"No kidding," Elaine said. She kept rubbing her belly. "They're restless right now for some reason. Not kicking hard, but they're not staying still, either."

"It's probably getting a little cramped in there," Tony said with a shrug. "Can't get comfortable with your brother or sister's hand in your face."

"Probably," Elaine agreed. She was quiet for a moment. "Steve doesn't want to know what they are until they're born, but I'm tempted to ask."

"So ask," Tony said with a shrug. "You can know, you don't have to tell Steve. Besides, you have to start thinking of names."

"I'm considering it," Elaine admitted. "I do want to think of some names now, rather than waiting. I might ask later, when I get the chance."

Tony nodded. "Makes sense," he agreed. "Don't do what Kae and Bruce did and wait until the last minute and wait until the kid's born to name them."

Elaine snickered.

"They didn't do too bad, though," she said. "Kae probably had two names in mind for a while, and picked once she saw the baby."

"Bruce is also not picky," Tony pointed out. "And fairly relaxed. Steve will probably want in on the whole process."

"You're probably right," Elaine said. She set down her empty smoothie glass. "Here, help me up? I should be getting back upstairs." She pouted a bit. "And I haven't been able to stand up without help for weeks."

Tony snickered and helped her up easily. "This is what happens when you have twins," he said with a grin. "Like you keep saying, six more weeks."

"Hopefully six more weeks," Elaine said. "It might not be that long, something for which I may actually be grateful." She steadied herself on her feet. "I like being pregnant. But if there's a next time, I don't want it to be more than one." She sighed, rubbing her back a bit. "Almost time for something that might resemble magic practice, so I should be getting back upstairs.

Tony snorted. "Have fun." He watched her go and shook his head, very amused now. And slightly terrified of having three little monsters in his tower.

Elaine made sure she was outside the workshop before she teleported herself back upstairs. She waddled around the living room for a couple of minutes just to stretch her legs a bit, and then settled on the couch.

Loki moved into the room and looked at her before smiling knowingly. Oh yes, he remembered how that felt.

"Starting to get a bit impatient?"

"Just a little," Elaine replied. "They're heavy now, and clearly they inherited Steve's strength."

"I thought they might. His enhancements will likely have some kind of effect for a few generations, at least." Loki shrugged, unsurprised.

"Yeah, I figured that might be the case," Elaine said, rubbing her belly a little. "Steve said he doesn't want to know if they're boys or girls until they're born, but I'm kind of curious. And I want to be able to pick out a few names."

"So you want to know?" Loki smiled a bit and moved over, putting one hand against her belly. "If I'm not mistaken, which I'm not, you have one of each. One boy and one girl."

Elaine couldn't help but smile.

"A boy and a girl," she said, rubbing her belly gently. "That's wonderful."

Loki smiled a bit. "Both very healthy, as I'm sure you already guessed. I doubt you will have a problem with these two, except perhaps that they are too energetic."

"I'm glad they're strong and healthy," Elaine said. "It doesn't help that I bruise easily, but I can deal with that for a while longer." She smiled. "But it's a good thing their father will be able to keep up with them."

Loki snorted softly. "I would guess they will start walking and running earlier than is normal for human children. But I am not positive."

"We'll have to wait and see," Elaine said. She rubbed her belly again when one of the twins rolled over. "They've been restless today for some reason. Probably just not enough space anymore."

"Likely the case." Loki tilted his head to the side a bit. "You may have to deliver them sooner than you think, they are already getting cramped and they will only get larger."

"That thought's crossed my mind a few times," Elaine admitted. "They would be able to come out now and be okay, I know that. But it's better if I'm able to keep them inside a little longer."
