he rushed over and then ran into the forest coming back with the pastery "eat it your grandfather will survive with out it this once, please eat it" he pushed it into the fins hands... what had he done? why did he have to screw this up..... he hadnt ment to!

Tino wiped his tears and ate the pastry. His pain vanished, and the wound was sealed before his eyes.

He stood up and hugged Berwald. "Thank you...." he said softly.

he hugged him back and hesitantly petted his hair... this was nice... "no im sorry.... I-I was startled i didnt-i-im so sorry"

Tino blushed. "No, I should be sorry... I couldn't come during the day, so I had to sneak out of the house in the middle of the night and wake you from your slumber..."

"why couldnt you come? was someone stopping you?" his protective instinct kicked in and his hold on tino got a little tighter

"My family was getting worried that I wander off into these woods so often...." he admitted. "these are rumored to be very dangerous woods... people go missing all the time in them."

he went quiet at that... yes they did.... and some of those disappearances had been because of him... they were hurting his home. he didnt do it unless it was well deserved. he hugged him tighter "they will never be dangerous of you"

Tino hugged him tightly. "Thank you, Berwald, for looking out for me..."

"its my pleasure tino...." he tucked his chin on top of his head holding him close.... "shall we go to the meadow?" he asked softly

Tino smiled and nodded. "Let's."

he nodded "i can try to make another pastry for him... but i dont know if i can yet.... he wont die if he misses them occasionally...." he said softly not knowing what tino would prefer.... he felt terrible that he had made tino waste what was for his grandfather by hurting him..... he felt terrible that what tino gave that time to make it was blood... he hated it and he wished he could take it back

Tino shook his head. "You don't have to right away..." he replied

he nodded and sat down smiling "care to sit with me?" he asked softly patting the spot next to him hopefully

"Sure." Tino sat next to him.

he smiled and looked around admiring the area... "this is one of my favorite places in the forest" he said quietly

"It's so beautiful here...." Tino agreed. He was looking around at the colorful flowers...

"that was why i wanted to show it to you.... i hoped you would like it better to talk here then on the dark path... so i started bring you here instead... of just staying out there" that and there was the occasional other travelers

Tino blushed. "Thank you...." he said quietly.

he turned to tino looking determined "i think i can make another...." he hoped he could

Tino nodded. "Will you, please?!" he pleaded

"i will try....i still need something for it to work... this time... i want another kiss... please" he said shyly

Tino smiled, then kissed him full-on the lips again, but rather than a peck, it was this time a more passionate kiss.

He kissed back immeadetly the blush coming back full force. he wasnt expecting that but was far from displeased. he leaned on one arm and the other came up so a hand cupped his cheek

Tino continued to kiss.

He broke the kiss and hugged tino closer..."should i go get it now?" he asked placing a shy kiss on the fins forehead
