Maybe the closet? :D
I always love the use of Ofuda for getting away demons or spirits, or to control zombies.
But I particularly love how in the US version Pokemon they called them stickers. X3 Now I just want to print sheets of them and stick them on people (like llonka) >w< |
another closet? [stare] how about the bathroom?
huh iv'e never heard of the shi. [sweat] |
Wait... THAT's what those sticker thingies are? O.o
Ofuda are usually placed in rooms to either to seal ghosts inside something, or to keep them out. Very diverse uses.
Best bought at shrines. Yup. :3 From the episode "Maiden's Peak" I believe. Still remember it because it was so strange to see stickers and a cross to defeat a ghost >w< |
wow what culture is that from?
Japan. At least for ghosts and stuff. Ofuda are used to control Jiangshi in China too.
oh neat. that a fun idea. [lol]
Oooh that was an interesting episode.
It's one of my favorites~ It had a ghost story and took place during Obon~ Awesome things X3
Obon? I don't know much about the specific days in Japan ^^" I've yet to get to visit there
Obon is celebrated in the states too. Suppose it depends where you live.
It's their celebrating the dead festival. There's music and dancing and fun stuff. During Obon the ghosts comeback, and on the last day they're sent back out with warm wishes. Spirits are said to travel by sea, that's why they had the lanterns set off into the ocean. |
wow american culture is so boring compared to everyone else.
Oh... yeah we don't celebrate that here... kids just want candy =.=
