She stretched a bit and shifted over to the window. "We should be there soon right? Fleek is probably pulling out his feathers..."
"I'm sure he'll be alright... he did get to visit you.. he'll probably just be really excited that you're back." |
"We should be seeing the other station soon. I bet Fleek is waiting at the station just swaking at the rails telling the train to hurry up. You'll probably be tackled back into the train one the doors open."
"I wouldn't be surprised. I'm excited to see Lilly to. I'm sure she's been keeping Fleek out of trouble while we were gone." |
"Or so we hope... if they find the kitchen on their wanderings.... We won't have meat for months..."
"maybe you should be the last off the train...." |
"That would be depressing...I do really like meat." Mel placed her chin in her hand and sighed. "But Lilly knows better! She better not eat it all."
"Well even if she knows better that doesn't mean Fleek does." |
She nodded, "He isn't castle broken... all he knows is if there's food he wants, it's his... unless it's Lilly's...."
"I doubt we'd run out of meat anyway... they'd just get more... you know, with magic..." |
"I just don't want to get back to school with a bunch of teachers waiting for us on the station to yell at us about Fleek."
"Magic~" She waved her hands around the grinned. She then turned to the window and blinked. "I can see the station now." |
"Hey, Dumbledor said I could keep him, they can take it up with him."
"... he is sort of uncanny about these things... he'll have enough supplies to feed the hungry griffon and then some." |
"That's true. You do suddenly have a nice balcony in your room now for him. Not that I'm in there a lot..."
"Uh huh..." Mel raised her eyebrow. "That's why I'm stuck out of the room sometimes." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mel rubbed her arm and groaned. "Ugh. I bet Ron didn't have fun polishing the trophies either." She stood up and stretched, cracking her back. "Still totally worth punching that jerk." She looked up at the clock and smiled. "I'm finished and just in time too. Time is almost up." "Mel should be finished with her detention, right?" Fred looked over at the clock. |
She nodded, patting Fleek's side as she brushed out his fur, listening to him purr gleefully. She doubted he'd let her leave ever again. "Yeah. Did we have anything planned?" She looked over at the two boys that were sitting by the heater in the small room she shared with Mel. she left the door open in case someone needed to speak with them, or if they thought something was going on between the rooms occupants. More rumors was the last thing she wanted or needed. She laughed softy as the griffon nuzzled her and gently pushed him away. "Stop that..."
He shrugged sightly. "Nothing aside from dinner." He blinked a bit. "Unless Fred had something planned with you.... I was just planning on hanging out in the common room." |
Fred stretched and placed his hands behind his head. "I think I'm getting replaced by an animal." He chuckled. "I can't complain. I think he'd kick my butt." He rubbed the side of his head. "I could probably check in on the shop. Give George a break, unless my lady doesn't want to spend some time there." He looked over at Harry. "You gotta think of something nice to do with Mel. She is coming from detention. Gotta show interest before she moves on." He wagged his finger. "Right D?" He looked over at her and blinked.
Mel rubbed her neck as she made her way down the hall. "I've been here for a little while now and I still get lost." She peeked around a corner. "I think it's this way." She continued on her way back to the common room. |
She rolled her eyes. "She's not going to move on... she's just very shy when it comes to boys.... though you should make your move, or she'll think you're not interested..." She giggled. "Well, he does love me... but I don't think you've been replaced. Anyway, we can go to the shop when Mel gets back."
"But... I...." Fidgets in his seat and mumbled. "I am interested..." |
"I'm trying to help him, D. He's moving slower then you guys in the morning." Fred laughed and looked over at Fleek. "As long as I'm not getting replaced. That's the most important thing."
