"Good." Tina leaned up a bit and kissed him properly.

The sudden kiss surprised Gold, but he relaxed into it easily enough. He kind of liked that Tina was being a bit demanding in her kisses.

Tina pulled back slowly, a bit pink, but grinned.

"Still don't see any smiting happening," she teased.

"Curious," Gold commented, allowing a small smile in return.

Tina snorted and settled in there for the night, one arm curled around him not-quite-possessively.

Gold just smiled a bit and pulled her closer, letting her settle in. He would keep watch for the night.

Tina woke quickly after sunrise and got up, getting ready to go again.

"So how do we find the other two?"

Hook didn't wake Rachel until an hour or so after sunrise, figuring she could use the rest.

"Unless you happen to have something that belongs to one of them, I'm afraid it'll have to be the old-fashioned way," Gold said. "I wouldn't trust a general tracking spell on this island. There's no telling where it might lead us."

Rachel groaned a bit when she woke up.

"Trees are not the best sleeping spots," she said as she stretched a little. "I have no idea how Thumbelina could sleep in them."

Tina sighed but nodded. "Alright. Hard way it is," she muttered, moving out of the cave and scrambling up the nearest tree.

"I suspect she's part plant herself," Hook said with a little grin. "She's the only one that can get comfortable in the things that I've ever heard of."

"Thumbelina came from a magic flower," Rachel pointed out as she got out of the tree hollow to really stretch. "So she might be."

Gold kept an eye on their surroundings as Tina scaled the tree. She would let him know if she saw anything, he knew.

Hook snorted but moved out of the tree as well, looking around. No sign of life. Good and bad. "Well, I guess for now we'll just have to start looking."

Tina slid back down a few minutes later, brushing off her palms. "Nothing. Nothing visible, anyway."

"We may as well pick a direction, then," Rachel said. "I don't know where the other two ended up."

"That doesn't mean that nothing is out there," Gold said. "We should be careful regardless."

Hook nodded. "Well, then, shall we?" He motioned in a direction. He had no idea where the other would be, which made things more difficult.

Tina nodded. "Right. Well, pick where you want to go, I guess."

"Let's go," Rachel said, nodding. "See what we can find."

"We should find some higher ground," Gold said. "Try to get a good look at everything." He gestured towards the left. "This way. The cliffs should suffice."

Hook nodded and took the lead, starting to walk. Since he wasn't entirely sure where they were, he needed to find some kind of landmark first.

Tina nodded and let him lead, since she had no idea what she was doing. She trudged along behind him, partially to keep an eye on him and make sure his leg was okay.

Rachel stayed close to him, glancing around warily. She got the feeling they were being watched, but she couldn't find the ones watching them and that put her on edge.

Gold knew Tina was keeping an eye on him.

"I'm fine, you know," he said.

Hook had a similar feeling, and so stuck close to Rachel, glancing around. There were plenty of places for Lost Boys to hide in these woods. The fact that they weren't being shot at made him wary.

"Uh huh." Tina was quiet for a moment. "You look fine. But I'm going to keep an eye on you anyway."

"You don't need to," Gold said. "I can handle things myself."

"You have a habit of not telling anyone when something bothers you," Tina pointed out. "I think I'm allowed to keep an eye on you for myself."

"Tina..." Gold sighed. "I can't let it bother me, not here. I'll deal with the consequences when we get home again."

"How about we'll deal with it when we get home," Tina said, giving him a bit of a Look.

Gold sighed, but he knew better than to argue with Tina on a subject like this.

"Yes, of course," he said. "But for now, let me handle it."

Tina nodded and didn't say anything else, instead just following him. She kept half her attention on him anyway, listening to everything around them in case something tried to sneak up on them.

Gold continued on, clearing the path for Tina to follow. He also kept an eye on the plants they passed; most were harmless, but he didn't want to come across any Dreamshade. He knew Tina would be curious about it, and that was something he didn't need.

Tina didn't spot any of the Dreamshade, not yet anyway. But she did pause once or twice at more harmless plants. She didn't stray far from Gold though, not until they got up to the cliffs. Then she started looking around.
