Name: Megara Alexiou
Age: 23
Ancestry: Acacia, was a beautiful woman from the 8th century around the time when Greece began to go into the dark ages. She was blessed or perhaps cursed with many wonderful aspects. Her golden hair, her gorgeous voice, and her intelligence. But, her biggest flaw was what she was doomed to forever be; a siren. And Sirens craved one thing, and one thing only: The Blood of someone that loved them. And if she didn't get it, her true form would be revealed.
Her true form was still quite lovely, but her teeth were all canines, and her eyes were blood red. In that form she no longer had wings, and her beautiful blonde hair was stained black as ink. Unfortunately, in order to keep herself safe from the villagers she would feast once a month on an unsuspecting male. But one March, she met someone by the name of Troy who had recently sailed into Greece to sell goods. He was handsome and easily fell into her spell. Sadly, She fell into his. And with the newfound love came fear. Aurelia knew that no matter what her heart wanted, it was forbidden. After she..disposed of Troy she realized he had been the hardest of all the men to kill and that she truly cared for him. So, grief stricken, she vowed to never kill another man.
A few months later Acacia found out she was with child. Once she had the beautiful baby and realized it was like Troy and not cursed like herself, she fled to give her son Alexander a better life. Alexander grew up to be a very important man in Athens where he moved once he was old enough to be on his own. As he grew older he also seemed to forget. All he had that was linked to his mother was a silver medallion. Though even after translation he didn't exactly understand it. Eventually he settled down and had three kids, two boys and a daughter. With time his family spread out and had kids of their own.
Heirloom: A palm sized silver medallion engraved with Greek transcript. She is unsure what it says, but can tell it's very old from the letters starting to fade. The heirloom belonged to an ancestor of Megaras from Ancient times, well sort of.. when Acacia ran away from her home in Argolis she knew she would need coins to travel, so she seeked help in a kind old woman that she met in the woods. At the time Acacia thought the woman was nice and begged her to help her hide out to escape her family. The old woman agreed to let her stay the night but once the old woman was asleep Acacia stole some of the womans medallions to sell and fled. But the next day when the woman discovered that Acacia had deceived her, she cursed her. Apparently Acacia had double crossed something that was not to be messed with. So just as Acacia was going to sell the medallion, she realized it had tightened and burned the engraving into her skin. On the medallion it stated in Greek:
Quote:
"They follow our voices
And we feel no shame.
For the lives that are lost
May deliver us from our demise,
To free us from this form
We have come to despise."

At first Acacia thought it was some cruel joke. But then her hair started to change from blonde to black, and her teeth started to all sharpen. So with time she realized what she actually was. She passed this to her son towards the end of her life as to explain why she had to leave him. Every time she feasted, the necklace loosened its grip. So by the time Alexander was born she was able to pass it to him so he would have something left of her to know why she left.
Appearance:Megara was granted her mothers beauty, but her dark hair and emerald eyes from her father. She is often seen wearing more punkish clothes. She doesn't wear them for attention, she just doesn't approve of anything girly. She always wears a corset(Usually of darker colors), a form fitting leather jacket that cuts off at her elbows, dark blue skinny jeans with rips down the legs and then to top it off her favorite pair of black combat boots. She always wears two bracelets on her left wrist to show her love for people of her past. A black one with red X's all along it, and then the second is a woven black and purple one with a wave like pattern.
The young woman has three tattoos. On her back is the tattoo of fallen angel wings that stretch from her shoulder blades down to her lower back. Then she has a tattoo on the top of her left foot of a thorn bush with a beautiful rose on fire growing out of the thorns. One she chose to symbolize her life. And then her last tattoo is one of two swans with their necks forming a heart shape on her right ankle.
Skills/talents: From growing up in a foster home, Megara didn't learn a lot about the outside world until she was eighteen. Though she did learn how to play the violin and piano due to spending a lot of her time in the arts department of the orphanage. Another of her skills is that she gained a beautiful singing voice from her mother. Though lucky for her she was more than just a pretty face, she also was very intelligent. Even at an early age she caught on to subjects in school a lot quicker than most. From living in Greece she knows both Greek and English. Though she cannot read her medallion due to its worn lettering.
Personality: Though she grew up in a foster home she was never one to be a Mary Sue. She had been given a great life by the people at the home, and never really was depressed that she had no family. She knew they were gone for a reason. And though she missed them at times, there was nothing she could do to change the past. She is very flirtatious, strong willed, kind, and yet there's something in her that makes her distance from others if they get too close.
History: Megara doesn't know much about her life before the orphanage since she was so young, but has often heard many stories about her mother being beautiful and her father being a very handsome man. But her life at the orphanage was very good. She was given the best schooling in her village, and a roof over her head. What else was there that you needed? Sure she didn't exactly have the family life, but it was still a nice one filled with lots of kids her age and nice women to take care of her. When she saw of age to leave the young woman left Greece and all she ever knew and never returned to see what else there was in this world.
