Shows You're Sick Of?
 

I don't watch that much T.V. anymore, but when I do it's usually the same things. BUT, with that said, I've got some shows I've just had enough of, even if I enjoyed them in the past.

I'm sick of:
~Friends
~The Bachelor/Bachelorette
~The Deadliest Catch
~Mythbusters
~Dirty Jobs
~Two and a Half Men (with Ashton Kutcher)

I'd write a long paragraph about why, but I'm tired, and the basic answer is they've been on too long (or on reruns in the case of Friends).

So what's yours, and why, Mene? NO ONE WORD ANSWERS.

Well, to list a few specific, I absolutely abhor the following:

Dance Moms
Toddlers and Tiaras
Jerseylicious
Jersey Shore
Storage Wars

Ergh, you know what? Any reality television show that's overly dramatic. That basically includes anything on MTV which I avoid much like the Bubonic Plague, anything that exploits children for their parents' personal gains, any pawn or storage shows because they're getting desperately boring and repetitive to the point that it's overly predictable.

I do find interest still in Mythbusters, but that's because I don't necessarily watch it much. I focus more on any type of forensic or true crime on ID and Tru TV.

I am definitely sick of Two And A Half Men. Charlie Sheen was a whack job and I don't even know who is still watching that show. Sure Ashton Kutcher may have brought a few extra viewers in the beginning but the overall show itself is quite meaningless.

I agree--Johnny Test has always annoyed me. And I don't think (personally) that Disney Channel has had a good show since Lizzie McGuire went off the air.

As per Two and a Half Men, I loved Charlie Sheen's nuttiness, but I have *le gasp* always hated Ashton Kutcher.

I miss cartoons. Actual cartoons. Not these reality show things they put on Nick and Disney now. What the hell. I want Rugrats back :x I'm so sick of iCarly, Victorious, and all the other shit on now. I'm glad I don't have cable.

I'm quite sick of the new Spongebob episodes. Some of them can be funny; however, it's just not as good as the original episodes. I feel like Spongebob and Patrick have gotten stupider than before. I'm also quite sick of Jersey Shore: they do the same thing every night, which gets old. I don't really watch anything from VH1, considering everything on there is crap. Some reality shows are really fun to watch, but other times they get really petty. Honestly, I like Dance Moms: it's entertaining how much the kids get yelled at by their instructor who's too fat to even dance.

Err... I know a lot of people love New Girl, but I hate it. I never liked Zooey Deschanel. Oops. I don't think she's funny. She's just...awkward. And I'm sorry but her voice annoys me a lot.

I don't like iCarly either. Carly irks me. The other characters are... okay, and I actually used to like that show but a while back I realized how stupid their webcasts actually are. Like, random dancing? Really? How is that even the least bit funny? And Miranda Cosgrove kinda sucks at acting. Sorry. \:

@Roxxie: Thank you. Seriously. I have never for even one second found Zooey Deschanel to be a good actor, let alone interesting. She's just one of those chicks that stands there and looks pretty.

I've had a ton of guy friends who had crushes on her and it just made me want to vomit.

And yeees. If those iCarly webcasts were real they would fail. They are awful.

@hummy: I agree with you there--I watch t.v. and read books, etc., to get away from crap, not get more annoyed and depressed.

Pretty much all of those shows like "toddlers and tiaras" (which I haven't nor will ever see) because they are just parading about these snobby little brats that need their butts beaten...
That and those teen pregnancy shows because they're basically saying "don't worry, if you get pregnant we'll put you on TV!!"

Also, anything english dubbed from Japan is completely ruined typically so I'll toss that into the list too... >.>"

Miyazaki stuff is well dubbed in English, and I enjoy the English dub of InuYasha much more than the Japanese original, but you're very right. Japanese stuff is usually destroyed by dubs.

So true... I remember watching Naruto on TV once... I got about 5 minutes in before turning it off... the voices made me sick to my stomach

I just don't like Naruto, so that show never got my views, but I've seen tons of anime in my life, and none of it transfers well.

Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, and Nick all went to hell, pretty much. I blame it on Hannah Montana.

And sure. XD Most people have a distaste for Fox, but maybe I'm biased because I live in a pretty liberal place.

I don't like fox because I'm sick of their voices... o.o I don't care who's right... just... stop... talking... XD

Haha, yeah. I feel ya. During election seasons my dad never stops playing CNN and MSNBC. I wanted to shoot the t.v. by the end of the 2008 elections.

@ElysiumFate: Ahhh, finally! Everyone I know loves Zooey Deschanel. It makes me cringe. She's... not bad-looking, but her acting and her personality are just ugh. I'm on Tumblr often, and I think if I ever voiced this opinion there I would be having a mob out for my head.

@ Roxxie - Who is Zooey Deschanel? I gave up on any TV Channel except Food Network, Animal Channel, USA, and SciFi...

I wouldn't necessarily call her talentless, but seriously. She's like Britney Spears or any cookie cutter celebrity. Just stands there and looks cute while acting with a monotone voice. I also get this vibe that she's not as sweet in real life as her characters are.

I have no right to judge anyone, but for some reason I get the diva vibe from her.

Cartoon Network is stupid now. I miss Friday Nights and shows like Ed Ed N Eddy, and Camp Lazlo.
Disney just sucks. I only like Phineas and Ferb. The Spongebob shows aren't the same as they used to be...x…x

Spongebob is so creepy now, it's awful. o.o

Camp Lazlo was so much fun. It was probably the last good show Cartoon Network had.

CSI and NCIS. Used to be addicted, now its a trial to try and watch. CSI I gave up after Grissom left, and I only watch NCIS for Gibbs and Abby.
