Queen_Andais 11-03-2012 10:41 PM

Velvet, I am crashing your thread. Sort of, just chilling out outside of my giveaway.

Roachi 11-03-2012 10:43 PM

*sits and eats crunchies*

Velvet 11-03-2012 10:46 PM

<3

So, has anyone gone through a haunted maze and been scared?

Roachi 11-03-2012 10:46 PM

YES. The one in NZ at spookers Auckland is pretty damn freaky lol. I got corned by a jeepers creepers dude on a bus!!!

Velvet 11-03-2012 10:47 PM

I would have shit my pants.

O__O

The Wandering Poet 11-03-2012 10:50 PM

I'd have laughed my butt off... Jeepers Creepers was a hilarious movie.

Velvet 11-03-2012 10:51 PM

I watched those movies as a kid. Scared me to death. xD

Queen_Andais 11-03-2012 10:58 PM

Pet Semetery to this day can still make want to sleep with the lights on. [yes] And I certainly do not sleep with the closet opened. Pretty sad for a 28 year old to say that.

The Wandering Poet 11-03-2012 11:04 PM

I watched Jeepers Creepers with a girl who thinks The Ring is hilarious... I think I'm a bit unphased because of her.

Queen_Andais 11-03-2012 11:22 PM

Poet, I saw Pet Semetery for the first time when I was 6 years old. That's probably why I am all screwed up. Hell, I read the book as an adult and refuse to read it after the sun goes down.

The Ring wasn't terribly scary, suspenseful, but not overly scary.

The Wandering Poet 11-03-2012 11:29 PM

*reads plot* Sounds odd...

Queen_Andais 11-03-2012 11:43 PM

The copy of the book that I have, Stephen King wrote a intro, saying that of all the books he has written, this is the one that scares him the most because it has the element of being the truth.

The Wandering Poet 11-03-2012 11:53 PM

Huh. Well people don't come back to life though... maybe the town and the people were real?

Queen_Andais 11-04-2012 12:05 AM

The circumstances leading up to the child's death. When he and his wife had kids that were younger, they lived in a small town, much like the one in the story and there was a rather busy road there like in the story. There was an event where his son was running for the road and he managed to get him. The book took it one step further with the son being hit by the truck. And the quote from the story, "A man's heart is stonier then the ground."

Flamesofjoy 11-04-2012 12:06 AM

*Pokes the queen's giant fork* O.O

The Wandering Poet 11-04-2012 12:12 AM

Interesting... odd quote, what's it mean?

Queen_Andais 11-04-2012 12:15 AM

Flame, it's my giant spork of doom. Helps me keep the peace. And by peace, I mean creates mayhem and havoc.

Flamesofjoy 11-04-2012 12:17 AM

*Sits into the dip of the spork* Weeeeeeeeee

Hi, dearie. <3

Queen_Andais 11-04-2012 12:46 AM

Poet, it means that men will do things in times of crisis or upset that they would normally not do otherwise. In this case, wanting more time with a loved one, even if it meant they weren't quite right.

The Wandering Poet 11-04-2012 12:51 AM

Huh... poet must be weird... because poet would accept it and (maybe) move on...

Velvet 11-04-2012 01:07 AM

Well, to be honest, I think that both male and female can act irrationally under certain circumstances that test their emotions.

The Wandering Poet 11-04-2012 01:14 AM

True, though poet always acts very calm unless their values are threatened. Poet refuses to break poet's values at all cost.
