MedievalBeauty 07-06-2015 11:32 PM

Haha, I agree with you there! :P Some people just don't get that, apparently.

This is why I give them as much space as they need

MedievalBeauty 07-07-2015 04:38 AM

Haha I like that picture you put up. Its funny.

LiviInLove 07-07-2015 05:24 AM

I so needed a shirt that said that during all three pregnancies!! :P

Soph has decided that she doesn't like walking and pretty much for the most part skipped walking and went straight into running everywhere. xDD She does trip over her feet often though!

MedievalBeauty 07-07-2015 05:31 AM

Awww that's so adorable.

LiviInLove 07-07-2015 03:04 PM

I swear it's like sleep makes them act like they're on a sugar rush in the morning - way too much energy. Both girls. [lol]

How're you all doing?

The Wandering Poet 07-07-2015 03:29 PM

Well, since they are growing kids none of their food is being turned into fat. All of it is just getting turned into sugar.

LiviInLove 07-07-2015 08:10 PM

Yeah - just is exhausting for me. If it wasn't so hot, we'd head over to the park.

The Wandering Poet 07-07-2015 09:02 PM

Ooh, parks are a fantastic way to wear out kids [yes]

MedievalBeauty 07-07-2015 09:39 PM

Im good thanks, have to get a glucose tolerance test today, and the test goes for two hours.

The Wandering Poet 07-07-2015 10:20 PM

Glucose tolerance? What kind of test do they do? I'd think given the body makes gluten it'd be hard to be intolerant to it

MedievalBeauty 07-08-2015 07:28 AM

Its a blood test to test for diabetes during pregnancy. Total of 3 blood tests, 1 for control, and 2 more after drinking this strong sugary drink, to see how the body reacts to sugar.

Kirin Rosenbaum 07-08-2015 11:58 AM

Hello everybody.

MedievalBeauty 07-08-2015 02:09 PM

Hey Kirin, how are you going?

The Wandering Poet 07-08-2015 03:21 PM

Ah. I should have known I learned about that in class last month [lol]
I've heard of those tests... they can get a bit dangerous I hear.

MedievalBeauty 07-09-2015 12:14 AM

Yeah true; just depends on the person I guess. I was fine, but I know my body can handle sugar, because atleast once a week, I crave chocolate or ice cream. So, if I really have diabetes, I dont my body would handle it.

The Wandering Poet 07-09-2015 01:35 AM

I've worked with clients that eat like that while diabetic. I mean as long as you are otherwise a responsible eater it shouldn't have too much of an impact.

Also, the darker the chocolate the less sugar will be in it.

MedievalBeauty 07-09-2015 11:09 AM

Ive been tested for diabetes before but they want to double check it during pregnancy, which is fair enough. The lady that did the blood tests was a bit rough and I have a few bruises now.

The Wandering Poet 07-09-2015 08:51 PM

That's a shame. If you go into the medical field you need to be really careful. I've seen medications get poorly dispensed because someone was careless, and had caused some meds to be missed.

People who draw blood though need to be the most careful... so many people complain of poorly done jobs.

Seems fair enough to be tested. I know there is a form of diabetes that can be developed exclusively during pregnancy.

MedievalBeauty 07-10-2015 02:57 AM

Yeah I think its called gestational diabetes or something, apparently goes away after pregnancy. Yes that's true, oh well a bruise is nothing major.

The Wandering Poet 07-10-2015 04:27 AM

Gestational diabetes sounds about right... [headdesk] teacher talked about it like last week I should know this stuff D:

MedievalBeauty 07-10-2015 06:56 AM

Yeah true, hard to remember all the information, but for me google is my friend lol. Haha
