"I'm sure. It's not a big deal. I'll fill up the car, rent a trailer if I have to, and bring everything down here." Tina shrugged. "I should only be gone two or three days, anyway. And I know you hate it when I stuff the car like I'm going to, so it'll be easier if you stay here."

"Alright," Rachel said reluctantly. "But call me if you need help, alright? I'll figure out how to get there."

"Don't worry about it, I'm sure I'll be fine." Tina smiled. "Now let's go move this stuff over there and get the ingredients so I can make cookies tonight."

"Yes, ma'am," Rachel said teasingly, giving her friend a mock-salute.

Tina snickered and shook her head, handing the keys over to Rachel so she could drive the car over to the new apartment. She went to the store and got ingredients for dinner and for the cookies, walking back to their new apartment to help unload and get cooking.

Rachel took the keys and headed down to the new apartment. With any luck, she would have the car mostly unloaded by the time Tina got back with the food.

Tina helped her unload the last of the things in the car, and then got her room set up as much as she could with what little she had. And then she settled into cooking for the rest of the afternoon, making two batches of cookies and dinner for them.

Rachel had just as little to set up as Tina had, and spent the rest of her afternoon watching her friend cook.

The next morning Tina was all ready to go with two little bags of cookies to go with her. "I've got my phone and I have a list of everything we'll need," she said, grinning briefly at Rachel. "I've got duffel bags and I'll pick up cardboard boxes somewhere along the way so I can pack. Shouldn't take me more than a day or two, and then I'll be back. You should have enough cookies to see you through the next few days."

Rachel grinned.

"I love how you assume I'll binge on the cookies," she said teasingly.

Tina laughed. "You always do when I leave cookies and go camping," she teased. "I come back and the cookies are just gone."

"I didn't say you were wrong," Rachel pointed out, grinning. "I just love how you just assume it now."

Tina snickered and shook her head, going over to hug Rachel briefly. "Stay out of trouble," she reminded her, mock-sternly.

"I'll try," Rachel replied. "As long as you do the same."

"No problem." Tina headed for the door, pausing to look back at her again. "Call me if anything comes up, okay?"

"I will, I promise," Rachel said. "Especially if I remember anything else."

Tina nodded. "Alright. I'll see you in a few days." Still grinning she headed down to her car, and then paused once she was in the car, deciding to make a brief stop on her way out of town.

So a few minutes later she parked outside the pawn shop and made her way inside, one of the two bags of cookies in hand.

Gold was back in his office when the bell rang, and he was in the middle of putting something delicate back together, so he didn't go out into the shop right away.

Tina moved over to the counter but she didn't feel comfortable enough to go back into his office uninvited. So instead she pulled out a piece of notebook paper and set one of the bags of cookies on the counter.

Mr. Gold,

We moved into the apartment last night so I baked cookies. I don't know if you like cookies, but here are some to try. I'll be gone for a few days, so try not to let too much happen until I get back.

Signing the note quickly, Tina left it next to the cookies and turned to leave.

Gold managed to get out of his office just before Tina made it to the door.

"Leaving so soon?" he asked her. He glanced over and saw the cookies on the counter. "What are these for?"

"I baked a bunch of them last night to test out the oven. They're fine, I swear. Rachel's already had three or four." Tina grinned. "I'm on my way to go get the rest of our stuff from our old apartment so we can move in properly."

"Decided to stay in town, have we?" Gold asked. "I take it the apartment search went well?"

"Yeah, everything went well. I wish the kitchen was a bit bigger but it's better than nothing." Tina shrugged.

"Ah, well, I suppose some things must be sacrificed sometimes," Gold said. He nodded his head to her a bit. "Have a safe trip back to your old apartment."

"Thanks. I'll see you in a few days." Tina grinned briefly at him and headed over to the door again so she could get going.
