She smiled at him and looked at him as he stood. "I had to clean anyway so don't worry about making anything dirty. Do what makes you comfortable." Miriam said before moving closer to him and blushing a little. Her body moved of its own will, at least that is what she thought, but she only moved a little bit closer so she did not make him uncomfortable. The brunette looked at him as she felt her face getting hotter before speaking again because her words tumbled out of her mouth before her brain could stop her. "What if I don't want you gone?" A voice in the back of her head, that sounded like her father, was screaming about using her common sense but her attention was on the boy in front of her.
Ben nodded as he listened to her and watched as she moved closer. Her sent become stronger and it was starting to make his mind foggy, something that he had never felt before. Seeing her blush made something inside of him go wild in a different way then before. Yet what struck him frozen and silent were her words. No one had ever wanted him to stay. Slowly looking at her, he tried to form words but he wasn't sure what to stay. Something in him wanted to stay while the other part of him knew he couldn't, he was a danger, he was the monster in little kid stories. He wasn't meant to stay with people, with humans, in a home. He cleared his throat and looked at her, ready to say he couldn't. Yet something took over and he found the words, "I would like that." come out instead of no. Now that he had said that their was no turning back.
Her eyes stayed on him as she blushed more and looked up at him. Miriam felt her heart pounding in her chest as her common sense yelled at her in her head. She stood there with him through, unsure of what to do next while wringing her hands in front of her. The brunette thought about what to do next and the only thing she could think of was kiss him but she did not want to startle him. "I'm glad to hear that...um...the bathroom is down this way..." She said walking towards the back of the house and tried not to blush as she lead him.
Ben wasn't sure what else to say now and just found himself following her down to the bathroom. ONce their, he smiled at her, "thank you, for everything." he said and felt like he was suppose to do something yet didn't risk it. He wasn't even sure if he should stay here or not, let alone get attached. Quickly, he slid into the bathroom and closed the door. ONce alone he let out a sign, "what am I getting myself into." he muttered to himself as he looked around the bathroom. For a second he felt completely lost. It had been years since he had been in a bathroom. Walking over to the bath and tried to turn it on, after five minutes he managed to and went to work getting all the dirt and mud off of him, and their was a lot.
Miriam watched him as he smiled at her and nodded her head as his comment. "No problem. Anytime." Her eyes stayed on him before he went into the bathroom quickly. She looked at the closed door with a confused expression before looking down and walking away. 'Did I do something to upset him? Probably.' The brunette went back to the kitchen and made herself some cereal as she tried to think about what had happened between them. Miriam's common sense was still throwing a tantrum as she ignored it and sighed. Her eyes closed as she finished her cereal and went back to the living room. She looked at the living room and got out the vacuum cleaner to get the dirt that fell off of her guest.
Ben sighed as he found himself just relaxing in the heat of the shower and wondered how he could live without it. Sure he was always warm but it still felt good. Stepping out of the shower, he quickly shook himself dry like he normally did but then realized something. He had forgotten to bring clean clothing in. Cursing softly, he headed over to the door and peeked out. He could see his bag just down the way and by the smell and sound of it she was in the kitchen. As quietly and quickly as he could, he bolted out of the bathroom, grabbed his bag and was back in teh bathroom before anyone knew what was going on. Smiling to himself, he pulled on his best pair of pants and shirt. He then brushed his teeth and comed his chair before heading out. When he saw MIriam she was cleaning up the dirt he had left and frowned, he wished he hadn't been so dirty. Yet he smiled and walked over to her, "so, what do you want to do now?" he asked since he had no idea want to do in a house anymore.
After seeing him walking towards her, Miriam turned off the vacuum and smiled back at him. She blushed as she looked him over and brushed her hair back as she looked at the vacuum as she wrapped up the cord. "I don't know. We could just watch a movie or something if you wanted to." Her eyes went to him as she left to put the vacuum back in the cleaning closet where she got it. "Is there anything you'd like to do?" Being this close to him, there were several things she wanted to do but she had just met him not even an hour ago. 'Why am I so attracted to him?' She asked herself as she walked over to the movie collection they had. Miriam stood a foot or so from him as her heart raced. The brunette did not want to get too attached to the guy because he seemed likely to not stick around long.
