Rachel snickered.
"Yeah, I bet," she said. "Though it's probably not a bad thing." |
"Probably," Tina agreed. "I can admit that climbing while pregnant is probably not a good thing. But that doesn't make me pout over it any less when I can get away with it."
Rachel couldn't help but laugh a bit at that.
"Although I bet the pouting never works, does it?" |
"Nope." Tina paused. "Well, okay, once in a great while, depending on the topic, it works. Increasingly frequently."
"Good to know," Rachel said. "Definitely good to know." She grinned. "Now just imagine if the baby turns out to be a girl."
Tina laughed. "She will be the most spoiled thing on the face of the planet," she said with a grin. "It will be absolutely adorable."
"No kidding," Rachel said, grinning. "Then again, the baby's probably going to be spoiled all to hell either way."
"Probably," Tina agreed with an easy grin. "Not even going to try to stop that."
"Too much of a hassle?" Rachel asked, grinning as well. She leaned back some. "I doubt Killian's thought about kids. We haven't even gotten far enough to even consider it."
Tina nodded. "Yeah. I'd imagine kids would be hard on a ship, you'd probably have to have a house somewhere, at least part-time," she said. "I doubt he's ready for that yet."
"Yeah," Rachel agreed. "Although we haven't even..." She blushed a bit as she trailed off.
Tina nodded. "Just hasn't seemed right?" she guessed. "Or there hasn't been time? Or you're not quite ready to?"
"All three, sort of?" Rachel replied, still a bit pink. "I mean, we're already tiptoeing around the crew some, and I like what we have now, and I guess I'm just... not quite ready for it yet."
Tina nodded. "Yeah, I understand. It's fine. You don't have to go any further." She smiled a bit. "Especially if you're both happy already."
Rachel nodded.
"I'm happy," she said. "And I'm pretty sure Killian is. Or if he isn't, he hasn't said anything about it to me." She looked slightly worried. |
"You'd notice if he wasn't," Tina said, shaking her head. "He wouldn't be able to hide that from you."
Rachel nodded a bit.
"You're probably right," she said. "I just hate the thought that he might be unhappy because of me." |
"I doubt seriously that he would be. I mean, True Love and all, makes it really kinda hard to be unhappy." Tina shrugged. "But you can always ask him if you want."
"I might, just so we're on the same page on the subject," Rachel said. Stretching a bit, she reached for the shampoo to start washing out her hair.
Tina grinned and moved to help her. "One good thing about short hair, doesn't take nearly as much care," she said. "I'm lucky."
Rachel grinned and rolled her eyes a bit.
"Yeah, but if I let it get longer, my magic will get even stronger," she said. "As it stands, I've actually got some power, as far as I can tell. Nothing like Gold, but still." |
"There are very few people with power like Gold, and there is a very good reason for that," Tina pointed out.
"If I was willing to let my hair get long enough, I could do it," Rachel said. "Though I really don't want my hair any longer than it is, so I'm not."
"Yeah but can you imagine how long you'd have to let your hair get? It would take up a whole damn room." Tina shook her head.
"Yeah," Rachel said. "Not worth it, not even for phenomenal cosmic power." She grinned a it. "And for now, I need to get what I have all washed out and conditioned."