"Ah ha!" Mel stood in front of the portrait who gave her a weird look. She rubbed the back of her head before mumbling the password, the picture swung open and she walked inside. She made her way up her room and peeked her head in. "Hi guys!" She walked in and flopped on a couch. "Detention sucked..but still totally worth it!" |
She laughed softly and shook her head. "At least you enjoyed yourself." She stood up, straightening out her clothes as she made her way over to Fred. "Lets go save your brother...." She smirked looking over at Harry. "Good luck~"
"!!" His cheeks flushed as he cleared his throat and glanced away. |
Fred nodded and stood up, taking her arm. "Yeah. He would use the break at least. It's not fair if he's stuck with it all the time. It's our store too." He smiled and lead her towards of of the secret entrances to the shop. "Yeah! Good luck Harry!"
"Good luck?" She blinked and looked over at Harry. "You have a test coming up or something?" Mel yawned, rubbing her shoulder. "I was gonna cheat and have Mana clean all the trophies but I figured it would be a bad idea. I was technically in a hallway..I wouldn't want anyone coming across her." |
She giggled and smiled, hopping onto his back, watching the passage over his shoulder.
He bit his lower lip. "Um.. no.. they're just teasing me.. it's nothing....." |
He stumbled a bit and laughed, holding her on his back so she shouldn't slip. "Am I gonna be a horse now?" He looked at her over his shoulder at her. We got some new gags in the shop. You can help us price them."
"Oh..ok." She place her hands behind her back and stared up at the ceiling. Her stomach growled a few moments later. "Heh.." She laughed a little. "I should probably eat.." Mel sat up and looked over at Harry. "Wanna join me?" |
She rolled her eyes, retorting sarcastically. "Oh joy..."
"S-sure..." He smiled and stood up quickly, clearing his throat. "I mean, uh, yeah... I can go with you..." |
"Come on...you know you'll love pricing all of the things." He laughed and made his way into their shop, looking around.
"About time. I wanted to grab a bite to eat. I thought I was going to starve to death." "I highly doubt it." He raised his eyebrow, laughing a bit, setting D down. "I'm glad I won't have to go alone.." She rubbed her arm and smiled, heading to the door. "So what did you guys do while I was in detention?" |
"Watch Fleek knock over D about three more times until he settled down when she started brushing him. It was quite amusing."
She stuck out her tongue before she was set down and ran over to George, hiding behind him. "Your brother is trying to make me do is work for him..." |
Shame on you, Fred." George shook his head at him. "You shouldn't be trying to get her to do your work for you."
"I just wanted her to help with pricing." "That is a chore." He patted D's shoulder. "Good luck." He smiled and headed to the exit. "That sounds...exciting..?" Mel raised her eyebrow, looking over at him as they headed to The Great Hall. "Maybe he'll calm down someday..Then D will want to ride him around in school so she won't have to walk anymore." |
"What! Hey! You're suppose to get me out of situations like this... Traitor!" She huffed softly and crossed her arms. "You're horrible George!"
He chuckled softly. "Is she that lazy?" |
"I'm not horrible I'm just a little lazy too." He looked back and waved before he exited.
"This is your baby now, too." Fred walked over to a few boxes and opened one of them. "Besides it'll be fun! We can make them any price we wish and people would probably still pay for them since they're so good." "I think it depends on her mood." She nodded and made her way through the doors of the Great Hall and walked over to the Griffondor table and sat down, getting a plate ready. "I thought I was going to starve to death. I'm so happy to see food." |
She scowled playfully and sighed, hopping up onto the counter. "That seems a little unfair. So long as you're making a decent profit, you can get the prices low, then they'll buy more."
"I doubt they'd let that happen. I've never heard of a student starving to death." |
"I was mostly kidding. We try and keep our prices very fair and at the same time not cheap enough where we'd go bankrupt. He started pulling out things they needed to price, setting them down on the table.
"That's good to know." She stretched her arms over her head as she yawned before she started eating. "So..you have any plans for today?" |
"Uh, well... not really. All the homework was caught up on before we left, so just relaxing really..."
She blinked at the items for a moment and poked them. "Can't you just magic them to do it? I mean I'd probably have to leave the room, but still... it'd be faster..." |
