Kae found a nice big thick fluffy blanket and had curled up in the center of the bed with it, completely cocooned. Now she was nice and warm. She watched Bruce moved around the cabin, though.

Bruce glanced back over at her and raised an eyebrow.

"I thought we were going back out to the couch?" he said.

"Nope, I'm warm and comfortable here," Kae said, snuggling into the bed a little. "Not moving."

Bruce considered that for a moment before going and getting under the blankets with her.

"Then I may as well stay here, too," he said, putting his arms around her.

Kae blinked but didn't try to stop him, instead curling closer to him.

"Guess you're my personal space heater now," she teased with a grin.

"Seems so," Bruce replied. He pulled her closer and gave her a small kiss.

Kae smiled a little and kissed him again. He wasn't normally the one to initiate things, so she was pleasantly surprised.

Bruce returned the kiss. This, he didn't mind.

A while later, Kae curled up against his side again, smiling lazily as she carded her fingers through his hair.

"Still didn't see any green," she teased.

"The Other Guy likes you," Bruce said with the faintest traces of a smile. "Although I'm afraid I was a little rougher with you than I meant to be..." He trailed off, looking at her.

Kae snorted. "Bruce, dear, I didn't mind," she said with a grin. "In case you somehow missed that. It's okay." She grinned briefly at him, curling closer to him.

"Still," Bruce said, letting her cuddle closer. He put his arms around her.

Kae just smiled and settled in there, content to rest for a while.

"Least it's warm now," she mumbled against his shoulder.

"Yeah," Bruce agreed. He held her closer. "Go on to sleep if you want. The candles are about burned down anyways, and we should save them for later, just in case."

Kae nodded, managing to snuff them with some very careful control, before she yawned and settled in again.

The storm had blown over by morning, although the power hadn't come back on yet. Bruce, being in the habit of waking early, was indeed awake early, but he didn't feel like getting up quite yet. He was far too comfortable curled up with Kae. Comfortable enough that even the Hulk was quiet for the moment.

Kae slept in a little later than she was used to, and she blinked sleepily at him when she did finally wake up with a spectacular case of bed-head.

"Morning," she muttered, stretching and rolling over to flop on her back.

"Morning," Bruce replied, loosening his hold on her so she could stretch. "Sleep okay?"

"Mmhm." Kae grinned. "Very well. How about you?" She stuck a toe out of the blankets experimentally, shivered, and promptly wormed over to him again.

"Better than I have in a while," Bruce admitted. His shoulders and arms were exposed, but he wasn't cold; there was definitely some bleed-over from the Hulk in that area.

Kae made a face at him and tucked a blanket further up his chest. "Think we should even go check and see if we can get out of here yet, or wait until later?"

"Up to you," Bruce replied. He let her tuck the blanket up higher. "Either is fine with me."

Kae was quiet for a few moments, drumming her fingers on his chest. Because clearly she was allowed to touch now and she was going to take full advantage of that.

"How about I start a fire again and we wait for it to warm up some? Even you can't be totally impervious to the cold."

"I think that's a good idea," Bruce said. He didn't mind her touching, really. He gave her a quick kiss. "And since I doubt you'll even have to get out of bed..." He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer.

"Nope." Kae grinned, though she did have to float the candle and matchbook over to them again. "Sorry. I'm not quite good enough to get the match out and light it. Jean says it'll come with time and practice, but." She shrugged. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to telekinetically light a match?"
