"Morning," Christine said, distracted as she went through yet another bit of information, jotting it down. So far she was rather unnerved by what she'd found.
Once Kali had her tea, she sat down next to Christine.
"What're you looking for now?" she asked. |
"I had a weird dream last night. Like angel weird, not my brain weird. I don't remember much, just this name. Gabriel." Christine looked at her. "So I've been trying to find out who he is."
"Any luck so far?" Kali asked, trying to look over Christine's shoulder.
"Yeah. He's not exactly hard to research." Christine slid her paper over so Kali could see. "As you can see I got a few things on him."
Kali nodded, looking over what Christine had written.
"Fun stuff," she said, looking at her friend again. "What do you think?" |
"I think I'm either going insane or there's some truth to what the skull said." Christine sighed, rubbing her forehead.
"I'd bank on the skull," Kali admitted. "He was able to pin us down as a Tryad in five seconds flat, remember?"
"Yeah, I know." Christine sighed. "That doesn't exactly make me happy, though. All joking aside, I have no idea what being a nephilim means, and I can't find very much actual information on them."
"I don't know," Kali said. She was quiet for a minute. "Maybe the others know. The wizard, or those other two."
"Maybe." Christine sighed. "We're supposed to go see the brothers this morning anyway, remember? Think maybe we should grab the wizard to go hunting with us?"
"We'll go get the wizard and meet you back here?" Kali offered.
Christine nodded. "Sounds fair. I'll work a bit more on this research but I'll be ready to go when you get back."
"Alright. I'll go upstairs so we can shower and get dressed, and then one of us will head out." Quickly, Kali finished her tea and headed back up the stairs.
Christine kept working on her research, compiling all her notes before she got up and went to get ready to go. She'd shower after the Tryad was done.
Bahiti came down the stairs a while later, in jeans and a (different than before) green shirt that actually seemed to fit her well, indicating that she was the sister with the biggest body shape. The green seemed to be a staple of the wardrobe, though; it was one of the only colors that looked good on all three sisters.
"Alright, shower's all yours," she said to Christine, heading into the kitchen for a quick cup of coffee. Kali's tea never did the trick for her. |
Christine nodded and went to go shower, getting dressed before she headed downstairs again.
"Alright, I'm just about ready to go, so if you want to go gather up the wizard..." |
Bahiti nodded and headed out the door. It wouldn't take her long to get the wizard.
Harry was already up, and he looked over when he heard the knock on the door.
"Morning," he greeted when he saw Bahiti. |
"Morning," Bahiti replied. "We think we may have something, we wanted to know if you wanted to go with us to meet up with our other contacts."
"Think you've got something?" Harry asked, already grabbing his trench coat and staff.
Bahiti shrugged.
"Christine thinks she may have something of a lead," she said. "She wanted us to gather everyone up so we can start searching." |
Harry nodded. "Sounds like a good start." He stretched briefly before motioning to Mouse and leaving the hotel room. "Lead the way."
Bahiti blinked at the giant dog and almost immediately, she clenched her teeth together and shut her eyes tightly as a high-pitched buzzing came from her throat. After a moment, it stopped and she relaxed.
"Sorry," she said a second later. "Kali likes furry things. I had to stop her from squealing." |
Harry blinked before he snorted. "Pretty sure we've heard it before," he said with a grin. He motioned for her to lead the way once they were out of the hotel.
