That is true Jelly... just because someone is in the proper weight zone doesn't mean they're healthy :)

llonka 11-06-2012 01:28 PM

Aww thanks jelly! I feel so loved now! [cry]

Oh yeah, i do forget about being healthy. I'm trying to buy healthier food, but it seems like when i make something that is really good health-wise, the boys won't eat it and complain. I'll just have to slowly start sneaking in healthy foods i guess.

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 05:32 PM

There's one method you can go depending on your kid's age. If you make "taco salad" kids love that stuff. Then you prepare all the ingredients separate and everyone gets to dish themselves up into a burrito, on chips, or as is. Then you could put some lettuce down instead of chips so it's healthier. Then they get what they want and you get what you want.

It may not be ultra healthy, but it's far better than eating out for sure.

Maria-Minamino 11-06-2012 09:02 PM

You just have to trick the kids - make healthier pizza with low fat ingredients and maybe add spinach to your portions. Like poet said, taco salads are fun for kids too!!

here I looked up fun and healthy recipes that kids would love:

Ooh home made pizza does wonders for a kid. Not only is it healthier but if they make it they know what's in it so they can't complain :D

Plus if it's got peppers and olives and stuff it shouldn't be too bad right?
Also poet uses Olive Oil instead of tomato paste to make it healthier as well

jellysundae 11-08-2012 07:51 PM

Most kids should enjoy making their own small pizza themselves, too [yes]

The Wandering Poet 11-08-2012 08:14 PM

So true... it's a must :D
I loved it growing up.

llonka 11-10-2012 03:15 PM

Seriously - this weekend go cut your hair and get some ingredients for a healthy and fun homemade kid and husband friendly pizza and have an awesome start to an awesome you :D

llonka 11-10-2012 04:59 PM

lol Maria. you made me giggle. [lol] that sounded kind of corny, but i love corny! [glomp]

what if the hair dresser just makes it worse though? and i just look like a fat person with short hair? [sosad]

neller 11-10-2012 10:03 PM

Darling...I can see that hair cut on you, with those beautiful side swooping bangs...you would look great! And trust me, you're not fat, so you can't look like a "fat person with short hair." Besides, the only thing you should worry about is yourself and making yourself happy. This hair cut seems to be something you really really want, so don't second guess yourself or wonder what others will think. Just GO FOR IT!

And there are a lot of healthy foods out there that kids will love. Just look up some recipes online and figure out your options! Maybe even disguise the healthy food. I'm sure you'll be able to find something everyone likes! Homemade pizza is a great idea! Just go easy with the cheese! :O

But my health class was discussing health weight loss and weight gain. But a healthy weight measurement to lose per week is 1-2 pounds, 6-8 pounds a month.

Congrats on your weight loss! I can't wait to see what your new hair cut will look like!

The Wandering Poet 11-10-2012 11:45 PM

Does your husband ever get to do things he enjoys?
If yes, just say "Well you spend $X on this, so I'm going to spend $X so I can be happy"

llonka 11-11-2012 02:43 AM

I got it done! [eager] hubby told me it's too short in the front. [sosad] i'll post a picture soon and see what you all think.

Thank you very much for the kind words neller. [hug]

The Wandering Poet 11-11-2012 02:46 AM

Meh, if you like it then he can wait until it grows out

llonka 11-11-2012 02:54 AM

the hairdresser wouldn't fix it so my bangs would fall right. she said she thought it looked cute with my natural part. [:P]

The Wandering Poet 11-11-2012 03:19 AM

I think it looks good like that, I agree with her ^^

Makes me think of a styled shorter version of hair 15 on here

llonka 11-11-2012 03:23 AM

hmm hair 15? *goes to check it out* [ninja]

Maria-Minamino 11-11-2012 05:53 PM

I like it llonka <3 very pretty! It suits your face better!!!

llonka 11-11-2012 06:03 PM

Thanks Maria! I got my bangs to fall better today. i'll have to get another picture.

The Wandering Poet 11-11-2012 08:17 PM

Yay more pictures ^^
I like getting to see the user behind the avi.

Based on your pictures though you have nothing to be ashamed of bodywise ^^
I think just 1 chin isn't that bad given a lot of the heavier people here have at least 3.

llonka 11-11-2012 08:37 PM

aww ok poet. i just want one chin though not two. [XP]

The Wandering Poet 11-11-2012 09:54 PM

Well, salads are a good option, I've been trying to figure out a healthy dressing... but all I can think of is Olive Oil instead of the ranch or something. Not sure how tasty it would be but olive oil is supposedly good for ya.

If I can find a tasty alternative to dressing I'll letcha know :3

llonka 11-12-2012 02:20 PM

Ok thank you Poet! You are so helpful and kind! [hug] I usually eat ranch. sometimes low fat, but usually regular.

---------- Post added 11-12-2012 at 09:51 AM ----------

I just have to say I actually feel really pretty today. I got my bangs to fall right and did my makeup a little different and i love it! [love]
