Tina smiled a bit and nodded. "That's fine, I don't mind that." She relaxed a bit, taking one of his hands. "See, it works out rather nicely when we talk rather than me sneaking out and you tracking me, huh?"
"Indeed," Gold replied. He tried to convince himself that a few days wouldn't be so bad.
"It'll just be a few days," Tina said, since he still seemed a little tense. "Just to get rid of the itch. I'll try to stay out of trouble."
"I'm still going to keep an eye on you, so to speak," Gold said. "Just in case."
"Of course. I expect no less from you by now." Tina smiled a bit. "I'll go throw a few things in a bag before I go."
Gold nodded a bit.
"I'll see to it your garden is taken care of while you're gone." |
"Thank you." Tina moved around the table to kiss his cheek before she headed up to her room to grab a few things.
Gold let her go, watching as she left. Already, the castle seemed a little emptier.
Tina grabbed her things and went back to let Gold put the tracking spell on her before she left, heading towards the ship for the moment. She figured she'd start there and see if Rachel wanted to go with her.
Rachel was getting a bit stir-crazy herself. She didn't mind being on the ship, and she wasn't unfamiliar with being stuck in one place, but she'd had a taste of freedom while under the curse and now she wanted to move around a bit more.
Tina arrived a little before dark, since she'd left late.
"Rachel!" she called. "You there?" |
Rachel hadn't been expecting Tina to show up.
"What are you doing out here?" she asked, coming up on deck. |
"Taking a few days off to go exploring." Tina grinned. "I wanted to see if you want to come too. Not right now, obviously, it's too late to get much of anywhere tonight."
"Exploring?" Rachel asked, perking up a little. She'd been feeling a bit confined as well. "Exploring where?"
"Anywhere. I was thinking maybe go up the coast, maybe go visit that new town the others are setting up." Tina shrugged. "It's up to us where we go."
"I like the idea of going for a bit," Rachel admitted. "Traveling for a few days sounds nice."
"Great! We'll leave in the morning, then." Tina grinned. "I saw a nice tree back a bit so I'll spend the night there."
"In a tree?" Rachel asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Sure. Trees make good beds." Tina paused. "Well, for me, anyway. I wouldn't recommend that for you."
"I could never sleep in a tree," Rachel said, shaking her head a bit and grinning.
Tina just grinned. "I find it comfortable, but that's also me."
"You like trees so much you're practically an honorary dryad," Rachel teased.
Tina laughed. "Practically," she agreed easily. "Anyway, I'm going to go get something to eat and bed down for the night, so I'll come by and grab you in the morning."
"Alright, I'll see you then," Rachel said, nodding.
Tina grinned and retreated back to go find that nice tree so she could sleep.
And then she'd go get Rachel in the morning so they could get going. |
