@ Liz - Ah... interesting...
Poet actually had to google a few when they took them.

I prefer the term "Aspie" personally, because it's cuter XD
Anyone I talk about AS with calls it "Ass Burger" =.=

Yeah but I wasn't talking about that term. :S Although that one I kind of dislike too but not as much. :-/

Anyways I think I might have ADHD too but they ruled it out. :S I can focus but not as good as I use to because of medications. [cry] I use to have a fantastic attention span till I started taking psych meds.

The Wandering Poet 10-13-2012 08:07 PM

@ Liz - Well from looking it up, apparently "Aspie" is an endearing term for Aspergers. Like something a mother would refer to their child.

Bleh poet will never take meds. There is usually a non-medical approach to things.

Dottie Mae Evans 10-13-2012 08:21 PM

-_-; I guess you want me to say the word Neurotypical (shortned to NT) then. There I said it and I feel like dirt for saying it. It is the word 'Aspies' use to call everyday/normal people. So yeah... I dislike the word because it sounds kind of harsh and degrading. Why would one want to be called a Windows networking device? :S

The Wandering Poet 10-13-2012 08:27 PM

Neurotypical? Gosh I haven't said or heard that in a long time...
I think it's more of a compliment sort of. Neurologically typical. Meaning "normal" person.

It's really only harsh if you use it harshly. It's really the equivalent of when I say "you people" XD which I say irl a lot

Windows Networking Device? (WND?) What is this being compared to?

Dottie Mae Evans 10-13-2012 08:43 PM

Hm... maybe it's just me then. :S When I heard the word 'Neurotypical', it makes me think of Windows Networking. XD!

I see your point though. I just don't like the word, I just find it an insult for some reason. Maybe that's just me. lol

Don't mind me, poet I take things to heart too much. [no]

Anyways... I had some Watermelon with some feta cheese, I know that might sound unappetizing to some, but if made right, it can taste good.

The Wandering Poet 10-13-2012 08:45 PM

Neurotypicals tend to take offense to it for some reason even though it's just a medically positive term XD
Honestly I'd be happy to be a neurotpical... I'd love to make sense of people o.o

That's alright, you're entitled to your opinion here ^.^

Watermelon and cheese? Like... baked watermelon?

Dottie Mae Evans 10-13-2012 08:49 PM

Nope the watermelon is fresh and it is made into a makeshift salad. [heart] I also added some vinaigrette dressing (a fruit kind of course).

Then I added some celery too. It tasted really good. :) I did have to crumble the feta cheese.

The Wandering Poet 10-13-2012 08:58 PM

Minus the vinaigrette that sounds delicious [drool]

Yes it is, just add a little dash of Kosher Salt just for taste. [heart]

Hm... now I wait for dinner or maybe munch on more food. Maybe I'll wait for dinner, although the Hummus looks good too.

The Wandering Poet 10-13-2012 10:04 PM

salt and watermelon... that sounds oddly good... but I want to try baked watermelon for some reason XD

Baked Watermelon? [shock] I never seen one baked and would it melt when it's baked? Hm...

The Wandering Poet 10-13-2012 11:39 PM

Well it'd take out most of the water... but it'd be interesting

Dottie Mae Evans 10-14-2012 01:01 AM

I see, I wonder what it would taste like. ^_^; I hope watermelon fans won't be sad about it. [;)]

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 02:15 AM

*raises hand* I'm a watermelon fan. I actually love dried out watermelon [drool]

Dottie Mae Evans 10-14-2012 02:17 AM

Hm... dried-out watermelon... I wonder what that tastes like? I tasted dried mango and it was good. [heart]

Freeze dry watermelon. [shock] That's only a dream I say, a dream!

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 02:23 AM

Well not completely dried... but I've had it mostly dry, just was a watermelon lacking in water, it was a very flavorful watermelon

That must have been good. [:D] I should try to find some more watermelon but I am not good at picking them. [cry] So I just let my granddad do the picking. lol He knows when they're ripe.

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 07:23 PM

Hello!
Just to intrude on your conversation,
I have never heard of a dried watermelon but now I'd like to try it.
x3

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 07:41 PM

I can never tell when a watermelon is ripe... I just eat it

@ Butt - Ooh if you do tell us~! :D

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 07:43 PM

I didn't say this before, Poet, but your avatar is simply.. DIVINE!
Haha, I just wanted to use the word divine.
[heart]

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 07:47 PM

I think it's the opposite of divine... [ninja] it is evil after all... [lol]
But thanks for the compliment ^.^

Same here. If one isn't ripe, it doesn't taste the same as a ripe one though. [gonk] A good watermelon makes one want to eat the whole melon.

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 08:16 PM

I think I like berries the best though. [heart]

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 08:21 PM

Blueberries straight off the bush [drool] best food ever.

@ Liz - [ninja] You're not supposed to?

Of course I can't eat the rind. :S But if the watermelon is ripe, you won't have the waste all the goodness of the edible part. ^_^;

If you don't get a ripe one, you might have to throw most of it out, since it isn't a good idea to eat a watermelon when it isn't ripe.
