A maid met up with her and lead her towards the dining room where Kazura was waiting with Lazarus. They sat at one of the shorter dining tables with three places set for dinner. There were other servants as well to serve the meal to them. Lazarus looked up at Piper as the maid went to stand by the other maids. He stood and walked over to her and smiled slightly as he offered her his hand. "Relax but be proper, please." Kazura looked up at the woman as Lazarus stood to greet the servant. There was something familiar about the woman but he could not place her.

"Of course" Piper said softly to Lazarus before sitting and giving a warm smile to Kazura. "Good evening my lord." she said giving a slight bow of her head. It hurt her to see his eyes so dark and dull with the loss of memory but she knew it would take awhile to reawaken what had been there before so she would just have to be patient. When the food was served she politely waited for the two males to start eating before did herself knowing that was what most slaves/servants were to do.

Kazura looked at the woman and bowed his head slightly. "Good evening. Your name is?" He asked her as he started to eat the meal placed before him by his servants. The ice lord looked at the woman before retuning his eyes to the food in front of him. Had she seen her before? Did he know her or did she look like someone he knew? It upset the lord at bit not to know but he had no right to ask her. Lazarus said nothing as he watched the two and ate his meal.

"My name is Piper Tameiki... we knew each other a few years ago." Piper said softly before going back to eating feeling a bit hallow inside now... but she knew she would probably get a chance to fix everything later... she hoped anyway. She loved Kazura so much... but she couldn't freak him out... she had to take it slow and hope for the best, or she could end up loosing him forever.

"That's a nice name." Kazura said as he took another bite of food and a sip of his wine. "Where did we meet?" He asked as another servant filled his glass with wine. Lazarus looked at Piper to make sure she did not try to convince him of anything extreme. The lord got angry easily when people tried to force memories on him. He was usually a laid back and misunderstood as cold but only Lazarus and Piper knew differently.

"Thank you my lord... and we met quite a few years back after the war...." Piper said then shivered at the memory and you could tell that whole ordeal still haunted her and it actually made her quite sick... but she was really trying not to think of that right now. She then slowly finished eating and felt allot better now that her stomach wasn't so hallow.

His eyes stayed on his plate as he thought of the war and nodded slightly. "I see. Forgive me. My memory has been causing problems for me." Kazura said as he finished most of the food on his plate and drank some more wine. Lazarus smiled since it had been a while for the lord to admit he had shown his flaws. He looked at Piper and would have to tell her how he was already seeing a difference. The dinner was almost over except for dessert.

"That is quite alright my lord, the war is not a time you would want to remember anyway. However I do hope that your memory returns to you soon, it is quite unpleasant not being able to remember after all." Piper said softly and honestly did hope that his memory returned soon... so he could remember her and the life that they had before all this. She was pretty much finished with her food as well though knew that desert would be out soon.

He nodded and looked to her with a slight twinkle in his eyes. "Quite right, Piper." Kazura said as the dinner dishes were cleared for their dessert plates. The lord smiled slightly as he looked to the dessert then to Piper. "I hope it does as well. I feel as if someone or something important is missing from my life but I don't know what." Kazura said softly more to himself. "Please, forgive my mumbling." The ice demon said as he started to eat his dessert.

"It's perfectly alright." Piper smiled easily before looking to see that desert was being served and she happily thanked the maid that brought her her plate. She then ate the food happily that was actually her favorite disert though she doubted that Kazura knew that still.

Kazura watched her eat the dessert before her and noticed she seemed happy. "Is this dessert a favorite of yours, Piper?" He asked as he took a bite of his own dessert and looked back up at her. The lord tried to think back to where he had seen her but the memory was foggy but she seemed to be smiling at him in the memory. He'd have to ask Lazarus what he knew of her after she was dismissed for the night. "Are you aware what duties of a maid are?" Kazura asked her.

"Yes this is actually one of my favorite dishes my lord, and it's one of the one's that I know how to make the best." Piper smiled to Kazura who seemed to be thinking about something. Before long she was finished and looked up again before smiling and nodding. "Yes I know that as a maid I will help with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and anything else that needs to be done." she said softly with a nod and a slight smile.

