Notes: Right now it seems the haunt house is pretty quiet except for the bats flying around...the nearby graveyard on the other hand it looks like the zombies are rising and littering the place with bones.

Also, as I understand, obviously, Halloween is now over, and for plenty of the members, Halloween isn't a big deal in your area. So I added this note to the front~
Quote:

Note: This doesn't mean that you need the typical Halloween ingredients (pumpkin, etc...) to enter. In this case, the look of the dish would come into play.

Name of creation: Bloody Glazed Maggots ;D
Notes: Hi there, pretties. Would you like maggots with that?

What in the world?! Nah, just so I don't make you guys sick, the food is definitely not maggoty. xD It is white rice with a touch of hot sauce, a drop of red food coloring, and a tad bit of wonderful soy sauce. Tasted pretty nice. ;D

Anyway, I simply think if you want to gross someone out or even scare them, you could offer this at your Halloween party as a snack. [drool]

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 11-02-2012 10:23 AM

@Eirian: Great! Thanks for entering! 8D

iC[a]ndy: Sure, you can pose with your food. And alcohol is allowed. [yes]

@Velv: That second one, ewwww! [lol] How awesome! Thanks for the entries.

Bearzy 11-03-2012 12:05 AM

I'll enter this one, hopefully. I don't do enough cooking/baking anymore. It'll be good practice.

EirianHikari 11-03-2012 12:51 AM

Um, what is this?
Image: [ http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/...s/100_0792.jpg]
Name of creation: [ Pumpkin faced quiche ]
Notes: [ Well, of all the dishes I make at my home, I'm most famous for my quiche, and this is my own original recipe. The other day I got the idea to dress it up for Halloween, I knew it would be perfect for this contest!

Here's my recipe. [:)]

Ingredients:
1 9 in. pie crust (hand made or store bought is fine)
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cups, cream (if you don't have cream you can use evaporated milk, or even just plain milk. you can also replace the milk in this recipe with cream or evaporated milk.)
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
A dash of pepper
1 cup your favorite cheese

Instructions:
1. Pre heat the oven to 400 degrees, bake empty pie crust for 5 minutes. When the crust is done, turn oven down to 350 degrees.
2. In a mixing bowl, lightly beat the eggs till light and softly foamy.
3. Mix in cream, milk, salt, and pepper, mix till combine.
4. arrange cheese in to the pie crust and pour mixture over top.
5. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour, or until set.
6. Let cool, eat.

Now if you want to make in to a pumpkin design like I did, you'll need one more pie crust. Just cut out your desired shapes, brush with food colouring, and bake. I also sprinkled cheddar cheese over top before arranging my shapes on top.
