Tony just worked on that for a while until Jarvis informed him that Julie was almost ready to go. Then he swore quietly and stopped.

"Go stall her for a minute or two," he told Maeve.

Maeve raised an eyebrow, but nodded and headed back upstairs to see what was going on.

Julie was gathering up her three, since Electrike was still attached to Thor, and Altaria had shown an unusual affection towards Clint. Go figure, since the two both liked to be up high.

"Ready to leave already?" Maeve asked Julie as Gardevoir came to join her again. "I think Tony has some gadget or something he wants to show you so hold up for a second."

Julie blinked but nodded. "No, Electrike, that does not mean you can go back to cuddling Thor," she said, grinning briefly. "Have fun with Tony and his gadgets?"

"It was interesting," Maeve admitted. "Apparently he's building a robot specifically for Rotom to use."

"Really?" Julie snickered. "That sounds kind of awesome and kind of like a horrible idea. How much you want to bet he'll aim it at Coulson?"

"I just hope it keeps Rotom out of R&D while we're working," Maeve replied, grinning.

Julie grinned too, and then blinked when Tony came back with a little pokemon under one arm.

"Here. Two years belated birthday." Tony dumped the little Vulpix in her arms. "Take good care of her."

Julie's eyes got huge and she held on to the little pokemon, looking at her in amazement before starting to cuddle her.

Maeve blinked, not really sure if that just happened or not. She looked at Tony, surprised.

Tony shrugged. "Someone dropped it off in the lobby a week ago," he said. "I don't have the time to take care of her, and I don't want another one." He did grin when the little Vulpix started purring.

Maeve snorted at the thinly-veiled excuse.

"Uh huh," she said. "Well, you've made Julie the happiest agent there is, and you've given me some paperwork to do."

Tony snickered. "Hey, at least Vulpix can be trained to be useful," he pointed out, still grinning. "At least she has good taste."

Maeve just rolled her eyes.

"Good taste doesn't help the paperwork I have to do," she said.

"Shove it off on Coulson." Tony shrugged. "I'd say make Clint do it but he's no good at paperwork."

"Coulson already made it clear my paperwork has no place on his desk unless I'm submitting it to him," Maeve said, pouting a bit. She waved a hand. "Besides, it's not much, just a form or two."

Tony snickered. "That sounds like Coulson," he agreed. "Hey, might as well get it over with while she's busy getting acquainted."

"I wasn't expecting to need a new acquisition registration form today," Maeve pointed out. "I'll need to make a copy when I get home and submit it tomorrow. It's in my master folder on my desk."

Tony just nodded, tempted to tell her to make a second copy. But he hadn't quite gotten that far yet in his plans, so he didn't say anything.

"And now I think it's time for us to go," Maeve said, nudging Julie towards the door. "She needs to get acquainted with her new snuggly and I have paperwork to do, so we should be off."

"See you tomorrow," Tony said with a big grin, watching them go. He was very pleased with himself at the moment.

Julie was too busy getting acquainted with her new Vulpix to pay attention.

Maeve nodded and nudged Julie out the door.

"Come home with me, first," she said. "I need you to fill out part of the registration paperwork so I can hand it in tomorrow and have it taken care of."

Julie nodded. "Alright. Come on, you three." Electrike still looked a little sulky, but Julie figured she'd spoil him a little later and make it up to him.

The next morning, once Maeve finally had Julie's paperwork submitted, she made her way into the R&D testing department again. Hey, she still liked her TM job, and now she could actually, officially call herself a 'specialist' in TMs.

Julie, on the other hand, went to go check a few things with Pepper before she went back to her sort-of day job, mostly doing odd jobs around R&D.