"I see. That is good to know." The lord said as he smiled slightly. He didn't know why he smiled but he just felt like he had to. Kazura looked back at his dessert as Lazarus looked at Piper to see if she noticed the smile. His lord barely smiled these days and was glad to see a smile, even the slightest one, on his face. "You'll be my personal maid, Piper. Serve me my meals, taste test my food, and help in other tasks I need you to complete. Can you handle that?"

Piper smiled back happily when she saw the slight smile on Kazura's face then nodded "I can certainly handle that my lord it will be no trouble at all." she smiled softly with a slight bow of her head and really didn't mind being his personal servant.

He took another bite of his dessert as he nodded his head. "Very well. You will start tomorrow. I wake up at 8am and expect my breakfast by 9am. I understand it may take you a few days to get used to my schedule but I trust you to get used to it." Kazura said before looking her and smiling again. Even though he had to reason to smile but he did when he looked at her. Why?

"Of course my lord, and do not worry it will take me no time at all to get the hang of anything." Piper smiled since she already had his schedule down pat... he had been doing the same thing ever since they were teens so she got used to bringing him his dinner and going to bed late because she wanted to sleep beside him. "Is there anything that you need before I retire for the night?" she asked softly smiling back at him easily and caringly.

Kazura looked at his new servant and wondered what she meant by that. He just nodded his head at her statement before looking back at her. "No, there is nothing else I need." The lord said softly as the maids started to clear the dirty dishes from the table. His mind began to turn to wonder if Lazarus knew more about their past.

"Very well my lord I will see you in the morning, sleep well." Piper said softly before bowing at the waist then left and went to her room getting changed then going to bed to hopefully get some well needed rest.

He bowed his head to her and watched her bow then leave. Kazura looked at his second as he sipped his wine. "She will do fine. But what can you tell me about her." The lord said as he tried to think back but he could not remember anything but some of his childhood and after the amulet. His head started to throb a little as he tried to think of memories and scowled. |
"You fought with her in the war and before that she lived in your home. You went on explorations with her for many years until you found that amulet, I'm not really sure what happened after that. Though I do know that when you first met her it was quite some time ago... probably when you were just a teen.... but really you would have to ask her about all of that... I'm sorry I don't know more my lord." Lazarus said softly hoping that that might jog his friends memory a bit more and maybe break him even more free.

His eyes went to Lazarus as he listened about his past with the woman. "It's alright, my old friend. I wish I could remember more on my own." Kazura said as he finished his glass of wine and looked down at the table. "Well, perhaps I will have to see what she knows about me. See if she can jog my memory." He said to himself before standing up from the table. "I shall be adjourning to my chambers for the evening. Good Night, Lazuras."

"It is fine my lord, please do sleep well." Lazurus said softly giving his lord a slgiht smile and bow of the head.
The next morning Piper awoke rather early as usual before she washed up then got dressed and went down to help with breakfast. She wasn't sure exactly what she was supposed to do so she supposed she would just help until Lazuras was up. |
Kazura walked back to his room and quickly went through his nightly routine which he continued from his teen years. The ice lord had laid there in his bed and tried to think of his past. Once again he was stopped by an aching pain in his head. He scowled and growled a bit as he turned on his side and looked at the moon. While staring at the moon, a lullaby sung in a feminine voice. The memory showed whoever sang the lullaby wore the bracelet. This thought comforted him enough to sleep.
Lazarus walked into the kitchen that morning and smiled a bit as he saw Piper working with the maids. "Morning, everyone. Piper, come with me please." He said from the kitchen door. |
Piper smiled as she looked up to see Lazuras and walked over to him easily. "Good morning." she said softly but was curious what this could be about... maybe Kazura? She didn't know but if it was then they would need to go somewhere else and talk since she was sure most of the servants hadn't know Kazura before the war or anything like that.

The second turned his back to the others as he looked at Piper. "I just wanted to let you know Kazura was asking about you. Your presence has already reminded him that you are familiar to him." He said as a smile spread on his face. "So just be yourself and he'll be back to his old self soon." His eyes went to a maid as most of the lord's food was prepared. "Better go to and finish his tray. He should be waking up soon."
