nero seeming just so very very happy.

Nero chuckled and hugged her back tightly. "Yes I came, just like I promised." he said and ruffled her hair gently. "I actually have to tell you something Mela." he commented and sat down under the tree with her. "Your father came over to my house...and told me that you wanted me to come over and stay here at the castle...is that true?" he asked and tilted his head.

Mela blushed slightly but nodded. "You're parents were being so mean to you... and when they went to hit you I had made up my mind... I wanted you to come here so you never had to go through that again... I didn't want them to hurt you anymore." she explained softly before looking up at him and giving him a slight smile hoping her understood.

"I really don't know why you worry so much...they're my parents and I'm used to it all. When your father arrived at my house, I was busy scrubbing the floor, so I was a little glad that he had come when he did." he commented and shrugged. "As I said, he told me what you wanted but my father said no and then he and your father got into a discussion...then I said yes and my father yelled at me and called you a freak which caused your father to almost kill mine. I grabbed a few things and here I am...I'm staying." he explained and grinned. "Overall it was a good day."

"I worry because it's not right for anyone to hurt anyone else, especially you're parents to hurt you... they're supposed to love you not hurt you." Mela said then just hugged Nero and smiled up at him. "Well I'm glad you're staying, I like being close to you." she smiled happily and nuzzled him softly.

Hearing her last comment, Nero blushed and hugged her back before just holding her close. "I like being close to you too Mela, and now that I'm staying...we'll never be apart I promise." he whispered and smiled as he ran his grey nails through her hair soothingly. "What have you been doing while I was gone?" he asked her curiously.

"Well... I slept a little later then normal today.... I took care of my pets, got to talk to my two aunts... and feel my aunts baby kick." Mela smiled easily and you could tell the one she was talking about was actually Setta who was almost due to have her baby any day now.

"Your Aunt's baby....you mean Setta?" he asked and smiled. "Well it seems like you had a fun day. I was just scrubbing the floor and after that I was supposed to make some tea and coffee then do laundry." he stated and shrugged. "I'm sure my parents can handle all that on their own though." he said and laughed happily.

"I sure hope so it would be rather sad if they didn't know how to do all that on their own." Mela laughed a little before giggling some as Weasel came up and started to jump from the ground to her lap then to Nero's lap, ground and back clearly wanting to play as he barked and wagged his tail excitedly.

"It would be rather sad wouldn't it? If they can't do it themselves I hope they can afford a maid." he answered and blinked as he saw Weasel jumping around. "Looks like someone wants to play." he said to Mela and chuckled before reaching over and petting Weasel gently.

Weasel barked happily before running off for a second then coming back with a rope toy and growling playfully wanting one of them to try and take it. "Yep! Weasel always wants to play, I can through his toys for hours and he'll still want to play even longer." she smiled and laughed.

Nero watched Weasel run off and blinked as he listened to Mela. "It seems they always have a lot of energy huh?" he said and grinned when Weasel returned. Chuckling, Nero grabbed the rope and began to gently tug on it as he played with Weasel. "Even though they're very energetic...you still get them to sleep?" he asked her.

"Well Duchess gets Weasel to sleep... Snow is playful but she's more like a cat sometimes it seems, you know, can be kinda lazy, Mint loves to play as well but she knows when it's bedtime... and Midnight.... well she's more cuddly then playful... but she will steal stuff so you have to chase her, but eventually she does give it back or drop it." Mela laughed some as Mint suddenly came running over and tackled Weasel to the ground playfully growling and rolling around with him.

"I see, well it must be nice to have pets." started Nero as he laughed when Mint began to play with Weasel. "Your pets are pretty cute." he commented and took this time to hold Mela close to him. "I'm just happy to know that you're happy and safe.." he said quietly and ran a finger over one of his piercings. He then remembered that he hadn't eaten breakfast but didn't want to move from where he was at the moment.

"Well now you can play with them any time you like too." Mela poineded out happily before just staying close to Nero then thought of something and looked up at him. "Have you eaten yet?" she asked since he hadn't mentioned eating breakfast yet when he had told her what he had been doing.