Ben smiled at her when he heard the word movie, "a movie sounds great, in truth I dont really remember the last time I have seen a movie." he said as he looked at her and wathced as she headed over to the movies. Being so close to her made something in him go crazy. If he didn't have good control over himself now, he was sure he would of tried kissing her now. But he couldn't get attached, it was dangerous. Forcing himself to look at the movies, he sighed, "so which movie is good? I haven't seen any of them since they dont look familiar to me." he said as he found his eyes back on her and this time he let himself watch her. Something about her just made him want to be close, but it was dangerous.
Her cheeks filled with color as she could feel his eyes on her as she stood near the movies. Miriam looked at him as he looked over which movies they had on the shelf. "Well, what kind do you like? Comedy, Drama, Horror, Romance?" She asked him as her eyes stayed on him as she blushed. The brunette said nothing else as they stood there watching each other. Wanting to move closer to him, Miriam fought herself and stood where she was not wanting to make him uncomfortable. Being alone with him made it even more tempting for the brunette for some reason.
Ben found himself getting slowly lot in her eyes, they were beautiful and enchanting. As he watched her, he found himself breathing iin deeply, trying to make sure that he had her sent so that he could find her again. Yet as he caught the movies out of the corner of his eyes he shaped out of it. "uh.. how about comedy or romance." he said as he tried not to stare again. Besides it wans't like he was going to be with her or something like that. He wasn't what should be with humans, he was only a monster.
She blushed when he snapped them both out of the staring contest and looked away from him. Miriam turned to the movies and looked at all the movie titles, narrowing it down to the comedies and romance movies she liked. "Well, animation or real actors?" Her arms crossed under her chest as she tried to think of which she was in the mood for. On that thought her heart answered it for her. "I'm in the mood for romance if you want to." She spoke softly as her gaze stayed on the movies in front of her. Miriam did not care about the movie anymore, she was now telling him about her. But would he run from her or stay, even though it seemed too soon for romance.
Ben smiled when he heard her and guessed that was what they were going to do. "sounds good to me, it has been a while since I have seen any romance." he said as he thought on his real life with that. He had stayed so far away from people that seeing anything romantic had become very rare to him. "and how about if we go with real actors, makes it feel more real." he said and made sure that he didn't look at her, he didn't risk it. Yet as he stood their, his stomach growled and he blushed slightly, "uh.. would it be okay if I grabbed something to eat?" he asked as he looked towards the kitchen.
Miriam blushed as she heard him answer her and smiled as she looked at the movie titles. "Real, it is then." Her eyes on him as she pulled a movie from the shelf and brushed her hair behind her ear. She heard his stomach growl and nodded to him. "Of course. Help yourself." The brunette put the movie in the DVD player before sitting down on the far end of the couch. The opening menu of "The Phantom of the Opera" appeared on the scene and the music started to play. Humming with the song, Miriam blushed as she waited for him to come back.
Ben headed off to the kitchen and smiled as he started to sniff around. Something smelled really good and he really wanted to find it. Opening up the fridge, he couldn't help but be happy to see all the food. It had been forever since he had seen half the food in here. Quickly finding the bread, he made a pepperoni, cheese, ham, hotdog, pickles, mustard, and apple sandwich. Licking his lips, he found that he ate it in one bite. Making another and also popcorn, he headed back to the living room and smiled when he saw her. "brought popcorn." he said as he sat down and set the popcorn between them and kept his sandwich. Looking at the movie he smiled, "I think I might of heard of this." he said as he tried to remember where he had heard of it before. Yet he got distracted by her humming and though that her voice sounded like song birds.
Her eyes went to him as she heard him come back from the kitchen and stopped humming when he came back. "Find something you like?" Miriam asked as she took the bag of popcorn in her lap and blushed as she smiled. "Thanks for making popcorn, Ben." She said as she pressed the play button on the remote as she curled up on her end of the couch. "It's a classic movie so you might have heard someone talk about it. I like it." The brunette moved a little closer so he could have some popcorn if he wanted. "Popcorn?"
Ben nodded as he sat down and smiled, "yeah I made a sandwich, and then another." he said as he held it up. He was happy with his prize and in a matter of seconds that sandwitch was gone just like the last one. When he heard her he smiled, "I think I remember my mother liked classic's." he said as he tried to think back on it but decided to stop. If it delt with his mother he didn't want to deal with it right now. Thinking about his mother wouldn't be good. When she offered him popcorn, he moved closer and smiled, "sure." he said before eating some and watching the movie. So far he liked it.
