"But otherwise he's okay? He's not overly upset or anything?" Kae looked back at him. Because yes she was worried.

"He hasn't gone into one of his rages, no," Bruce replied. "He's smashing things more often, though. Tony's had to bring in more smashing material."

Kae sighed. "Well, at least he hasn't tried to get out," she said quietly. "And he knows what we want. I knew he couldn't be mindless."

"Not everyone had your faith," Bruce reminded her quietly, now just resting his hands on her belly.

"I know. But now that we know, we can work things out. You won't have to worry so much." Kae smiled and let him keep his hands there. While she was nice and mellow she didn't mind.

"We'll see how things turn out," Bruce said. He was quiet for a moment. "Any word from Elaine and Loki on the subject?"

"Not that I've heard." Kae shrugged a little. "As far as I know, they're still trying to decode the spell, or whatever."

"I don't know if I should be surprised or not that it's taking so long," Bruce admitted. "On one hand, Loki is supposedly restricted from magic, but on the other... It's Loki, after all. I gather magic is his forte."

"It is," Kae confirmed. "But he's pretty restricted, so Elaine is the one actually doing the majority of the footwork."

"So he has to work at her pace, I see now," Bruce said. That was one part of collaborating he never had to worry about with Tony; they never had to work at the pace of the slowest member of the group because they were both geniuses and worked at the speed of light. "Loki must be ready to tear his hair out."

"Pretty much, from what I can tell," Kae agreed with a little grin. "But they're working on it."

"Good," Bruce said. He rubbed Kae's belly gently again with one hand.

Kae smiled and relaxed there, settling in to not-quite-nap with him for a little while.

Gently, Bruce maneuvered them so that they were laying across the couch with her settled on top of him. He was all for her catching naps when she could; he could see that she got tired more easily lately. Growing a person inside you had to take a lot of energy, so he let her rest whenever she could.

Kae grumbled something about him spoiling her but didn't actually try to move, just getting comfortable instead. After a minute, she grabbed the blanket that had been on the back of the couch and tugged it over them.

"I'm allowed to spoil you," Bruce murmured to her softly as he let her get comfortable. "Now rest for a while."

"Okay." Kae yawned quietly and settled in there. It was getting harder for her to get a good nights' sleep now.

Bruce just held her, letting her rest. He'd noticed she was having a hard time sleeping lately.

Kae managed to fall asleep there for a little nap. Hey, she was comfy.

Clint walked into the room maybe half an hour later and paused when he saw them. Whoops. Best not to wake scary pregnant lady. He turned and tip-toed right back out.

Elsewhere in the tower, Elaine was still trying to pick through the spell.

"I can't find any seams in this," she commented finally, sitting back and massaging her forehead a bit.

"Amora is very thorough," Loki agreed, although he sounded more pissed off now. He really hated not having the full range of his powers. If he did, he'd have had this beat long ago.

"Does that mean she's the only one who can fix this?" Elaine asked, glancing at him?

"Unfortunately, it does seem that way," Loki said with a sigh. "It seems I'll have to see her again sooner than I had planned."

"No love lost between you, I take it?" Elaine asked.

"None at all." Loki didn't explain more than that though.
