Ruins [RusFin]
 

War.

Of such the blond-haired, lavender-eyed man remembered as he wandered the ruins of a once-bustling city. Over his face he wore a scarf, so that he might protect his lungs. He had goggles over his eyes to protect his eyes from debris and the wind, and he wore his old, battered military jacket from so long ago....

Ten years ago, the world had been plunged into a great war.

However, this was not just any war.

The world superpowers had attempted to play God by using Biological Warfare. They attempted to create the perfect soldiers; the perfect humans in their desperation to win. Most of the soldiers were required to participate in these inhumane tests

However, the drugs and technologies they had used to achieve such goals were not yet perfected.

They were unsuccessful.

Rather than turn the men into supersoldiers, they became mutants. They became heinous creatures- creatures similar to the “zombies” of which people used to speak during the good days. Only, this was not merely a virus- the entire genepool was mutated; the effects of the drugs had not set in right away, but the damage was already done.

The scary part?

If one of these soldiers killed you, you, too, would become one of them.
The few who remain who are not yet infected struggle to stay alive.
Ammunition was scarce. They all knew that one day, they, too, would succumb to death by the hands of the soldiers.
As a matter of fact, this wanderer wondered if he was the last one. He hadn’t seen another person in weeks….

His name was Tino Väinämoïnen.

Suddenly, he heard the faint sound of shouting. Could it be a survivor? Tino checked the barrel of his assault rifle to make sure he had plenty of ammunition, then began to run towards the source of the noise.

He had been fighting the same 10 soldiers for the past twenty minutes! He was now stuck in a corner with them surrounding him and he swore. he would not fucking die this fucking easy! he shot one in the face and smashed another over the head with his pipe. "FUCKING DIE ALREADY"

he continued to fight as hard as he could he would not be taken without a fight, but he wasnt sure how long he could keep this up after all there were still so many left and the sounds of their fight were probably just drawing in even more

Tino sprinted into the abandoned warehouse from which the shouts were coming. He shot 2 with his sniper, then switched to his assault rifle and released a spray of bullets, being careful not to hit the man.

He noted the help thankfully and swung his pipe, shooting at the same time. these fucking soldiers why did they have be so difficult to kill!

Tino continued to shoot the soldiers in the heads with the rifle until there were only 2 left.

ivan swung his pipe smashing one of them into the other and shot at them repeatedly

Tino sprayed bullets at the two until they were both dead. He returned his rifles to his back with a sigh of relief. "Are you alright, sir?" he asked, extending a hand.

"Da" he took it and shook. "are you?" it wasnt often he found a survior let alone one that wasnt useless. most he found were starving in a corner they had hidden in from the start. in the end he had actually killed the survivors he had found like that. they wouldnt have survived anyway and he didnt needs more soldiers on his ass

Tino nodded. "Yes, I've only got a few scratches...."

"Ive got some stuff for that if youd like." he offered, maybe he could find out more about this stranger... he was curious

"Do you have medical supplies?" he asked, approaching.

"da i scrounged them out of a old hospital awhile back. creepy as hell but worth it. a freaking soldier tried to jump me while i was looking though" he looked around "let move somewhere else before we stop or anything. fighting seems to attract others."
he started heading for the door putting away his pipe and loading his gun

Tino reloaded his gun and followed Ivan.

He walked for a little while before finding a nice abandoned warehouse, there was no one inside, thankfully, he really didn't want to fight any more soldiers right now. he checked the windows and doors quickly before sitting down and pulling out his bag.

Tino kept a sharp lookout for soldiers as Ivan rummaged the bag.

He took out some medical supplies and motioned for tino to come over. "here let me see?"

Tino approached Ivan and showed him his left arm, which had a few cuts and bruises.

he got out the right supplies to tend to his injuries. he quickly did so and when he finished started packing it back up.

Tino observed the bandages. "Thank you, sir." he smiled.
It never hurt to have a companion in a hostile world.... There were so many soldiers...
It was not a matter of if they would survive, but how long. Might as well survive with the others for as long as possible, then....

"Im Ivan by the way, Ivan Braginski" he held his hand out... it had been a long time since he had greeted anyone in a way that was even slightly normal

Tino shook his hand. "My name's Tino... Tino Väinämoïnen." He smiled a little.

He smiled "how would you feel about traveling together tino? itd be nice to have someone who i can watch their back and know theyll have mine"

Tino nodded. "I think that sounds like a plan." he agreed.

"sounds good" he took off his pack again "we should probably go over what we both have"

Tino removed the guns from his back: an assault rifle and a sniper, and the messenger bag from his right shoulder.
