D&D, anyone?
 

So I was just thinking about possibly starting a forum-based D&D group... I'm kind of new to the D&D system, but I've been playing GURPS for a while, and most people seem more interested in D&D, so I'll adapt.

My question is, would anyone be interested? It would be a fairly standard adventure story, probably using 4th edition rules.

Just as a warning, if I decide to go forward it would take a bit of time to set up. I already have fairly solid plans for my NPCs and the general plot and world design, but like I say, I'm newish to D&D. And I guess I'd also have to figure out if the forum's dice rules will work with it. If they don't, I'll have to make alternate arrangements.

So... let me know if you'd be interested, and if you have any ideas/advice/etc. :)

That's one down... guess I need to start building my NPCs so I'll be ready a bit faster. :P

I think if I can get 4 people interested, I'll start a proper thread and we'll begin building characters. I'll probably use this site for the basic rules, just because it's accessible, and I have a friend who can lend me Pathfinder handbooks.

I have the handbook for one version or another, but that would prolly be best just so were all referencing the same thing.

I find 4e a bit easier for new players to understand, so I may try to make an abbreviated rules set for everyone. Or... I know Mythos did abbreviated rules for another forum. I may go begging. :P

My mind was broken by that, by the way... and it still isn't finished. I didn't write out all the feats.

I can copy and paste that somewhere you can site, Wyrm, if you want... It'll take a lot of searching because that website had some corruption issues. : \

Don't worry about it if it's too much work. o.o I don't want to make you do a ton of work just because I liked an idea.

I can't find the one that was on the other forums, but this is the majority of the work.
It isn't as well organized and I don't believe I have as much as I did before on it... but there's still a goodly amount there.

If I finish filling it out, you're welcome to steal my half if you decide to try a minecraft D&D group again. [:D]

quick question. What style is this D&D? is it 3.5 (most commonly used) 4.0 (brand new) Or anything before that?

Probably 4.0 because 1) I have the books and 2) It's the most easily accessible to new gamers, who I expect will be the majority of the players. If there are any rules you particularly dislike in 4.0 or like in 3.5, talk to me about them and I'll see about fiddling things a bit, though.

I'm working on a site that compiles the basic rules. [:)] When I finish and get a couple of NPCs made, I'll post an OOC thread and the announcement here, and we can start building characters!
