They aren't really legwarmers.... they're the shin protectors.

I'm enjoying my new bluetooth keyboard for my iPad. Expensive as hell, but it is sooo much easier to type responses. It's nice because I can take it out of the holder for it and do the other things with it...read books, draw, etc.

nice, I got my mom a keyboard case for her Ipad. I don't know if she has used it yet.

I got a Zagg. Fairly expensive, but it all fits nicely in the case and feels sturdy. You can buy the keyboards alone for about $50 but then there really isn't anything to stand it up on, or it had a slot to stand it up on but feels a bit top heavy. This feels just right and keeps everything protected, yet I can still pull it out and use it as a tablet. I have really loved how asthetically pleasing iOS is. I have seen other tablets running android or windows on it and quite personally I don't really care for it. It may be more customizeable, but it isn't as user friendly or as nice. This is coming from someone who use to hate apple too. :O

You should get one. They're expensive as I'll get out, but it definitely gets used A LOT. I prefer it over the computer, and I play on it and use it much more than any other electronic device, it seems. I like setting my ipod to play music and play some games on. It's honestly the iPad that gets much more use. <3

Yeah I would use it for causal browsing and play games and such xD my parents think i am crazy for wanting a 64gb of the older generation... not the new one with the retina thinger..

The only thing I'd be worried about is them trying to phase it out. My kids both had a 2nd gen and a lot of the app developers are phasing out support for anything that cannot support iOS 4.3...I have a feeling in time they will keep on raising that bar and making older devices obsolete. I think it sucks, but at the same time other companies do the same thing when it comes to other devices -- consoles anyone? That and this is so much more than just a gaming device that when it came down to it, once this becomes obsolete I would definitely want to get the newest one out.

The thing that sucks is I got the iPad 3 back in June-ish? Well I was reading something yesterday that back in October when they announced the new iPod 5th gen they also released news of bringing out the iPad 4. It has a slightly faster processor and uses the new lightning dock...I think that the camera is better...but that's about it. It still pisses me off that I haven't even had mine for half a year before the announcement. It use to be they'd at least give you a year to enjoy having 'the best'. Any computer or laptop these days seem to have similar issues though. :o

Oh I forgot to mention that my stepdaughter got an iPod gen 5 from her mom for Christmas, so she's ok. Unfortunately, Stepson thought it would be a good idea to password his and we had to wipe it. Now since the best iOS it can run is 4.2.1 he's out of luck with A LOT of applications, including Mog which we use for music. Really sucks. I tried to jailbreak it to see if I could do anything more and it doesn't seem so.

I had an ipod touch 1st generation and while it was working i could do most aps so I am not as worried about it phasing out.

Well as long as you don't reset it you will be able to use whatever is downloaded on there. The problem is when the app developers do updates, but the updates are no longer compatible with the iOS version you're running. D:

I know that, I accidentally updated one of my aps and it stopped working, but most games run fine.
