Jasper smiled as she touched his cheek and placed his hand over hers, "I will be fine, remember I wont be far. If you need me or if anything happens just call and I will come." he said as he looked down at her. He wanted to stay longer but knew he couldn't. Kissing her cheek, he smiled, "now I better disappear for now." He said as he slowly pulled away from her. Heading over to her balcony, he smiled at her one last time before disappearing into the darkness.

Mariki felt his hand over hers and nodded as she smiled at him. Her cheeks flushed as his lips brushed her cheek and watched him pull away from her. She ran over to her balcony before hearing the door rattle from the maids entering her room. The princess went over to her closet and picked out a dress to wear.

Even though she couldn't see him, he was still there, sitting in the shadows. hen he saw the maids come in, he turned to give her some privacy. But when he turned around, she was all dressed in a cute dress and he smiled. Maybe one day he could stand at her side always and not have to stay in the shadows like a villain.

Her eyes went to the mirror as she blushed and smiled at her maids. "Thank you." The guards were waiting to escort her out into the town. It was kind of dark to be going outside but Mariki did not question it. She followed the guards downstairs until she saw several of the guards tied up and unconscious. "What the heck?" Mariki tried to run but they grabbed her.

Jasper had been watching her carefully and when she headed out of there he quickly followed. He slipped out of the door just before it closed and proceeded to follow her and her guards down the hall. Yet a bad feeling started to bubble as he walked, feeling like something wasn't right. But before he could do anything someone was already grabbing Mariki. Cursing, he quickly darted out and took up the space between the kidnappers and their way out. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." he said as he glared at them. "now set her down."

She struggled against her kidnappers and started to scream. Mariki was struck in the back of the head by one of the fake guards and silenced, momentarily. The princess heard Jasper's voice faintly as she cried and squirmed in the fake guard's grip. "J-jasper!" Her voice was weak because of the strike to her head and her screaming. The fake guards charged at Jasper as the one holding her tried to make a run for it with her over his shoulder.

Jasper glared at the guard that held Mariki and knew he had to think fast. With her screaming it owuld rise attention to the others and hopefully they would get here soon. But for now he had to find a way to get to mariki. But before he could think of a clear way the fake's were charging at him. Thinking quickly, He charged back and as they reached out to grab him, he quickly slid between the legs of the one and while grabbing the knife the fake had on its belt. Standing up, he smirked before running after Mariki. Quickly catching up, he jumped at the man and placed the blade at his neck, "let her go nice and easy or else say goodbye to your blood."

Mariki was let go slowly before she fell to the ground and scrambled to Jasper. Her eyes closed as she started to cry and held onto Jasper's side. The other guards gathered up the fake guards and ran over to Jasper. Some of the guards wanted to take the princess from Jasper. Others thought that without Jasper the princess would have been kidnapped. Dominic stepped forward and looked at Jasper before closing his eyes. "I will talk to the queen. Just remember your stations." He said before leaving. Some guards staying to escort them to the princess's new room.

Jasper wrapped a arm around Mariki once she was at his side and just watched the man carefully till the guards came and grabbed him. Relaxing slightly, he placed the blade on his side and watched the guards. He wasn't too sure if he could trust them, for all he knew they could be a fake too. But once Dominic came forward, he relaxed a bit more. "understood." he said as he let his arm drop from Mariki and stuck to her side as he was lead by the guards to her new room. ONce inside, he looked at Mariki, "are you okay?"

The princess's body shook with fear as she clinged to Jasper. Her eyes went to the guards that came closer to her and Jasper. Mariki went to Dominic as she hid behind Jasper but peeked at Dominic as he spoke. She smiled a little at Dominic. "Thank you." Her hand held onto Jasper's shirt as they walked her to a new room. "Not sure." Mariki said softly as she focused her eyes on the people ahead of her. "Really scared and shaken..."

Jasper nodded as he listened to her and wrapped a arm around her gently. " don't worry everything is going to be fine." He said to her softly and smiled down at her, " I promise nothing is going to happen to you while I am around." He said and kissed her on the head gently. Hopefully the other guards weren't going to be a problem, but if they were he was going to stick to her side like glue. No one was going to grab her while he was at her side.

She felt his arm around her and looked up at him. Mariki nodded and blushed as he spoke to her before he kissed her forehead. "Okay." The princess said softly before looking ahead before the guards came to a stop outside a room in the West. Her guards unlocked the door for them before most of them left to patrol the area. Stepping into the room, she looked around to make sure they were the only ones inside. Mariki tried to keep herself from shaking as she looked back at Jasper.

ONce they were in her new room and the guards had left, Jasper looked at her and could tell she wasn't happy. Wrapping his arms arms around her, he held her close to him. He didn't say anything as he stroked her head and tried to make her feel as safe as possible. Kidding her head gently, he smiled down at her and made it clear to her that he wasn't going to be leaving her side anytime soon.

Mariki held onto him as she closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down. "That was one of the scarier attempts." She said softly and looked up at him. "I'm glad that you came. I don't know what would have happened to me if you weren't there." Her eyes closed as she started to cry and held onto Jasper. "This is why you can't leave me." Mariki said softly.

Jasper just held her close and gently stroked her head as he tried to get her to calm down. "They would probably..." he trailed off as he decided not to go onto detail. He knew what people did to girls that they had control over and it was never pretty. Kissing her head gently, he held her closer, "and that is why I am not going to leave you. I am going to protect you with my life and no one is going to take you without me knowing." he said to her softly

Her crying slowly came to a stop before looking up at Jasper. Mariki blushed as she wiped her eyes and sniffled. She looked away from Jasper as she slowly let go of him. "I used to think I could handle myself. But...this is like the fourth time you've had to save me." The princess said as she moved to sit on her new bed.

Jasper smiled down at her as she calmed down and watched as she slowly pulled away from him. "That may be true but you are a strong person to be able to handle the situation." he said as he walked over to her and sat down next to her, "and I am happy to save you and keep you safe. It is what i want to do." he said as he smiled at her.

She looked up at him as he spoke about her being strong. Mariki blushed and looked away from him as he sat next to her. Her eyes went to him as he continued to speak and smiled back at him. "I won't deny you what you want to do." The princess said as she leaned against him.
