Tina nodded. "Yeah, there's a patch there. And there's a whole field of these--" she paused to point at another flower "--less than an hour from here, and that vine grows really well by the lake half a day away."
"I knew about those two," Gold said. "But the first is new. You will have to show me where it is."
"Sure. It's a bit of a hike, but it's not far, so." Tina shrugged. "I could probably start a garden for you if I went and got some fresh trimmings, most of these are pretty easy to keep."
That made Gold stop and consider for a moment. A garden wasn't a bad idea, but he never had the patience for one. Tina, however... She might be able to keep one. It was something to think about.
"Perhaps," he said vaguely. |
Tina smiled, pleased with the idea of having a garden, and made a list of all the plants he had around before thinking of other useful things she could plant.
Gold let her think about gardening; he was just about finished replacing what he had used earlier. Luckily, nothing was too terribly hard to re-enchant.
Tina wandered back over to him after a bit, content to just watch him work for a while.
Elsewhere, Rachel was settling in for the night, finally relaxing on the ship.
Hook came down below after he made sure everything was well on the ship, moving over to her.
"Alright, love?" he asked quietly. |
"Better," Rachel admitted as she got comfortable. She was quiet for a moment. "Thanks," she said at last. "For coming to find me."
Hook smiled a little. "I'm not letting you get away from me so easily now," he said quietly, watching her. "Not now."
Rachel blushed a bit.
"What changed?" she asked. "I hear there was a time you wouldn't have cared." |
"True," Hook admitted. "There was a time you were just one of them." He shrugged. "You're not anymore."
"Why not?" Rachel pressed. She wanted to know what had changed.
Hook shrugged. "You talked to me, eventually," he admitted quietly. "Most people don't bother to take the time to look for anything beyond my standing and reputation."
"You talked to me, first," Rachel pointed out, smiling a bit. "Wouldn't shut up, in fact." She moved a bit closer to him. "Nobody had ever been that determined before."
"Yes, well, determination does pay off." Hook grinned, settling in a little closer to her.
Rachel hummed softly in agreement and hesitantly cuddled a bit closer to him.
Hook draped an arm over her, keeping her there. Hey, he decided he liked that, and she hadn't hit him for it yet.
After a moment, Rachel decided she liked it, too, and cuddled a bit closer.
Hook smirked, content for the moment, and settled down there.
Without meaning to, Rachel drifted off against him, finally relaxing enough to sleep.
"Alright, I'm going to visit Rachel." Tina looked at Gold for a minute. "And I think we need to come to an agreement about a few things."
"You're not going," Gold said in a tone that said that it wasn't up for debate, looking at her. "I don't want you anywhere near that waste of breath pirate."
"I couldn't care less about the pirate, I want to see Rachel." Tina crossed her arms over her chest. "And this is why we need to come to an agreement about some things."
