Katherine smiled just a bit and settled back into her seat. She appreciated not having to spend the evening alone.
Pritkin was mostly quiet as he worked, focusing on getting his potions ready and put into vials. He didn't label them; he didn't need to.
Katherine just watched, content with the silence. She kept careful track of the time, though.
Pritkin did as well, stopping about an hour before sunrise. He stretched and shook himself before looking back at her.
"Well, now that I've kept you up all night with my swearing, I suppose you need to get back somewhere dark." |
"I appreciate the concern, but I'm a daywalker," Katherine replied as she stood up and stretched a bit. "However, I should be getting back soon anyways." She looked at him. "Thank you, for indulging me this evening. I appreciate not having to be alone."
"Come back any time. It was nice to have some intelligent company." Pritkin smiled a bit. Because he'd had his share of unintelligent company.
Katherine smiled a bit in return.
"Careful about inviting a vampire back," she teased. "They may take you up on it." |
"I'm not too worried, this is a public building," Pritkin shot back with a little grin. "Besides, I need someone around to keep me from mixing potions accidentally."
"I feel like I should be mildly worried that it's even a concern," Katherine replied, grinning a little. "Mildly."
