Ava: Yeah the strawberry raspberry one is very nice, and it's a herbal one so it doesn't require milk. :) Good thing since we run out of milk like crazy sometimes.

Poet: Ah that sounds pretty awesome. Expensive class?

The Wandering Poet 04-22-2015 01:32 AM

Yeah expensive. It's going to cost about $10,000 so far.

MedievalBeauty 04-23-2015 01:44 AM

Holy shit!, that's alot. Well I hope it all goes well.

The Wandering Poet 04-23-2015 06:30 AM

I hope so too ^^

That was kinda my response too...

MedievalBeauty 04-23-2015 08:53 AM

Yeah, understandable though, but if its worth then so be it.

The Wandering Poet 04-23-2015 05:04 PM

Well, once I can be a pharmacy Assistant I'll get $2 an hour more, and $3 more than that once I'm a Pharmacy Technician. Then from there who knows o.o I hear they make 40k a year but their commercial isn't backed by any proof.

MedievalBeauty 04-26-2015 02:31 AM

Ah okay, either way I'm it will be something that you will enjoy which is good.

The Wandering Poet 04-27-2015 06:55 PM

Well anything is better than my current job. They wont stop calling me in the morning... I've told them no mornings. >.<

MedievalBeauty 04-29-2015 08:35 AM

Ah that's not good, and I hope you are able to get another a job, and at a much better one at that.

The Wandering Poet 04-29-2015 03:13 PM

Well... I'm learning about a lot of things I'm not so wanting to do, but otherwise at least I'll be able to support myself.
Thing is, flu shots will be required yearly :(

Yeah... they always want me to work the days I'm either already working or already said no to [lol]

LiviInLove 04-30-2015 06:29 AM

Flu shots always make me feel crappy... :/ I don't like them. Plus I always usually end up getting sick anyways, with the flu... soooo yeah.... Boo to getting sick. I get sick a lot - thanks kiddos! xD LOL! I still love them though! But they bring home lots of germies that love to get mum sick when we go to play group! [yes]

The Wandering Poet 04-30-2015 06:49 AM

I don't mind shots, I just haven't had the flu since I was a kid.
Though I intend to do an extensive amount of research as to what is in it prior, after all I am learning about this stuff [yes]

I have a preference toward natural remedies.

LiviInLove 04-30-2015 07:19 AM

That's totally understandable!

I try to go natural as much as possible, myself. Sometimes though - I can't stick with natural remedies only and I have to take meds and whatnot. :/ Stupid sicknesses. At least the meds managed to help me get past my latest sickness, not quite back to 100% yet, but I'm getting closer! :D

The Wandering Poet 05-01-2015 12:33 AM

I'm rarely ever sick besides food poisoning from people... so I don't usually worry about it [lol]

At least meds these days don't have as much weird stuff in them.

MedievalBeauty 05-01-2015 10:11 AM

Speaking of flu shots, I need to have one at my next appointment.

The Wandering Poet 05-02-2015 12:33 AM

I'll probably get mine in September or somewhere around there.

Ava The Vampire 05-02-2015 01:05 AM

I don't think I've ever gotten a flu shot.
I'm scared of vaccinations because I saw a strange video one time of a woman who got a vaccination and she couldn't walk anymore. The only way she could walk was if she walked backwards, as walking forward caused her to seize up and fall to the floor.

It was scary!
Ever since then I've been scared of vaccinations, but I know that situation was a one in a million thing.

The Wandering Poet 05-02-2015 01:16 AM

Well, given the field I'm going into, I will pretty much be able to dissect the ingredients of a flu shot and see if anything unsafe is in it. [yes]

That sounds more like a violent allergic reaction, that or brain damage... and I don't think the flu shot does that.

Inzanebraned 05-03-2015 12:40 AM

I find that swallowing spoonfuls of honey throughout the days that I am sick makes me get well quicker....especially with colds.
Local honey is best....offering protection from allergies, too.
Honey has antibacterial properties....we have even seen relief from an abscessed tooth from applying honey to the affected tooth!
I'm not fond of vaccinations, but I take a flu shot every year...cuz I care for my disabled daughter and she has a higher risk if she were exposed to the flu virus.
I usually watch in fascination as I'm given shots or having blood drawn! Lol!

The Wandering Poet 05-03-2015 12:46 AM

Honey is wonderful. It's always good to prevent damage from coughing too.

Caring for someone with a compromised immune system is definitely a good reason to to get shots [yes] especially since the anti-vacs movement is causing major outbreaks of a lot of diseases.

Ava The Vampire 05-03-2015 01:45 AM

I love honey! Especially local honey. :) [drool]

I always get my honey in bulk at my local co-op and it's so amazing. I always enjoy eating spoonfuls of honey when I have a sore throat, or mixing honey and water and putting it over my lips when they are chapped.

EvilPagemistress 05-03-2015 12:06 PM

Honey is awesome :) Hot lemon drinks with a good teaspoonful of honey is a surefire way to deal with sore throats :D I also use a gargle type solution, which tastes horrible (even when diluted in water!), but does the trick :D

The Wandering Poet 05-03-2015 07:06 PM

Eck... gargle solution? How do people use that without accidentally swallowing?

EvilPagemistress 05-04-2015 10:53 AM

Y'know, that's a very good question ^^; I guess you've just got to be very, VERY careful when gargling it :D

MedievalBeauty 05-05-2015 07:12 AM

I love honey as well, never tried the gargling solution though.