She raised an eyebrow at his sandwich but smiled as he ate it. "I'm glad you found something you liked." Miriam looked at him as he mentioned his mother. "Your mother, Ben?" Her eyes on him as she reached up to touch his face. "I'm here if you want to talk, Ben." The brunette said as 'The Music of the Night' started to play and he moved closer to her. "I will listen, Ben. Believe me." Miriam asked him as she ignored the movie and the popcorn in between them. She waited for his answer as her need to be with him was unable to be ignored anymore...
Ben was surprised when he felt er touch his face and found himself leaning into hte touch. It was soft and caring, something he found himself craving right now. "I dont doubt that you will listen, the question is wheather it is good for me to talk about it." he said softly as he looked at her. "you see, I haven't been exactly the best child a mother could ask for. INfact I haven't spoken to her or my father for years. Sadly that is how it has to stay." he said softly as he closed his eyes. He knew he was talking too much but he couldn't help it around her, he found that he felt safe with her around and that he could talk to her about anything he wanted.
Miriam smiled as he leaned into her touch and stroked his cheek with her thumb as she listened to him. "If you don't want to, you don't have to." Her eyes stayed on him as she felt like she was forcing him to talk about something he didn't want to. She moved her hand from his face as she moved closer to him after setting his plate and the popcorn on the coffee table in front of the couch. The brunette sat next to him and listened as she watched him with mixed emotions in her eyes. "I lost my mother when I was little and my father is always working so I can understand not talking to your parents." Sitting a foot away from him, her heart started to beat faster as she wanted to comfort him, hold him, and hug him but she had to keep to herself so she did not make him uncomfortable.
Ben smiled as he felt her stroke his cheek with her thumb and he closed his eyes slightly, "thanks." he said softly yet when she pulled her hand away he frowned slightly. But it was only then that he realized how close she was and he didn't mind that at all now. When he heard her side, he found himself moving closer and wanting to wrap a arm around her or something. Yet he couldn't, he had to stay away from her, he was a monster and shouldn't be close to people. "guess we both dont have many people in this world." he said as he looked at her and felt like he should hug her or something. He then thought of something, "where is your father anyways? would he be mad if he found me here?" he asked.
Her eyes went to him and smiled as he moved closer to him. Miriam blushed and nodded as he said they didn't have many people in this world. "Yeah." She whispered as her eyes went to the movie on the TV, where the song "The Point of No Return" started to play on the screen. "He works most of the day and sometimes is gone for a few days. He'd be upset but I'll take care of him." The brunette said as she looked at him as her heart started to race. "Ben...do you have a girlfriend?" She said softly while looking away from him.
Ben listened to the song the movie was playing and smiled as he heard her words. "if he gets really mad I will just leave. I dont want to become a problem between you and your father." he said as he looked at her. He turned back to the movie yet his focuse on it was shot when he heard her question. He then could feel the heat off of her body and her sent seemed even more potent then before. Turning to her, he managed to shake his head, "no, I don't. I actually dont have many friends, a girlfriend or a family. I am just by myself." he said as he looked at her.
She heard him talk about leaving and shook her head. "I'll take care of my father, Ben. I don't want to you to go." Miriam blushed as she looked at him and placed her hand on his chest. "Please, Ben. I want you to stay here." Her eyes stayed on him as she moved her hand from his chest. "I understand we only met a few hours ago but...there is something about you that I like." The brunette looked down as she blushed.
Ben was surprised when he heard her and felt her hand on his chest. IN that instant he just wanted to pull her close and her sent was driving the other side of him crazy. As he looked into her eyes, he slowly nodded, "fine, I wont leave." he said before he realized what he had said and then stood up abruptly. Backing away from her slightly he wondered what he was going to do, "but it is dangerous. I mean I know what you mean but I am not exactly what I seem. I shouldn't stay even if I want too." he said as he tried to make sense of what to do.
Miriam smiled as he said he wouldn't leave but grew scared as he stood up. "What do you mean, Ben?" Her eyes on him as he backed away from her as she tried not to cry. "Then leave if you want to." She said before walking to the kitchen and taking his plate with her. The brunette placed his plate in the sink before standing there and wondering why she felt like her heart is breaking.
