"I think you may have your work cut out for you, if you intend to have this one snuggling into your bed soon," Cadr replied with a bit of a smirk. "Now that her sister knows how to get here and seems to have no qualms about just barging in."
Saif chuckled. "No, I won't, because you're not going to let her just go off and wandering by herself," he said with a grin. "You wouldn't trust her to come back."
"She had a chance to run off," Cadr pointed out. "They both did, in fact. Granted, we were keeping an eye on them, but they didn't know that. They had an opportunity to try to run." He shrugged. "I would say that's something."
"Yes, but your girl was with her better half," Saif pointed out. "Who knows what she'd do when she's on her own and pissed off at you?"
"We'll have to see," Cadr replied. Although now, of course, he was pondering how to test that theory.
Saif snorted. "Yes, we'll see what happens." He was still very amused, though. "Besides, you'll have to come up with some way to keep your entertained or she might try to move in here."
"Oh yes, she would move in here and interfere with your attempts to woo yours," Cadr replied, grinning a bit. "Can't have that."
"Of course not," Saif said with a brief grin. "Besides, I thought you wanted a nice little bed-warmer too."
"Maybe," Cadr replied. He grinned and gave Saif a friendly shove. "While it's nice having a warm body in bed with me, I'm not the cold-blooded one."
Saif laughed quietly. "That just means I appreciate it more," he said with a grin.
Cadr rolled his eyes.
"Let me know when your plan to get into her bed actually works," he said. |
"Oh you'll know," Saif said with a smirk. He glanced over when he heard the girls approaching again. "You should probably take yours home and take some time to get to know her better."
"Not a bad idea," Cadr mused. He watched the girls coming back. "Enjoy your walk?" he asked them.
Sabine nodded after a moment. "Yeah. It was interesting." She shifted and glanced over at Aislin. "When are we getting kicked out?"
"That's up to him." Saif nodded to Cadr. "Far as I'm concerned you can stay for the rest of the day." He was careful to specify that, though. It wouldn't do to have her thinking she had a really open invitation. |
"I have no objections to hanging around until dusk," Cadr said. He got the distinct feeling that it would annoy Sabine even more if he made her leave now, so he would give her a little extra time. For now.
Sabine nodded, briefly grateful for that. She was really enjoying having time with her sister.
Except now she didn't know what to do. It wasn't her area after all, and she didn't know what she was allowed to do. |
Aislin thought for a moment, and then took her sister's hand.
"Come with me," she said. "I found a spot outside that would be perfect for a garden, I want to know what you think." She paused, and looked at Saif. "That is... a garden with your permission, of course." |
"A garden?" Saif blinked. "I had never considered. Perhaps that would be a good hobby for you. I believe I will look at the spot as well." He smiled at her, clearly trying to set her at ease.
Sabine blinked. Well, he seemed nice enough. |
Aislin's eyes widened for a moment. She hadn't thought that he might want to see, too. She had thought he would either give or deny permission and that would be that. She nodded, however.
"Of course," she said. |
"Lead the way, then." Saif smiled a little, rather amused that he'd caught her by surprise like that. He followed her out at a sedate pace.
Aislin nodded and led them outside to where she'd found the perfect spot to start the garden. It was right up against the back of the temple, where the sun would always shine on one side or the other.
"I want moonflowers and morning glories along the wall," she said pointing. "Some herbs. Maybe some other flowers." |
Saif nodded slowly. "Very well. I like that idea. You may proceed as you like." He smiled at her and moved a little ways away to give them some semblance of privacy.
Aislin smiled; a bright, genuine smile.
"Thank you," she said. Cadr watched from the doorway, intrigued. Could it really be so easy to make human girls happy? |
"My pleasure. You will let me know if you require anything?" He raised his eyebrows at her, intentionally making it a question and not a demand.
Aislin paused for a moment, almost hesitating, and then nodded.
"I will," she said. |
