Stockholm Sydrome is when one is a captive, intially excessive fear for their life, etc, but then a shift in worldview. They depend on the beforementioned captor and dominator as a provider, and eventually see their dominator's worldview as correct, going as far as to willingly be a human shield for them in front of the police.
