XD good for you.
Sounds like a big enough commitment.

The Wandering Poet 05-01-2013 02:58 AM

Nah, just auto subscribe from posting and wait for them to reply ^^

twotickets 05-01-2013 02:59 AM

Yeah, but, you know, welcoming every new member? There are how many thousands of people on this site? And how many new people coming to it daily?

The Wandering Poet 05-01-2013 03:12 AM

Only a few. I recently started though... I used to neglect this forum so bad...

twotickets 05-01-2013 03:33 AM

Oh, okay. So how do you decide which ones to answer?

The Wandering Poet 05-01-2013 05:06 AM

I answer all of the unread ones :)

As the ones I missed many years ago have either quit or long since been active.

twotickets 05-01-2013 06:11 AM

Fair enough. :-)

xuvrette 05-01-2013 09:11 AM

lol. Well not ALL newbies make a thread in freshmeat forum...
unless Poetet PM all newbies... which... I have still yet to figure out how to... XD

twotickets 05-01-2013 10:27 AM

There is also that, I suppose...

MinakoAxule 05-01-2013 04:13 PM

I usually try to post in the threads where the newbies are confused on what to do. If the newbie seems stable I'll just say hi and not direct them anywhere.

The Wandering Poet 05-01-2013 06:31 PM

I always try to make them smile or relax a little ^^

xuvrette 05-01-2013 07:05 PM

that is so hardworking and so nice of you.

Why do you want to adopt: I am looking to fill my ranks with willing body's..Uhh I mean..Uhh let me start over! Okay! I want to adopt so I may mold them into my image and we can take over the world! I'm kidding! Being able to adopt a newbie helps out the community, you get to help them better understand the site.
What are you looking for in a newbie: Must enjoy long walks on the beach and howling at the moon..Must be willing to enjoy good times. Achieve to be the very best like no one ever was. Must know the rules to surviving a horror movie/slasher flick. Know the meaning of life. Has to understand what a spirit evolution is. Who is the Dr.? I'm kidding!! hehehe Must be fun and enjoy silly things.
Fun Facts: I have a romantic relationship with my bedroom door, I can repeat the Lion King for you word for word...without the movie playing! I have a strong desire to learn how to play the violin.
Time Zone: PST
I am willing to adopt this many newbies: 2

Seridano:
]: I spent 40 minutes on this...and deleted half the stuff i had typed lol <_<

twotickets 05-02-2013 12:04 AM

*suppresses the urge to test the The Lion King factoid*

What are the rules to surviving a horror movie/slasher flick? Are they the same as the ones for women to avoid rape? ("Never go out alone at night!")

Zombie Pixie 05-02-2013 12:12 AM

You dont know? D:
Im pretty sure its different then that...

Aoi Kazuya 05-02-2013 12:17 AM

Ooh this looks like an interesting idea :3 i seem to have been neglecting the fresh meat forums...it used to be so much fun welcoming new members to the site~ I would love to help out if I can :D

Why do you want to adopt: To make friends :D It's always kind of awkward joining a new site with large groups of people who are already comfortable or somewhat comfortable with one another, it'd be nice to be there to lend a helping hand to those who might be a bit too shy or something.
What are you looking for in a newbie: I don't really mind anything as long as they don't mind my sometimes random nature and my bouts of immaturity. Someone who can fangirl/boy with me over things would be awesome too~
Fun Facts: I love Asian culture and despite living in the US have mainly just a basic knowledge of American pop culture, so there's a big chance that even if I have an inkling of say a music artist that you like...there's a very high possibility that I won't like them. Video games are awesome~ I'm a big fan of rpg games, though I've been picking up a lot of horrors recently, haha. Music is my passion, and I love writing. I'm also chock full of the most random information, haha. It's stuff you'll probably never need to know in real life applications, but it's interesting nonetheless :3
Time Zone: EST (though with my sleeping schedule I'm up till 2 or 3 in the morning and then I'm up again by 6, haha)
I am willing to adopt this many newbies: 2~

The Wandering Poet 05-02-2013 01:44 AM

Well, it's just that there are so many sets of rules...

I mean, there's the ones for a zombie apocalypse, and the ones for a girl alone in a house/apartment, and the ones for a group of high school/college kids who go somewhere remote for spring break, and then of course there are rules for watching the films...

Well zombie apocalypse falls into its own category
Highschool kids alone in the woods falls under slasher...Unless we talk about Cabin in the Woods...
And the rules for watching them films need not apply here
Girl alone in the basment...Hmm could go either or the horror and slasher but ima say slasher

The Wandering Poet 05-02-2013 02:02 AM

Girl in the basement... the Horror of the Sunlight Rays

Zombie Pixie 05-02-2013 02:05 AM

Should make a thread about this stuff for Cherry's contest thing...<_< hurry someone go do it!!

Zombie Pixie 05-02-2013 02:09 AM

"Cabin in the woods"...makes you think its gonna be some slasher flick. Oh no..NO

twotickets 05-02-2013 02:13 AM

XDXDXDXD ehehhe awesome. I love films like that.

Zombie Pixie 05-02-2013 02:15 AM

Im not kidding i was really confused..and you dont really fully understand whats happening till almost the end of the movie O_O But even then your still confused.
